For those wanting eng subs for series produced by GMM One, the best is to go to their international YouTube channel…
Yep. This is sometimes the case. When that happens we have no choice but wait for the fanmade subs and thank them and bless them for their time and their care for us fans who don't have the ability to do what they do. ;)
For those wanting eng subs for series produced by GMM One, the best is to go to their international YouTube channel…
It's fine with me if you wanna copy+paste my comment or you can just write your own comment similar to this and post it. I comment about GMMTV where I think it'll help, but there are still many people who don't have the patience to wait. ;)
I know the Chinese love to do it, but I really hate cliffhanger endings. Its almost as bad as the lets just kill…
It's because China is a Communist country and the government controls all messaging and story arcs that the media and entertainment industry convey to the public that isn't contrary to their political beliefs or, from their perspective, interfering with the government control by the Communist Party.
Because of this fact, these dramas have to be completely PRE-produced and handed to the censorship board prior to airing. There are many a completed drama that got shelved by the censors for one reason or another that have never seen the light of day. You'll wait and wait, and they'll postpone the release, and eventually people will forget. That means, even when the drama is completed, they may require to edit or what-not and the process can take a month, months, or years. The actors have to make a living, so they are constantly going into other shows to make a salary. They don't have time to wait around for everything to get resolved...and because this process is not set-in-stone and there is NO WAY to PREDICT how long the process will be, no actor can fully commit to anything until they are CERTAIN the direction it will go. It's pretty much up in the air. ...if they are a popular actor/actress the already booked schedule is more than likely, and that's just how the process falls. It's not anyone's fault in particular... they live in a country that tries to control their mouths and minds, it's the price they pay to live in that kind of society.
For those wanting eng subs for series produced by GMM One, the best is to go to their international YouTube channel GMMTV. You'll get the raw version from there first...and then GMMTV actually provides the English subtitles to their own stuff...you just have to wait a few weeks after the original release. Of course, you can go to the regular streaming sites if they found someone who subbed them faster, but it's probably the nicer thing to do to watch from GMMTV to support the people who actually produce these shows for you in the first place. A weeks wait isn't much to ask for correctly subbed dramas commercial free.... of course, except for **product placement** lol...
Movie was shown in Japan in June, 2017, Subtitles do not come out until the DVD is released to the public to which are usually torrented uploaded and those links are what various Japanese subbers use to sync their subtitles. Generally speaking, especially if it's a popular movie, the process to release out subs to sites is usually about 6 months. Based on this, do not expect subs until December, 2017... for Japanese movies please add 6 months to the airdate and consider that your true release date as such.
My goodness!!! When will I be able to finish this. Subbing stopped at episode 10 grrrrrrr. Hey wait @jwynton shared…
Thank you so much for doing the subs on this. I have your wordpress blog bookmarked and will continue to watch Season 3 from you site. I appreciate all you have done for this. This series is very good and your subs are great!!!
I don't think this has gotten subbed. To my knowledge, Memory lost 1 was completely subbed.
Thank you so much for doing this subbing. I hope you're able to also sub Season 3. Leaving this partially subbed is a travesty because it is a really good show.
People really took this drama too seriously. LMFAO.. and critiqued it like is was a SBS, KBS, or MBC, or even…
Yeah... w/e... very few people using common sense expect the same kind of quality from a KBS/MBC/SBS 16 episode drama as compared to a 16 episode Naver TV Cast. People willingly overlook the "...cliche and lack of a good story line..." because of the fact that it has less money and time to convey its point.
Of course, I'm not here telling anyone how they should rate the drama, nor should you. You just repeated everything everyone else is saying. That's fine. MDLers also have a right to rate it another way contrary to your point. What aspects you think need to be taken into consideration to warrant being "objective" may be different for others. Even professional American critics writing reviews denote the difference in their reviews from a multi-million dollar, highly promoted film from Universal or Warner Bros. versus a 100K independent "indie" film produced by a bunch of no names with very little promotion. Any of those critics that acts as if they should expect the same quality staff, CGI, and supporting cast and review an "indie" film with that broad brush would have their reviews called haughty, overly-critical pretension looking down their noses at the poor and unconnected. The idea that a multimillion dollar film by a company like Universal, who has permanent writers on staff, and can afford to say have 50 staff, as opposed to the "indie" with one writer who came up with one idea, and 100K that can only pay the salary of 2 staff should compete equally in a review is patently absurd. That's why people know when they're going to a film whether it's an "indie" or "blockbuster", it's for a reason.
