The problem is at the end of ALP, the drama, we saw ML as a boy said: mommy, you have kneeled here 500yrs already. So yes, I expected him as a boy lawl. And also in xianxia, the whole growing up thing is never equate to the number of years have passed lol.

I haven’t rated nor bad mouth anyone, but to say the overreaction of name change is just too much - isn’t really fair here. I can’t speak for others, but I used to know the characters, understand what’s going on, and the first episode pulled a rug under my feet? Suddenly went from the world I kinda know (because it’s been a few years) to one I’m completely not sure of (as my memory sometimes trigger and now I’m doubting myself). It’s a mess as it messes with my viewing experience (example: ML in ALP was a boy after 500yrs of BJ’s death, whereas here ML is a full grown man 100yrs after BJ’s death. ALP - ML was not a cry baby with sad traumatic childhood because his parents abandoned him to save the realm, but here ML is????)

If you are a gamer, you should be able to detect FPS change easily lol. I spotted it within 3eps lol.

Do we have trials in ALP to cover their true power? The only thing I remember was ShangGu’s lightning trial, there was nothing else. No stupid mortal life trial lol. Problem with me starting this series is it felt wrong lol. Timeline was wrong, ML’s character set up was wrong: because we were shown during that 500yrs, he can be pissed at ppl for calling him orphan (very much his character), but he shouldn’t be sad because his parents were saving whatever lol, like an ordinary kid lol (because he was raised treating his mother like not his mother). Anyway, I’ll wait but keep an eye out, because this feel slightly F up in my head lol.
