It is a pacify lawl! In the book, Enma is drawn as a toddler, they change it in the drama as they want the comedic factor lol. Put it this way, enma was the first boss baby lol

Then the story isn’t the same at all? Here the FL must overcome her prejudice towards the ML (almost like pride n prejudice when they spend what 2/3 of the book fighting each other with the FL couldn’t stand him) then last 1/3 clear up the misunderstanding lol

I thought the reason why he went to the war in the first place was because he believes in fighting with the king, but they got betrayed? And that what caused him to not go back to court and pretend to die????? Anyway, fair enough if he was coming back to mourn the death but again, he was lousy to think it’s ok to sneak out to buy his favourite snack when he’s obviously standing out among the crowds 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ (it’s like for someone who is smart, this is just dumb….)

Was the stabbing scene necessary - yes. He trusted she always has her good reasons. And all along, he guess she somehow knows the future. So that’s why when she said because you killed me, he decided the only way for her to trust he would never kill her is to let her know she has control over him, and that he does not mind dying for her. Remember up until that point, she did not know he wouldn’t kill/hurt her, all she knows was he was the person who gave her the knife (telling her to die). It’s only after the stab, n see how he follows through with it with risking his life to rescue her that he finally gained her trust, and they can finally have an honest conversation. And she finally realised she might have gotten it all wrong in first life the reason why he gave her the knife

Uhm, the ML could be free of the court right on ep1 if he didn’t go back home, no? Like if he’s average size, he could try to hide and live in his house. But why pretend to be dead just to live in your own house? Especially when you are towering over everybody else?? Like why couldn’t he just go to a forest? Live in seclusion? If he doesn’t want to involve with the court?

Well said 👏👏👏👏 I think part of the reason why old dramas/movies have lower rating is because it’s more true to what it worths. Whereas all the new one, are battling against haters and antis, so the score is inflated if popular, as ppl can not rate them say a 9 or an 8, if they really really love it as they know antis will swoop in and lower it. Sure there are a group of people who doesn’t care, and put the rating to what they feel and attach with it a review. But the majority just want to leave a score. I blame all these antis and haters for how we can’t give the right score, look at douban lol, it’s like the opposite of here, where the drama’s series tends to be under it’s true value than over.