Regardless of that fact, people will still like what they like and dislike what they dislike. But for those coming to read reviews and comments to "DECIDE" whether or not to watch a show, these "objective factors" might be of value to some of them. Some who might read the "negative" pompous review, might say, "hey, they're not taking this into account.." maybe it's not as bad as all that... I really do like those short little Naver episodes even when others thought they were stupid. Not too many people know what FNC Ad Culture is and WHY it got put on NETFLIX.... There's no harm in telling people, "HEY! This is an INDIE FILM not a BLOCKBUSTER...set your expectations at the door."
Some people only see value in high-priced, well connected films, others like supporting content creators who work outside-the-box. To each his own.. .but the people have a right to know the background...it's not me trying to dictate how others write reviews and control the format, it's me trying to give everyone as much information as possible so they can make a proper decision for themselves as to whether this drama is worth watching or not.
People really took this drama too seriously. LMFAO.. and critiqued it like is was a SBS, KBS, or MBC, or even a JTBC produced drama. PLEASE, NO! BWHAHAHA...
People coming here to watch this drama should take note of some facts before deciding to watch this, and go into with the right mindset:
1. This drama is produced by FNC Cultural Ad. Yes, FNC that is the label for K-Pop artists. It's meant to promote their talent and these are very much like those Naver webdramas. However, you have to compliment FNC because this was frankly a pretty stout production of cast, location, etc. for what it's worth.
2. This was originally supposed to be used for a dual country promotional entertainment exchange [think EXO] with a Chinese platform. Because of THAAD, they stopped Korean promotions altogether, and FNC was left holding the bag for a fully completed webdrama and no web platform to air it. Thankfully, Netflix agreed, at a reduce price, to air this drama or it would never have seen the light of day.
3. Jong Hyun has issues with his acting, and FNC SPECIFICALLY picked Seung Yeon to play the lead role and the story is intended to be a TONGUE AND CHEEK tribute to JH & SY's moments on WGM and to garner that fanbase, especially internationally to watch. FNC must also note that SY is able to make JH actually look like a decent actor, which set him up to be picked up for a lead role opposite Yoo Bi in a purely romance drama, Our First Romance. Up until this drama, JH either in dramas, movies, or M/Vs has never publicly had a on-screen kiss. The setup was for him to move past his youthful years into playing more grownup roles. It's no coincidence they picked SY to play this role since these two have had natural chemistry from the beginning, and it's obvious that never went away after a year being off of WGM.
4. This isn't meant to be a serious Sageuk nor is it meant to be a HIGH QUALITY rom-com with all the stops. Even if it's 30 minutes per episode, much of it is flashbacks/repeats to where the episodes amount to 10-15 minutes per of real story. IT'S A WEBTOON, for pete's sake. Think 10 minute Naver episodes and be happy you're getting 30 minutes even if it's filler. LOL. THIS IS MEANT TO BE 100% SATIRICAL IN NATURE. Yes, it's mocking the WGM relationship and everything surrounding it, and if you NEVER saw them on WGM you won't get all the INSIDE JOKES that make this actually pretty entertaining for what it is.
So, please, don't go in here with a different mindset thinking it's supposed to be on par with 3/4ths of the rom-coms you've watched from SBS, KBS, or MBC... that's what will make you extremely disappointed. If you're not in to this type of webtoon format.... DON'T BOTHER. lol..
Please watch more than Hwarang before you go around telling people that the lead actress cannot act and has no capability to play this kind of role. Might I suggest watching the movie Another Way that was filmed in early 2015, and aired in the Busan International Film Festival, winning an award? This is her acting PRE-Hwarang that tells another story of her acting abilities. I'm no fan of her acting in Hwarang but even so, I'm not a fan of hardly ANY of the acting in the drama.
It might help you to read from a periodical that has PROFESSIONAL critics that review international films for the industry itself and what they said about Seo Ye Ji's acting:
P.S. If you don't want spoilers for the movie to click on the link because it's filled with them:
The Korean folk singer in this movie is the bomb. Her voice literally ripped my heart and soul to shreds. Words cannot describe, even if I watched this without translations.
You have to be pretty dang close dude/friend to fiercely smack your female co-actor's ass half the time and grab it the other half of the time.
Just saying...anyone thinking these two didn't have some obvious sizzling chemistry in WGM need only watch JH's acting pre-MOLS vs MOLS, and then finally getting to confirm it with Yoo Bi towards the end of this year PLUS read JH's interviews about **almost** kissing an actress in his M/Vs & not ever having an on-screen kiss to what took place in this series. JH's acting improved quite a bit in this series, it must be nice working with someone you're that comfortable with after all.
