I don't give a crap if they made it for a Thai audience. I would think in the end they want to make money on anything they produce. Fewer viewers means less money. There's plenty for me to watch without watching this, but it's not profitable for them.

PS I just checked YouTube for the viewer numbers on the first episode of The D Dorm. They always show it in four parts on YouTube. Here are the statistics;

Part 1 -- 274k
Part 2 -- 108k
Part 3 -- 78k
Part 4 -- 107k

That's just a tiny bit lower than 71 million don't you think? And the viewers that can see it for free aren't even interested after part one. I just hope this series didn't cost Aof much money.

Now let's compare that to Mr Fanboy. I picked that one because I wanted a show that had not been online for too long. Episode 1 is also available for free on on YouTube.

So which one do you think got more viewer interest? Do numbers mean nothing to you?

Yes I do. The Thailand government is very interested in promoting BL internationally. And the population of Thailand is just North of 71 million people. There's not a chance that even 10% of them are watching The D Dorm. I'm not Thai but I have Thai friends that live there and as popular as NuNew is none of them had even heard of that him before I brought his existence to their attention. I would say The D Dorm is many many steps below that.

Seems like a really dumb thing to do though. It will have a very limited audience if it's only going to appeal to people from Thailand.

I'm watching Your Third because I really like Max and Nat but it is total cringe and really not entertaining. Cheesy and cringey by definition means not entertaining. 🤷🏼‍♀️

So far Your Third kind of sucks but it but it doesn't suck anywhere near as bad as Sutiny. I couldn't even make it through 10 minutes of that and Nat's absolutely cringe Bozo the Clown hair.

Why would I adjust my taste? I either like it or I don't. Slapstick comedy isn't my thing and DMD is putting too much of it in some of the other dramas it's producing. I thought DMD wanted to appeal to an international audience and that's not the way to do it.

Pretty sure that everybody watches entertainment to get their mind off of things for a while. It just depends on what you want to watch while you're doing that.

Comedy that doesn't rely on being a four-year-old to make it funny. So Jerry Lewis no, Bewitched yes, even Doris Day and Rock Hudson old romantic comedies. I can't think of a Thai comedy that doesn't involve slapstick. Even in Cutie Pie Poppy's role was very much slapstick but tolerable because it wasn't a main part of the plot. The comedy in Your Third makes me wonder why anyone would ever want to get involved with an adult male (Sarm) who acts like a 3 year old and seems to have some mental health issues in addition.

I never was a Jerry Lewis fan either, and Thai comedy is even more juvenile. I do like sophisticated comedy however.

Duang With You had college age men acting like grammar school boys when they have a crush. It had potential but ruined it with that element which even persisted in the later episodes. I am looking forward to several of the DMD BL's that have more mature and serious plots.

I only watch the DMD BLs. I skipped Zomvivor because I'm not a zombie girl, and Khemjira even though it was a BL because I'm not into all that mysticism stuff. I did watch part of the very last episode to see if there was chemistry between Keng and Namping. I'll watch Hug E-Lhee whether it has BL elements or not just to hear NuNew sing.

I'm following this just to see if I might want to watch it someday, but probably not. I'm not much into slapstick comedy. Having trouble with Your Third as it is. Same for Duang With You.

Yes he did. He portrayed two really unlikable characters well.

I thought all that stuff with Intanont (Rin) was boring. And I don't see any real romantic buildup between Wan and Third.

Only other thing I ever saw James in was Bed Friend. He was unlikable there too. 🤷🏼‍♀️

That's different than what they usually do. In the cases where they do show all the episodes they chop them up so much that you can't even tell what's going on. A subscription to IQIYI is around $70 a year. If you watch Asian dramas it's really worth it.

Only the first episode will be on the Mandee channel. In fact you can watch it on IQIYI for free as well. But after the first episode you will need to get a subscription to IQIYI in order to watch the rest of them.

I don't even have a Twitter account but they're usually pretty on top of things, I bet there's an announcement somewhere.
