You are very much misunderstanding. 1 - I have never said 7 was a bad rating? Did you even read? I even said I was fine with your rating, what I was not fine is you snickering at people rated this highly. I’m fine with you don’t like it, I’m not fine with you disrespecting others who rated this high.
2 - the many many plot holes WRTW has was so much for me to go on, but do you see I went there and go this 8.7 is baffling me. It’s not for me, but if you like it, ok. Same with you could just go: this is 7, and here is why.
3 - the fact that you don’t seem to get the example of WRTW, and hell bend on seeing my criticism of your comment as an attacking on the series is also showing how guard up you can be when it comes to your beloved series.
And same with you, a 12 year old who can’t seem to get out of his head’s wall.

Many are too focused on the wrong things, and love to clump up everything together in a class, rather than just assessing each case and judge it base on that.
This person criticised the handling of the hand (😜), which I had before as well, in listening to snow. However, that series, not just the hand, but the eyes, the lips, but most importantly, the acting of the FL was super lacking. A lot of time, this is the director’s choice or more the country’s choice of styles. Like kdrama would use super catchy tunes to elevate the feeling the audience ought to feel, cdrama loves to focus on the hands/lips/etc.
What make it different and stand out is how the actors/actresses act, the chemistry between the leads, and the storyline, executions all come together.

Coming from a person who do actually watch enough actual gay movies and series that I’m pretty sure I’m not whatever you want to imply me to be. I don’t watch the Asian BL as it doesn’t really address the real problem of the real society where the Asian community irl does frown upon it and giving them hard time. But I read enough manga on that subject so yea 😒 But that was not the point. If most of your watch list/reviews were modern, I would still say it’s not your genre. Just because it’s BL, you get a bit jumpy there.
We agree on something here, “the rating are subjective”. My example of the two dramas, WRTW and sweet home, are to highlight why we (all the people that rated) are different people. I’m actually ok with you rated it 7, that was not the problem. The problem was your sneering at the 8.8, while you should have again understand it’s subjective, you don’t personally think it’s highly rated, but everyone else thinks otherwise, be respectful to that. There are many series on this site that are totally skewed on rating, for whatever reasons (fanatics or because it’s low budget n limited therefore it need extra points). You said I’m hypocrite, I’m just highlight everything is hypocrite lol (even you 😜).

I don’t bother reading your review, just a Quick Look at your preference, and it mainly BL. Or more BL has much better chance of getting finished with high score, while heterosexual dramas tend to get super low scores and getting dropped by you. Anyway, I’ll start by apologies for jumping into conclusion, and here I thought I was being nice at accepting your dislikes of the series. But if you like me to go further into details, sure. You said the FL is the damsel in distress type - nice try. She might be in a bad situation, but she was never in distress. She doesn’t need rescuing. And what’s about the times when she actually save the ML? And the SML?
And your explanation of why you don’t like the series is pretty vague, pairing it the only thing you seem to pick up is the FL is the damsel in distress type, clearly show you didn’t pay that much attentions. Many directors in China love to show hands/what’s not, it’s how they stretch out the running time lol. And to say the song sounds like a hyena crying is rather disrespectful to Zhou Shen’s beautiful voice.
You said this show is 7 at best, that’s your opinions, just like how you rated sweet home 10, I wouldn’t, simply because the ML can’t act to save his life. Or you think WRTW a 9, while I found that show mediocre, with FL can’t actually do any fighting (act to show she can fight) 🙄 and both leads acting were astrocious. Also let ignore the many more plot holes that drama has, oh yes, a perfectly looking bed inside a cave in a middle of no where 🙄😒 My point is the majority loves this show, just like how you love WRTW while many didn’t. you can go check other cdrama that has high scores and it would have many more negative points, stupid ending, characters assassination, crappy chemistry.

They do have plot armour to protect them… until the story needs to end because we only allow 40eps 🙄😒

Not for Australia! I checked, prime’s list of cdrama is pissed poor! Like less than 20 n they are all pre-2020, I think there’s 1 or 2 from 2023 but no one knows who the leads r lol

For all my years of watching cdrama, none are this fast pace with every episode leaving you yearning for the next lol. You might find something similar say HK drama, but they are old (none of their new stuffs can match cdrama in term of budget). I would say the closest to fast pace yearning for the next would be the detective files series, but it’s not historical lol

Uhm no? 704 users have rated, out of 6685 watchers. That’s not 44.5%? thats 10% of watchers have rated. Most dramas on MDL at best have a 30% watchers rate the drama. With highest being 40%, or very close to it but not over
