I haven’t finished it yet. the drama really fleshed out ShiYan, and actually made ShuYi a lot more likeable, as it gives both characters more chances to be together, situation to show they do like each other despite all the “schemings” and “mistrusting”. I haven’t got to any x-rated stuffs yet! it’s an audio book so we’ll see how this done lol! so far, no 2nd or 3rd couples. I’m on p4/p7 of the audio book.

so I’m listening to the audio book currently, and I’m amazed at how closely this follow the novel. only 1/4 through though, some minor changes but the majority of the event, what the character said, the feelings in each event is matched perfectly in the drama!

I’m currently obsessed with only for love lol. that obsession is helping me not too obsessed with MM 🤣

I thought she only did that one poem: ShuYi does not know how far town name is, little Yan of the house of Shi jealous with the snow (which is sooo cute) 🤣

noted! after ep 8! I’ll check it later when more come out, atm, it’s easy to check out this drama as I still have sub with iqiyi due to MM, so it’s easier to watch than using other website that full of ads

I’ve finished OFL x 2 lol! that gotta be a record any show did for me, finished it n immediately rewatched the whole thing! only part I FF was the business talk, other than that, 90% rewatch is a record n immediately right after a watch! then I read the manhua! lol! now I want to hunt down the novel 😅 is it based on a novel 🤔

well, I’m still in the haze of MM n OFL, so I’ll be rewatching a lot of those, I even finished the manhua for OFL lol! (that was easy because it hasn’t even finished yet! and yes, we need something to captivate us! like if I can manage to sit through miss the dragon, totally hating the two leads, but fall heads over hill for DW n his bird lover, I think I’m easily pleased lol!

Uhm, unless I’m bored and have nothing else to do lol. so far, the story is rather meh. I also don’t see the chemistry. and tbqh, I’m not a fan of those masks n capes lol. for actors, who can act well, they can act outside the mask, but for weak actor, the mask just make the whole thing bland 😖(Vicky Zhao, while I don’t like her as much as Ruby Lin, can act with the mask so well in painted skin, is a prime example of someone who can act with mask). n those capes, not only are they ugly, but I know their function, which is to make body double easier, so I’m super not into them 😖I’ll still check some clips later on if I come across them, n if they change my mind, I’ll come back. the back story, though only at the beginning, feel rather tropey lol. so everyone misunderstood her, she has been good all along, she took his spirit river, n save him n now he’s going to return the favour, and the whole student teacher pact feels like a plot device so that we are in the student teacher love genre lol. it’s not a trope I’m keen on unless done exceptionally well. like I’m not even sure if there’s something to look forward to? a love story? because by n large, the story doesnt seem to have any intrigue? unless I have missed them all somehow lol 😅

idk what the stylist is doing but they are doing him in a disservice in this drama! he does not look good for the majority of the episode I watch (3 so far). there were some frames where he looks good, but by n large, his styling or maybe his acting + the makeup does not work on me. and I’m the type that only see man handsome if they acted well (for that role)! DW was so dreamy in miss the dragon, n sadly it’s the only role I like of him so far. anyhoo, I kinda not feeling it for this drama so going to drop it lol. HF!

oh I know these tropes, but that’s why I said if they are trying to do this as a satire, we way pass it 🤦‍♀️ if you are going to do beard, do better than this non-existence goatee lol 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I look at it and I’m like it’s like one of those girls that unfortunately overjealous n shave their facial hair n turn it into beard 😖because DW looks more like a girl than a handsome man 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Uhm, the talisman all looks different n squiggly, n she has not just 1 type of talisman, to be able to just pick one n use it correctly in 1 go seems a bit off lol. plus not just the talisman, it’s also the mirror. she looks at the mirror once n say ooh it’s this mirror. and I’m like it doesn’t even look that different! she can see what happens inside the mirror but to be able to name the mirror?! lol!

Uhm, ep2, he was still talking about this memory loss lol. after that, no more as we are back in the past event. nothing confusing, I’m just not liking the “why won’t you remember” lol.
