Title Princess Silver Spoiler
Oooo the plot sounds kind of similar to Goodbye My Princess but with a badass female lead. I can't wait for this…
Uhm the main male lead didn’t kill her family? Or harm her in any way? Can’t be the same plot lol

I have a feeling this is going to be one of those dramas where it's really interesting in the beginning and then…
Sadly it is like you said lol. I started it and thought it was interesting, however, it is now just meh. Apparently a lot of people think the lead actor acts very well, for me, it wasn’t the case, I’m not getting any emotion impact when the two leads together :/ I’m now watching it for the 2nd n 3rd male lead, their stories are much more engaging

up to episode 27. hmm, the main female lead is not getting interesting fast enough (her character development…
27 and still isn’t great, huh? Someone told me to shoulder through 10 and it will get better, at this stage, nada lol

Everything everyone is saying is true: the chemistry between the leads was exceptional and the overall plot was…
JW is meant to be like ZY in term of characteristic because after all, he’s the manifestation of what make the monk in love /infatuate with ZY :) so yes, JW is the male version of ZY

I’m guessing based on an article saying it. Idk how the series/book ends, however there is a scene at the ending credit that has 2 white hairs kowtow side by side which seems like a wedding of some sort. Sooo maybe happy ending? Lol

Does anyone know if this will be a happy or sad ending drama ?
It supposed to be worse than goodbye my princess, ending wise. However, so far, it’s very good. Recommend to watch it, because the premise is much better than goodbye my princess, which I can’t even stomach to start

Uhm it’s too sterile lol. Sure there are killing scenes, but I barely see blood lol! Not even the sword/dagger…
Just want to let you know it isn’t like the trailer lol. Maybe later on, but so far, I barely see blood lol. Sorry if you are offended :(

Looks interesting. Not holding back on the bloodbath, too.
Uhm it’s too sterile lol. Sure there are killing scenes, but I barely see blood lol! Not even the sword/dagger has much blood on it >_>

Meh.I mean, good visuals and fight scenes, but other than that, they look pretty much dead when saying dialogue.
Sadly That’s how I felt too. Also the emphasises on little reactions thing annoys me, it likes they can’t act, so we need to be show those things (the clenching hands, the fluttering eyes, the twitching of the eyes), way too much focus on that makes me feel like watching the bold and the beautiful with them stopping at the facial expression for a good 5s so we get the emotions the characters going through *facepalm*

historical c-dramas scares me of with their sad endings.. i do not dare watching it unless some holy soul assures…
I’m not sure how the novel ends, but the opening sequence has one drawing of them facing each other, and next one was they face away from one another. Sooo I’m not being hopeful lol

seems that the rating is going downis it so bad... i need some first impression
My initial impression: I original thought it will be wuxia drama, with good fighting scenes, and it will naturally draw me in. However, there are a lot of problems: it is just not exciting -.- I’m 5eps in and I’m getting so much flashbacks, I think I saw what happen in ep1 about 5 times by now... then there are seem to be 5 couples (maybe 3 but toooooo many) by this stage as well, which makes the story very disjointed in a sense, because each episode I’m spending 5-10mins on each couple’s plus flashbacks, makes the whole thing at the beginning a drag, a massive drag. I want to love it, but uh.... and the female lead is like so docile -.- and while I like the slow romance between the leads, at the same time, I don’t feel the chemistry :/ and then there is this: why are we wasting time setting up like she and her sect brother potentially have a thing for one another at the start, then turn 180 and they have a thing for a completely different person? I like the male lead enough, but he doesn’t look that dashing, and the main girl, initially she isn’t at all pretty for me, but after a while, she looks enough like ZLY, that’s I’m like ok, I can see her beauty, but her character is like a wood, useless and totally no point atm, that it makes it really hard to keep going. And with so much flashbacks and boring talking, and in a way, everything feels so slow (the tower is nice, but I do not need a 2-3mins of seeing her walking through it to bring the dude medicine -.- especially when the start was so slow already). So set up of the main male lead is cool, set up of the female lead initially was ok, then drop down the pit of hell, plus many flashbacks (backstory of other characters and main female lead’s memory) plus main side way couple story set up = disjointed, slow, boring and so far, I find myself skipping constantly, there is no drive for me to watch it properly, which is a pity.

And the fight scene, sure it’s high budget (in term of smokes and colours), but exciting fight sequences? Nope. Plus they used the soundtrack from the flame daughter for ep1 fight sequence, which does not fit at all to the scene. When you see flame daughter fight sequence, the music goes very well to the slow and fast pace of the fight. But in here, it doesn’t work because there is no slow or fast pace. I do appreciate the kicks scene in ep1, that’s how old wuxia used to be, and the dagger style of the male lead, however, it’s rather short, and in a sense, doesn’t feel impressive. And too little of them. So far, I put this into idol love wuxia try to be drama, possible gonna be the same as the legend of qin, good production, but drawn out, slow and boring and a total disappointment!

While I have no problem with their age gap, I also do not know why she has to be a high schooler. The story would…
I see. For me, it just the story wouldn’t be much different if she was a bit older. So to pick her as a high schooler felt more like a ploy to connect with the target audiences rather than for the actual plot line

Uhm, he was going to drop out, but he still has his training even if he did drop out? Also we (at least I don’t) don’t know whether he did drop out or not? Anyway, a bit clearer would help?

Didn’t know much about her, and I didn’t like crouching tiger and hidden dragon that much (sorry but the whole standing on the willow branch is just ridiculous, martial art might be a bit out there, but it still follows a bit of physics, and not a total fantasy style). However, as I keep seeing her on the screen, the more she’s impressed me. She’s so versatile, she can be bad ass, kicking butts left and right, and down right vulnerable and all lady like, or she can be uptight, with this dignity air that no one should be messing with her. She’s one of the actresses that has so much charisma on screen, can act well, versatile and quickly grab your heart without you noticing it. Love her to bit xD

I mostly agree with the three heroines you mentioned. I think Jin Sunmi is an interesting female lead in her own…
While I have no problem with their age gap, I also do not know why she has to be a high schooler. The story would make not much different if she was in university. Or pass 21 years old. But I guess they want to target teenager/high schooler, so they need a FL that is at the right age that their target audience can identify with

You are not the only one lol. While I wasn’t falling asleep, the drama felt sooo long for just the first 4-6 eps, I can’t remember exactly which eps I stop, but after 4, it definitely felt like a chore to keep watching. And something about the female lead that just put me off, she comes across as annoying rather than cute, and super immature when she was supposed to be quite mature.
Unnie25 Apr 21, 2019
:( I stopped watching goblin because of the female lead, not because of any of the unbiased opinions you listed though, to me, her character was annoying, she is not cheerful or vibrant the right way. Could be her way of portraying the character or how her character was written, but she was the main problem that make me stop goblin.
