Oh, the person over at soompi who has been generously providing subs and translated chapter content has put out a few spoilers for what's supposed to come in the next few episodes if they follow the manga storyline well...

all I can say is, if they keep it all, in the next few weeks I'm going to be melting into a puddle like butter melting in a frying pan. ....so cUteeeeee........

Saturday cannot come soon enough... this has been truly a struggle.

If you've watched a movie or a previous drama where Yoo Yeon Seok had a kiss scene, you already know what to expect. I wouldn't be surprised to learn this guy is a player. You don't get good at kissing like that without a bit of practice. ;)

The lamb crying throughout this was freaking annoying. To me, it's worse than a laugh track. I don't need the writers and production to tell me when there's a joke. If it's funny, it can stand on it's own... ...if you have to add sound affects, you're trying too hard... It shouldn't need it.

This is one of my all-time favorite trilogies, and I'm old enough to see quite a few. This was beyond well made.

I was extremely sad this week to learn that I missed the fact that Funimation had bought the rights to show this in the USA and that they aired the 1st and 2nd movies already in August & September respectively and the final movie was airing this week for only 3 days. I live inland between San Diego and Los Angeles counties and the closest places to watch it on the big screen would be a two hour drive and premium ticket prices. I regret the fact that I have never had an opportunity to see it on the big screen. It's one of those kinds of movies where a theater environment would have been best. ...I still love it though...

Ep. 7: so good. So meaningful and in a 'normal' way that makes it even so much better.

You have to admit that Arthit makes a formidable 'wife' because he is always demanding faithfulness, loyalty, and love. But it just makes it so much sweeter when he's wooed on so many different levels by Kongpope, who has no problem meeting Arthit's demands. ;)

Why are people giving final reviews before this show is even over? No one cares about MDL's rules, so that means the "true" ratings of most of these dramas/movies is skewed. It's regretful.

The question is; are they going out in Real life?
Singto actually will play one the princes in the U-Prince series. This is how great they are as actors. You'd think they actually swing this way, but as Krist said about Singto, Singto "likes pretty girls". ;)

Can someone tell me if this drama is realistic and engaging? Or is it pure fanservice? I'm asking because…
So far it's 100% realistic.

The consolidation of scenes, characters, and information in the movie version was interesting. Not horrible, but definitely not 100% true to the original story. Zhen Shao Xiang personality be consolidated into a combo of him and Cao Guang was kind of abrupt for me. Or KO being the manager of the internet cafe?? Wasn't expecting that.

This WeiWei is more outgoing than she's supposed to be. That's the aspect of her character that's really important in her connection with Xiao Nai. She's pure, innocent, shy, humble, and doesn't like to draw attention to herself. In this version, she's really not that way at all. She's much more extrovert and dominant, no where near passive. If you like her better this way, it's simply personal preference, but it's not the true character of her as written in the novel. And just as this Wei Wei is more extroverted, & not so shy, this Xiao Nai is a bit more emo and less hard-to-read, badass, cutthroat who was always 2 steps ahead of everyone else.

...and bottom line, what I really want to say, the BROMANCE and the relationship between his "brothers" and Wei Wei was really, really, REALLY, really lacking for me int this movie version. For me, that was as important if not MORE important than the romance between Xiao Nai and Wei Wei. I loved the whole "family" feel and it just enhanced their romance all the more. In this version, I just felt wanting; I felt lacking; I was waiting for their to be more of a closer feel with Wei Wei and them but, more than half way through they barely had anything to say to each other. It was sad.

I had to drop this drama after 24 episodes because it was too juvenile. That's a fact not a criticism because…
..I was only kidding you.. Not trying to embarrass you at all. =) ...but what you said I've thought the same even more so... China is a Communist country that utilizes capitalism in forms and fashion. It's not pure by even its own standards. You could possibly even argue that there is an even bigger "class" difference in China among people than other Asian countries, or capitalist countries in general.

As to your your point about pay, take the Esports game League of Legends. The American company was bought out by China's Tencent, then in the last two years, the big teams have paid millions of yuan to hire away South Korean pro-player talent to their region. The success of these transfers have actually been minimal. It has become a joke in South Korea that you go to China, not to win Worlds or be successful but to make "WADS OF YUAN" that you get at a 165X exchange rate. ;) So, it's not just the actors/actresses... It seems China wants to "buy" what they think is the best... but if they were true to their Communist roots they would put time, money, and effort to increase and expand the talent in their own country. That's the part I find sad.

"Yen" is Japanese money, so this being a Chinese production, it would have been a nice wad of "yuan" instead, and since the current exchange rate is 165.50 won to 1 yuan, it's 165x the wad as well. ;)

I've just started this and Zhen Hao and Yi An are by far the best of the couples to suit my taste. Grandma favoring them and pushing them to spend time. Zhen Wei and Yi Xin are kind of an awkward older bro, younger sis pairing. Not feeling this one at all. Lastly, Zhen Cai and You Zhen are the cliche tw-drama standard. So, I guess you get a "couple type" to pick from in this drama.
