OH IT WILL AIR. Just right after are great grandkids are at our funerals. Sure it will
Well, instead of saying "..in spring..", KBS2 at least has stated the month of June, 2018. Hopefully, THIS TIME, it will actually happen. Anything that is said to be aired in China requires the fans to have a patient heart. If you like C-Dramas, you already understand this aspect.
Lee Joon Hyuk is also acting in a new tvN drama called "A Poem a Day" & he was interviewed to say that "A Poem a Day" will now air at the same times as "The Miracle We Met", which airs after "Radio Romance" on KBS2, before "Are You Human Too? By his indications it will air. The statements seem to say around June, 2018, but I'm not holding my breath. It WILL air at some point, I'm sure. KBS spent way to much money to scrap it completely. For what I've read, this was pre-produced to air simultaneously in China, much like DoTS, and they are waiting for release approval on this from the Chinese censors. I'm afraid that the censor board has been on a happy cancel trip lately, going after "counterculture", "hiphop", & "western influence" like drunken sailors. They're not allowing anymore "superstitious" dramas including "timeslip" and so God knows what their problem is with a "robot" but they obviously have found one... Who knows how long they'll take to stamp their approval to release it for an air date. In the meantime, KBS is holding off, most likely, because they see the enthusiasm for it and want to get the most play for all the investment they put into it. If they have to wait and air other dramas, they seem more than happen to do it.
I actually agree with your #1 except for the example. When this drama came out this was one of the biggest heavy criticisms but I often argued that you have had to have read the book to understand that the person was supposed to act that way because they were inexperienced. That scene is written in the book exactly that way. She's always been shy etc and for her to not be embarrassed and confused would have gone against the character as it was written.
So, again, in general, I truly dislike a costar who doesn't respond back, when they're supposed to be into it based on the story, especially with the hands down at the side. Who does that? Isn't it naturally to at least hold on to the other person's arm or side to keep you balance? lol. I just don't think the drama chosen was the right one. If you want to know how that scene was written, here is the link to the English translation:
After reading some of the more recent comments I wanted to note something for anyone coming here trying to decide whether to watch this or not. If you're concerned with all the negative comments about the female lead, don't be. The only way you need to be prepared for this show is in two ways: 1. you should have at least a glossary understanding of the professional relationship between Lee Jong Hyun & Gong Seung Yeon and that neither of the characters they are portraying in anyway resembles them as a "professional" couple or individually, and 2. you have watched at least one other show that Gong Seung Yeon has been in to understand her acting capabilities and general style.
This show is a parody of Kdrama tropes, fully tongue and cheek, with the characters overacting their trope roles on purpose. Without real confirmation, but based on WGM fans who loved Gong Seung Yeon & Lee Jong Hyun as the "Bee Couple" [meaning so sweet they are making honey like bees], it is likely the plot was created as "fan service" since their time together on the show was cut rather short for no really clear reason. Many of the things that happen can be referenced back to something that took place during their time on WGM variety show. This isn't meant to be a serious drama. It's 100% slapstick and over exaggerated to give these two some major experience in a lead role. It's also the first time either of them had a true kiss on camera. Most likely, because they've spent so much time together as a "couple" on camera, it would naturally be easier for them to give this part a go and do well doing it together. It was a great forum for a practice run in the "romance genre" of acting for both of them, and it's no coincidence that after the release of this on Netflix and the reception/ratings it got on that platform, that both Lee Jong Hyun & Gong Seung Yeon were picked up by OCN and KBS2 to star as leads in a romance drama, which are both going to be airing in March, 2018.
Best Global Management Award: Cube EntertainmentI'm sorry, but why did Cube win best management.
I fully agree. They did so many things wrong in 2017, the BEAST situation being on the top. CLC wasn't nominated for anything, Pentagon got newcomer awards, & BtoB were nominated but only won in online minor award ceremonies, no major event. Triple H's music peaked high on the charts but no awards. The only thing their actors have done notably last year was their newcomer to get on Produce 101, and a couple webtoons. He won the award for modeling, but that's about it. Cube lost more people than they got last year, and won hardly anything or did hardly anything of note.
Lastly, Universal music sold all of its stock shares in Cube Entertainment at the beginning of the year, and Cube revert to Loen for distribution. That's a lost for their global market, not a gain.
It's times like these you are reminded that South Korea still lives under the veil of a strong nepotistic cultural. Not only giving Cube this award, but Ruler so much recognition over other more popular dramas, this is the only thing that truly makes any sense. If you've paid your dues and networked, and know the big names that hand out the awards, you'll trump quality and get the paycheck every time. Seems that's how Korea works a majority of the time.
FYI, for anyone thinking this won't air: 1. THAAD is over. China and South Korea came to an agreement on it and China has released its ban as of the end of October, 2017. 2. ALL Chinese dramas are PRE-produced because of Communist censorship. It has to edited and approved to the Censorship Boards discretion before they will release it. The Production submits the story along with filming locations for pre-approval. They film the entire drama and submit it to the censors. The censors review it with editing comments, The Production makes the appropriate edits and resubmits as often times as required for final approval and release to air in China. The process tends to take about 1-2 years, thus, most C-dramas you're watching were filmed long before you got to see them and the actors/actresses are already moving on to other things. ...so, you'll also already know if you ship sailed or not --- hahaha... So, saying this will air in 2020 is a safe bet. Production usually gives a standard timeframe they are looking at to get this on the screen, and most often, they are fairly accurate. Unless North Korea does something drastic to cause a war, I don't see South Korea/China foregoing their trade relations. It's just as important to China as it is to Korea.