People are blaming netizens and gossip scandal about this matter. Also acting as if T.O.P., just for his celebrity, didn't have a normal family, with parents, to guide and direct him, and that he should have some different system for persecution than the rest of the South Korean citizenry. Or even that this isn't a matter to discuss because it's somehow gossip.
1. South Korea has it's own laws about this drug, whether you agree with it or not, that are much stricter than most other countries. That's a decision made by lawmakers who are put in place by Koreans, and have been on the books for decades. This is the decision that the Korean society has chosen on this matter. I watch Korean esports guys who have a major issue when in a gaming house where they have to be with 3 other American players who may legally smoke pot, but if these Koreans are discovered to participate, upon renewal of their visas, when returning home, if there's any suspicions on them they can be immediately forced to provide hair samples. No law enforcement, even in a state that restricts pot use, would be allowed such access without having actually CAUGHT them in the act or with possession. This is what most don't get. South Korea is strict about this law, and they don't care if you smoked in their country or outside their country, if you did the drug and they can test your hair that holds the evidence of it for a month, you will be found guilty, and you will receive jail time. It doesn't matter if you are rich or poor, agree with the laws, think pot is safe, or your status. Everyone is equal treated the same.
2. The difference between T.O.P. and GD is that the manner in which he was caught he had come up with an excuse that he didn't know what it was. Whether true or not, there's honestly no way they could prove without a doubt that his statement was wrong. T.O.P. was with another person who got caught doing the drug or with the drug on a separate occasion and gave up T.O.P. and possibly others as people she got the drug from, did the drug with, etc. There's no out here for T.O.P., no excuses, he tested positive and it's over. He is removed from his police duty officially yesterday and that will only happen if he's going to be going to court. Unless he can have some defense, he will definitely get jail time. That means jailtime, plus having to do his 18 month conscription over, and essentially, with how bad South Koreans take drug abuse and their memories, think like Park Bom, last a long time plus GD's case, his career is most likely going to be over for a long time because of this. He won't be able to perform, etc. at all. The citizenry won't allow it.
3. Because this has a huge effect on his career, this is no diferent than discussing Kim Woo Bin's cancer, as a topic that will affect their ablity to perform. T.O.P. will not be acting OR singing on a stage or in public for a long time to come. This is a fact. There's no way around the matter.
4. There is a reason why South Korea has the highest suicide rate among all the developed countries of the world. The pressure of societies views about your person and the push to be the best, the prettiest, the most successful individula, coupled with an ongoing promotion of nepotism, in addition to South Korea being a paleo-society with a long history that includes similar aspects seen in all Asian cultures that emphasis "face" and "family pride", suicide is STILL an option considered to deal with life's difficulties versus going to see a therapist, etc. As T.O.P., gets released from his police duty, he sees what has happened to other celebrities with even lesser "drug scandals" and what has happened to their careers, and most likely realizes just how irreparable damaged his career will be, that he likely is thinking "what can I do with my life now, and how do I go out in public"??? He is in intensive care for a drug overdose. This is honestly the worst, most horrible news for his family, BigBang, and T.O.P. himself.
We should PRAY for him and his family strongly. This is a dark time. We should discuss, yes even disagree with, South Korea's drug laws. Fair enough. But regardless of our disagreement on the matter, this is the law in South Korea and drug abuse is strictly enforced. Many an artist, actor/singer, has gone to jail over it and some have committed suicide as well..maybe that's not acknowledged as much "internationally" because those folks aren't as well known outside the country as T.O.P. but this isn't a "new" situation, nor is he being treated worse than any other citizen in South Korea would be over this matter. But this man will definitely not be in the public eye as an entertainer for a very long, long time, thus, forget him showing up in any drama anytime soon. MY HEART BLEEDS FOR HIM AND HIS FAMILY BECAUSE THIS IS DEVASTING NEWS ALL AROUND. I hope he can find some peace and solice among his friends and family to successfully get through this horrible trial and dark times for his life.
it's because yoo seung ho already completed his military service i keep forgetting he's only 23 damn…
Xiumen is 90-Line; L is 92-Line; & YSH is 93-Line; it's just that YSH has had a more productive acting life than most adult actors before he even reached the age of 18. lol...I still remember absolutely adoring him as the Jade Emperor in Arang & the Magistrate, which was one of the first K-Dramas that got me hooked and obsessed, especially with any type of historical genre.
Because of this fact, these dramas have to be completely PRE-produced and handed to the censorship board prior to airing.
