so my theory is: the guy who incited the crowd to attack HRY is the heaven making sure the trial is going on. everyone believe in multiple timelines, where I believe doesnt matter which timeline, things that mean to happen, happens. n if it’s not, someone has to make sure it is, here come insert heaven’s work lol. so even if HRY goes back in time to fix their misunderstanding, heaven will find a way to kill Shi’An. it’s cruel, but it’s part of their trial. it’s also explained why they have Shi’An when they were not meant to. (just a theory, many believes the other timelines are happy n dandelion, I’m a bit more grim lol).

but it also explained why the time goddess resurrect BJS. everyone thinks it’s because the writer want to give the audience a HE, but I think it’s because HRY passed the test. she has accepted fate, whereas before she would fight fates. apart from the first one, as an experiment, she went n change XJS’s fate, but nothing has changed. she understood that since she can’t change fate, but she can make ppl life a bit better, so she went n fix those. she didn’t try to rescue the lotus or Lin Mo or her son, or even BJS.

lol, I gave up on LGIEF right on the last 2 eps. not saying I don’t buy that BS (but yes, I’m short, I don’t buy that BS lol), but it’s kinda a bit jumping hoops to make any kind of sense lol (n even so, I really need to believe in magic lol)

thing is Chinese culture believe in fate. if it meant to happen, it meant to happen. idol drama has made everyone want everything to be a happy wholesome drama. it’s not what this drama is trying to tell you. the message is never to corner yourself, even if life is hard and the suffering is never ending. the reason why they past their tribulation is that they overcome their grief/how to deal with it. for HRY, she accepted her child’s death. because she didn’t go to change his past. it’s not just about they don’t want to neglect the character growth, pains n suffering. but because the message wasnt about what if this pain didnt happen.

actually this gotta be the first xianxia where I feel the ending was perfect lol. that’s because I already saw how they function as husband and wife for 70+ years. how they function as immortal couple. how they function if they have a quarrels. like every aspect of a married life, they have shown us lol. n I know they will make more babies, because my HRY will subtly signal her husband for extra activities without shame 😛

not a redemption, but the last bet I guess. he knew she would go back n change his past (high chance because of who she is). n even if the artefact doesn’t require his life, he can go back to change the past, but his current self won’t change, he would still be in mourning of his family, living an empty life. so all in all, best for him to die lol

also I think when you can’t live on the past. so even if u change the past, u still the current u, u don’t forget stuffs. so XJS’s pains would still be there (if he was to be able to use it). he would change his past, but not himself, so to him, it’s better to die than just stick where he has been lol

main problem is this one has a lot less romantic moment than MM, the kissing scenes are condensed down to just a touch of the lips (albeit it’s a deep one, rather than just light peck). n while feud has a great story, it’s rather too matured lol. ppl expect to see a happy family at the end, not just the 2 leads, missing the point of pains n what it does for character’s development. MM is easier to digest, pair with many romantic scenes, great soundtrack, it will win over feud.

I like them both, n grateful that BL did two very different xianxia, one is for the young, n one is for the matured