They were already married on September 1st, they just haven't announced when or IF they'll have a wedding reception and public interview about it.
Even though they've denied it, it looks as if they've been together since the beginning of 2015 after they starred together in Senryokugai Sousakan, so it's not as bad as it first sounded to me.
It's becoming more common in South Korea as well, but not as readily accepted, I think, but are there ANY Japanese actors/actresses that DON'T do the shotgun wedding? They date forever and it's like the girl needs to find a way to get pregnant for the dude to settle down. ...at least the South Korean culture is more accepting of female parenthood alongside having a successful career. Kim Hee Ae comes to mind when I think about this.. but not too many Japanese actresses do the same. Is it really their choice to be housewives only OR does society demand it of them even in this day and age?
https://productiveprocrastinationsite.wordpress.com/category/memory-lost-season-3/ :) it's currently being…
Thank you @Alice !!!! I seriously appreciate this...I've been holding off for such a long time, I may have to go back and re-watch the other two seasons..but I still have to say, the subbing is great!
Wow. Romance, if you are a young celebrity, especially a male, is so broken and unfair. They cannot win either…
I was kind of shocked people were bothered by this. Thanks for this comment...I had to laugh because my comment maybe long but like you said, I wasn't writing because I "care about "celebrity relationships", I was pontificating on the fact that netizens/fans/shippers have such an impact on celebrity's private lives and how they cannot live normal lives and how I think it's kind of tragic..lol....oh well...
Maybe I don't have a life...I just do what other people are doing, watch Asian dramas and movies and comment about them and review them. I have an International Business degree with a minor in finance but I grew up always wanting to be a writer. It takes me minutes to type out my thoughts, not all day... so, whatever, let em mock me. lol... It's not worth taking this stuff personally especially when it's obvious the person didn't even bother to read what I wrote. At least I took the time to read everyone else's opinion...
Wow. Romance, if you are a young celebrity, especially a male, is so broken and unfair. They cannot win either way. You get the fans clamoring for them to go public and admit their relationships. The fans go out of their way to post pics and evidence that they are in a relationship. If they don't get evidence and they wait until they announce their marriage you get a 50/50 reaction. You can become like Sung Min of Super Junior, where the fans boycott you for lying and disrespecting them. You can become like Song/Song couple, where you're engaged since February, Dispatch holds off because you have friends in high places, so another agency actually violates your privacy and in the midst of fans sympathy, use it to your advantage to announce you're getting married and have the fans support you. Or you're like Shin Min Ah and Kim Woo Bin, who are absolute poster childs for IDGAF personailities and even go out to eat, letting fans take pics of them while ignoring them completely and living in their own little couple world [Korean celebrities take note]. It's a toss up on how it plays out and LUCK is really the biggest factor and varible in the outcome.
If you're not good at hiding from the fans and papz prying eyes, like Hyeri and Jun Yeol or Joo Hyuk and Sung Kyung or Crystal and Kai and get photos taking of you having a date and enyoying NORMAL life watching a ColdPlay concert, or in your parkas sitting on a bench snuggling up looking at a lake, or snuggling up alone in an indoor pool, then you become FORCED to acknowledge your relationship. Unless the couple has a strong fanbase that will love them no matter what their actions are, and/or have the fortitude to say IDGAF to everyone and take the heat and/or be a person who doesn't require validation in the majority of their activities in life, they are proabably doomed to breakup. Maturity helps with establishing the IDGAF attitude, this is why most celebrities wait until after 30 to get married...even waiting as far away as 40 years old. Even then, like Shin Hwa's Eric Mun, your fans will tell you to step down as leader and tell you that you've betrayed them by keeping them in the dark. What they probably really wanted to do was to ridicule her pre-marriage because it's over when they're married. The fans become resentful because they sitll want their pound of flesh.
When the couple gets caught and are subjected to the CONSTANT lookie-lous and questioning, and interference into their private lives, the pressure is on. If the couple succumb to the pressure and break up then the other side of the coin happens, they get demonized for going PUBLIC, even though the fans know they themselves, in their lust for news of their private lives, FORCED them to have to go public in the first place. It's not like any of the folks I just named intended or even WANTED to go public right now with their relationships. It's just they aren't good at stealth ninja-like actions, and counter-spy measures. Unfortunately for them, they act like they want to have NORMAL lives while being a Korean celebrity....ain't gonna happen in this lifetime.
So, yeah, this is brutal but what do you expect when you live in a country that refers to a mere romantic celebrity relationship as a "scandal". I **still** cannot wrap my mind around that concept. In the USA, a "scandal" is when someone does something **wrong** like getting caught cheating on your wife, or doing drugs, or breaking the law, or being an indecent human being with indecent human actions. It's not a scandal to act within the law and do everything a NORMAL human being does in their daily lives...but who am I to judge???? lol.....

Thank you for doing this...we'd have never gotten to understand this quirky drama without the subs.
