Not much of a triangle. I would say more of entanglements, and an unclear kinda feelings, but once she sees through everything, there is only 1 winner :)

Uhm, so far so good. Their CP has favourable reception, 1 - because JT has a successful drama before, 2 - she is more respectful in the industry than BL (according to cnetz) (I love BL but looking at the amount of hates articles toward BL vs JT, that’s the conclusion). However, I don’t think JT will pair with XK again, she’s pairing with every other young guys, and there are a lot of them before she can return to XK lol

Think of it as pride and prejudice lol. Elizabeth has not considered Darcy at all then bam, turn around and madly in love with him lol. The prejudice that JXN has for XW is so deep that at one stage, her brain goes he loves you, and she is like no way. Yet when she supposed to be in the saddest time, mopping over her breaking up with ZZ, she thought of XW and his words, finding someone more suitable, and immediately think he’s more suitable. For a person who supposed to fear him, she’s somehow completely trusting him. And even though, they were not in a lover relationship, they work in sync as well as showing how they respecting each other boundaries. She doesn’t interfere with his work/plan, and he also trusts her to do her work/plan. Unlike other ML, he didn’t hover over her, to have a backup plan to make sure her plan doesn’t fail. No, he gave her advices and let her be the independent woman that she is. This shows us how they will work as a couple, where you guess it, he will let his wife hold him by the nose and happily let her do so lol.
You don’t think he’s treasure her? He treasure her for both life times. She can marry anyone she likes, and he would silently be behind her, trying to protect and helping her. She was just too blind to see it in the first life

Kissing her on her forehead is inexcusable? Yikes! Let me just put it this way, if someone you know (have favourable feelings) kiss you on the forehead, you don’t immediately go r4pe! Inexcusable! You would talk and figure out what’s going on. If it’s a stranger, sure, inexcusable because that is indeed creepy. Point is consenting is great, but in a sense, wouldn’t that kill the romance and what make us human? Our relationship is always at some point has a flaw under today political correct lense. Like I’m sure many long term relationships will eventually meet this where the husband want it, but the wife doesn’t, but she would do it anyway to make him happy. In a sense, she doesn’t want it and she might voice it but he wanted it, etc etc. or how many times a girl forced kiss a guy because it’s fun/prank, but that’s ok and never get frowned upon. Point is you need to judge the situation, and remember it’s the story as a whole, not just part of it. Also:
1 - if only you have read the book, you would know TTEOTM has whitewash the ML so hard. Don’t get me wrong, I love TTEOTM, but fact is TTJ in the drama is no anti hero :/ he’s a hero that is more misunderstood than antihero lol, he did nothing evil lol.
2 - YXW at the beginning isn’t the same as XW at all. Sure, he forced kiss her twice, choke her once, but he has never forced her to do anything. He did not interfere with her plan, he opposed to them (when she wanted to leave the capital), but he also willing to help her to get out of the capital fast without saying anything (not his feeling, not how she should stay back). He also would never lay a hand on her, his choking (as some ppl jokes about it - how comes there is no mark on her neck) happened like twice, one of them during his episode, the other - director’s choice lol. When he is jealous, he didn’t ask JXN to stop hanging out with YL, instead he cooked her an elaborate sour banquet to let her know his feeling. He also didn’t force her to finish it, he forced her to try it lol. When he was jealous of ZZ, he did not kill him nor harm him in any way. His forced kiss after knowing she spent time with ZZ was more of the fact that she has not been showing her feeling toward him clearly enough, and in a sense he’s frustrated about that. But did you notice how after the kiss, he stopped after saying I want you. Only after she stopped resisting that he continues the kiss.
Last and not least, when he said you are mine, and she replied no, I’m not. He said: then I am yours. Not oh no, you are definitely mine. All these flaws, the force kisses, the yelling due to the tantrums at her are his flaws. He was not and never intended to be the green flag, goody two shoes guys we always get for ML.
If you look at TTJ, what did he do that is so bad and is his flaws? His flaws were that he was born with a devil bone. (I can tell you his flaws from the novel, but I’m always having a hard time trying to argue he’s an anti hero in the drama lol).
And this is why, by the end of it, JXN will teach him how to love someone, because clearly our boy doesn’t know those gentle, considerate acts.
And you are right, ML was portrayed in a way (not just through his actions, but also visually), to make sure he’s not romanticised. He’s the hero you root for, but wouldn’t try to find the real life version to fall in love to.

Yes, non R- rated version. Only part it didn’t follow is JXN and ZZ as we don’t have enough time for those two to be together, then he broke it off with her, then she mopped around and move on lol. We barely have enough room to give everyone a story, while not being rushed lol. There were a lot more nuances between the leads, especially with the girl’s death in the last episode, which happened way before the palace, which shows more of the sad, pitiful life of XW, how his love for JXN is rather sad, and how she understands not just him, but how they fit each other like a mould.
I didn’t read all of it, just some parts, as the politics is omg lol (skim through the politics to get to their parts lol), but the feels n what’s not is very much like the drama. Also the novel has quite a few 18+ stuffs lol 🤣 let’s just say you don’t need thirsty fanfic because the novel is already very thirsty 😅

Because in the original novel, she die. And her death means to have a meaning that is paired with ZYZ (the bad guy who killed her). He’s always flip flop, and she’s loyal to the end. Both are not good, their deaths meant to tell ppl to take things in moderation. Yea, it’s suck she die, but they wanted to keep that message 😞

Oh I love that extra episode so much, I constantly rewatching it. The way he was smiling and how they are beaming at each other. The cinematography like you mentioned, the music, everything just fit. Perfectly. It likes the most perfect thing I’ve seen in cdrama land lol

The other two are from SOKP, and it was the post to say even though they are far away (filming for different crew), they are still doing the same stuffs 🤣 so not a mistake to post here 🤣 3/4 are SOKP casts 😜 oh our cuties = our casts lol (they were all very cute in the variety show 🥰)

Nw :) not everyone will resonate with a love story. It could be time, it could be a state of mind. We are all watching for entertainment purposes, here to hope you will find one that make you love it as much as we love this one 😊

lol, pretty sure many perfume commercials use married actors/actresses. The only strong thing the agency against is crime/criminal acts. Many actors/actresses/singers got married and their perfumes still sell well: Johnny Depp was until the whole Amber Heard saga, and it went back to popular again after his trial. He was married before that. Timothée Chalamet Is still super hot even though he’s now dating. He also used cigarettes. Many of them can use drugs/smoke, so long as they don’t get criminal charges, or let that affecting their works.
Put it this way, the westerner stars might not have partner for the first 5 years of their careers, but after that, they just do whatever. Even the two twilight stars got dating, and broke up, and then continuously dating whoever afterwards, and they are both still working. There are many many examples of the western stars date and got married and their fame seem to be unaffected. Meanwhile, look at how many 40yo actors and actresses who don’t even have a partner! Any of them that got married are either shotgun style (ZLY) or short lived. Even as prestige as HG, he only got married recently, when he’s well over 35yo, and it was also a quick announcement, because if he has announced he was dating someone as soon as he entered the relationship, his relationship won’t last to marriage due to the amount of attacks netizens will hurl at his partner. Look at BJT and SY, was once most beloved rumour couple, but because they didn’t announce it officially, they are now being attacked and targeted. And if they have announced it properly? They will still be attacked and targeted (possibly worse!). Point is you can’t win with c-netizens. So they themselves are the cancer.
Also only dump ppl buy a product because someone endorse it. If she didn’t care for him, she wouldn’t say “teacher isn’t well, do not worry about my birthday, your health is more important”.
