🤣 I watched this a WHILE ago but saw someone comment about how fluffy and funny the show was and came back and saw it being listed as a comedy and a fluffy healing drama.... I honestly think you're right in your assessment. And this is coming from someone who DID love this show and rated it a 9/10. Because I remember the show BECAUSE I remember it being an angsty melodrama with the slowest burn of slow burn romance 😅 Because she woke up one day thinking she's still in her teens. That's a LOT of baggage to unpack.

So yes, definitely like your comment for showing a bit of "truth" about the show 👍

I haven't watched more than through ep 4 but in that episode he's pretty heart breaking with his acting and his tears don't look fake. 1st 3 episodes though... I would agree with the wooden and semi expressionless assessment.

I'll freely admit I was on the fence about this one in 1st 3 episodes but then I'm watching ep 4 and... 🤯

These episodes have ML basically handing FL off to 2ML and telling him all her favorite things and giving him his blessing to be with her. He REALLY believes that she is in love with 2ML and since there are multiple factors stopping HIM from being with her in the future (don't want to spoil those storylines) he doesn't see any hope of being with her.

Meanwhile SHE doesn't know who she loves, she just knows that he is her family (literally lumping him in with the painted maids in this dialog) and doesn't want him to leave her when she finds out he's preparing to go somewhere.

Since you're not watching right now I'll spoilers a little (especially since watched 21/22 now) to give an idea why I think that

🤣 Cho Na already responded with the "official" synopsis but to answer your question... Based on the first 12 episodes, YES, it is very much the same old recycled story. The differences they've added to this one (and the fact it was only 1/2 the plot so "maybe" they'll throw in a unique twist) are the only reason I wrote 3/10 for plot 😅

I know you're probably looking for a straight yes or no answer 😅 but this show is definitely a matter of taste, it's not going to appeal to every one, especially with the fact it was shelved for a while and uses "older" cgi etc. I will say the trailers do a a pretty good job capturing the different tones of the show though without being misleading so I'd suggest checking them out to see if you like the look/tone.

Do they? I've only seen a couple episodes so far but I thought the credits looked like they were "generic" character portraits for once and was actually excited that they had done an opening showing the characters and NOT spoiling the story 🤣

I could be wrong but I honestly don't see that happening. This show is screaming long drawn out slow-burn to me which would have me expecting something to happen around ep 32 maybe

At this point a happy ending is a suprise twist for a show 😅

1st episode watched..... I personally loved the animated backstory and then the cat demon intro scene. Can't quite get a handle on MLs so will probably need more time to better form an opinion on them.

Now fully caught up and I'm so hooked. They keep dripping in little story bits and pieces, filling in the gaps and making you question everything you THINK you know about a character.

🤣 IKR.... I have ABSOLUTELY seen worse wigs from dramas filmed more recently than this. 😅 Take Miles Wei one from Lady Revenger for example.... now THAT one was a crime.
