I think I prefer when there's no 'final boss' pulling all the strings in the case-of-the-week format... while…
I so agree with this. My husband calls it the "Red John Syndrome" after the US tv show, The Mentalist. This issue has lessened my enjoyment or outright ruined some otherwise solid shows because the plot becomes very convoluted.

Review My Mister
Trust me, I have tried episodes 4, 5, 6, 7. I don't remember when I stopped but I have tried my best. I even watched…
Oh, I thought you'd just watched 3 episodes and I was kind of iffy about it at that point. Sounds like this one definitely doesn't work for you ;) I get it. There are many a popular drama that I haven't been able to get into or dropped like Goblin.

Review My Mister
This drama probably isn't your cup of tea. I ended up really liking it, but it really didn't get what I would call super, addictive good until after episode 4. I remember being a little "meh" about it at episode 3. Doesn't sound like you will jump back in but thought I would throw it out there that it takes another episode or so to really get going. I will say, I did very little skipping but the brother stuff didn't do much for me either and some of that I did skip later in the drama.

Finally, someone who agrees with me on Dr. Stranger. Ha! I also agree with the other two. I had trouble with the script on Cunning Single Lady because the couple just needed some communication. I think both characters in Siege in Fog drove me nuts...oh, that drama put me through it!

New Journey to the West is definitely my favourite (especially seasons 2-4).No other k-show ever made me laugh…
I always thought SuJu and Shinee were great at variety. I'll have to check out BTOB.

Unless Abnormal Summit has fun guests, I can't really appreciate it much. I am not a big fan of the generalizations about the countries even if from their own countrymen. Korea does great variety but that one is kind of meh.

My favorite is Knowing Brothers but in the past I've enjoyed Running Man, Weekly Idol, The Return of Superman when the triplets were featured. Thanks for the article. The Great Escape is one I'm interested in checking out.

Title When the Weather Is Fine Spoiler
I'm starting to think the aunt killed Hae Won's dad to save her sister and the sister took the blame. That's why…
That is a possibility. The sister would take responsibility because she would in theory get a shorter sentence for being an abused wife.

is it worth it?? Specifically, I don't like "slow" dramas like Just Between Lovers or One Spring Night. I prefer…
I didn't but some struggled with the first two episodes and the pace, but those episodes set the foundation of all the characters. If you are okay with a slice of life gentle story, it is really good. However, it might not be your cup of tea. At the halfway point, I don't even notice the hour going by when watching.

That synopsis --
So it wasn't just me. I have no idea what the show is about. lol

I was just coming to this site from Viki to get insight into this drama so perfect timing. I think I will give it a go as it looks light and fun which is what I am in the mood for. Oh and the "no, not the actress, bless her heart" line is hilarious.

I saw some comments about the drama on a different site this past weekend and some were triggered about some age situation but I'm just over all that stuff. It is about a dude who is a cat so I'm just not in a mood to take it too seriously. Thanks for the early review.

the thing i love most about this drama how even though it's a melodrama the characters don't have to cry in every…
I agree. It's kind of a slice of life melo instead of over the top or makjang melo. I cannot handle all the crying in those shows.

The FL is 49yrs old....! Holy shit...ML is 37...
Since I started watching k-dramas, I 've noticed a lot of noona romances. I think in k-drama it financially works to have a very popular and often older actress with a new up and coming or already popular young actor. Encounter is just one that comes to mind.

Actually this show gives me the same feels I used to have when I used to watch Castle... Is there anyone else…
I loved Castle but was on the border with this drama. Can I ask, how much courtroom stuff is there? I have a bit of trouble suspending reality for ridiculous courtroom situations.

Title Two Weeks Spoiler
I just heard that they did this remake so I haven't watched this at all. However, the Korean version is excellent…
Not much. The focus is on the father/daughter relationship. We do see in flashbacks the romance of how the couple got together and what happened to their relationship.

This is what annoyed me about Yoon Eun Hye's character in Coffee Prince lol. Could not stomach that drama because…
I actually thought the female character in W saved the drama through the first half. The gal's acting didn't bother me that much. The drama did kind of come to a whimper but that's on the writer.

My two big problems with Coffee Prince, which so many people love, is that the secondary couple were not compelling for me at all. Also, there was no reason whatsoever at a certain point for her not to just say, "Idiot, I'm not a dude". I know people love the drama but besides the chemistry between the leads and the cute guys at the coffee shop, I don't get it.

"What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim to me is unwatchable (dropped). If you’re ok with sexist shows like Madmen,…
I actually liked What's Wrong With Secretary Kim. I guess I took his overbearing personality with a grain of salt, but it absolutely drove me nuts she still worked with him at the end of the drama.

Title Forest
I am just guessing, but I think his career took a bit of a hit when he spoke out about not being happy with the…
The movie is on Viki so I gave it a go and it basically just skimmed the story with very little focus on the side characters. There's no way to do that much story in a 2 hour movie. I was okay with Man to Man but I just thought they should have left out the bad guy stuff and left it to the body guard and the actor he was protecting....it was a great bromance. I'm actually thinking it might take a few dramas to get his groove back but maybe he'll luck out with a winner.
