Some of it too comes from the 1st couple of episodes I imagine. It's a show that doesn't really explain itself, especially at the beginning, and when you're first thrown in to ML/FL dynamic and the Mermaid story I could definitely see people being initially put off since it has a different flow than is currently used in today's dramas. But one thing that I'm personally LOVING about this show is just how internally CONSISTENT the characters are, even in their "inconsistencies". It makes them feel more real to me.

Any time you've ever listened to someone in real-life tell a story about how so and so did this or that and they're DONE with them, only for them to pop back up months later connected and talking again... and then being frustrated with them for not acting like you WISH they would.... THAT'S the feeling of this show.

So even I was wrong 😅 ep 34 and they STILL aren't "together", in fact ep 31 was basically MAXIMUM angst instead...

Finally fully caught up through episode 34... Only 6 episodes left 😬🙈 - The tension is so high right now.

I get it but he's VERY consistent in his character qualities - Like he STRUGGLES with his convictions I have such a love/hate relationship with BOTH the mains 😔

No one knows yet and no, he's not "stereotypically" strong - his OP power is his magic brush he uses to paint things to life 😅

The fact it currently has less than 100 watchers on here is criminal

I really think we are still missing SOME context about his past because you're right 😅 He constantly thinks the worst of her to himself but isn't afraid to defend her against other people (usually). He's got that guy whispering in his ear every so often though hinting at his past that makes me want to know more about HIM than "just" Taotie's story 😮‍💨.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion though. Personally, I have seen MUCH worse and as such am enjoying it.

The episodes are so short and compact but they make good use of every second in my opinion. I had to actually slow down some of 4 and 5 because I wanted to actually TAKE IN what was going on instead of being slapped by it 🤣😅.

I've gotten through 2 eps so far and yeah... I'm blown away

I'm so glad they ACTUALLY gave this one to us I was afraid they weren't going since it's not the usual romance story they always feed us 😅

🤣 See.... Told you... This one is TAME... And that one ends with her getting out, leaving the ML for 2ML, but getting brain damage and slowly losing her memories until she can't remember anyone anymore until EXCEPT ML and she goes BACK to him and "they live happily ever after" as he takes care of her forever like a living doll essentially

This one is ALSO about a Mute Wife 🤣 And well.... it's messed up... I personally loved it because it was AWFUL and I couldn't predict what would happen next 😅.

I honestly think you misunderstood my comment. I was saying this was bland in comparison to what they were upgrading it from. Circle of Love is another mini drama so in that aspect you being shocked by this show is proving my point. This is an "upgraded" micro-drama plot, like the ones you see that are ~2 minutes long per episode and are shot vertical. So yes, when I say that this is "bland" in comparison to some of the ones of those I've seen, yes 😅. I literally could have written much of this plot as a synopsis without having watched it just from guessing and doing a "this will happen" or "this will happen" game.

Since no one else answered this I'll answer it if you still want the answers (or at least an interpretation of them)

1. Sure why not both but because "China"... "officially" it didn't happen and is a coma dream - the fact that the coma portion is essentially accounted for inside her time limit of going back to the past? "Officially" doesn't matter 🤣

2. Depends on which version YOU want to see.... do you want everything to have ACTUALLY have happened? Then it did and they were real.

3. Ending scene was just a "fun" scene added in to further distance the show and "PROVE" that this did not "actually" happen in real life.... don't try to die and accidentally go into a coma trying to go into the past - its all fake and just a show

🤣 I refuse to pay the extra for that extra episode but I tell you I have NEVER been so close to shelling it out as I was watching 25 and 26 today 😅🤣 I swear I barely BREATHED

Okay so people have started complaining "seen one Republican drama you've seen them all" .... THIS was the equivalent for anyone who has watched the toxic micro dramas. They took the bingo sheet... copied it down and then toned everything down for it to be semi-acceptable but still semi-blood boiling for new to genre mini watchers. I was literally laughing at how generic and bland it was.

🤣 I just finished this myself. Been watching other stuff so binged the last 6 eps at once. Let me tell you, you watched this show cursing at it, I watched thus laughing my A** off because it was BY THE NUMBERS it was so predictable 🤣 - Like I couldn't get mad because every time there was a "twist" I was like "and here comes..." 🤣
