From what I am seeing the crown princess and Fu Shui are worried that ChuMo and ChuLing retaliating but the crown prince said that his guards are loyal to him and they will report the incident without biased so the two brothers should not act on the news. ChuLing actually marries princess XinNan at the end during the double wedding with ChuMu and Fu Rou.

He apologies and paid some compensation then he avoided controversies and laid low for 6 years, so through the eyes of the law he's done his bit.
Plus he must have some serious backers otherwise he would have been like Fan Bingbing, then again the case between the two of them are different one is tax evasion other is plagiarism which as you know in China.......... ^_^

What can I say? Love story turns into a history lesson. So instead of creating a love story, random stories makes up the story to make it last so it will fit in with what happens in history. After all history is long during the reign of Li Shimen.

Sadly this drama was supposed to be a story between Fu Rou and ChuMu and it has turned into a history lesson, so if it follows history, then the crown prince will be exiled as will prince Han.

Mhm and notice that they arent always together, Wan'Er grows and becomes stronger, even against her own mother. She also goes about helping Fan Xian, infiltrate the palace, whereas Fu Rou, let's be a goody goody and apply my benevolence in the palace where people gets beaten for not teaching the crown prince or for trying to knock a bird nest off the tree, let's go save the lecherous Prince Liang and lose my medicines which could have saved consort Han.
Dont get me wrong, I dont hate any of the characters, each characters exposes flaws and each of them have opportunity to redeem themselves yet most of them fail to do so.
Prince Liang marries YingYing, promises to take good care of her, until he finds out that she slept with someone else prior the wedding.
Crown princess, flaps her mouth constantly, never learns after being taught a lesson or two.
And the list goes on and on, and wait, thought this was a story between the ChuMo and Fu Rou and not about the palace intrigues, politics and MAINLY about the side characters.

Definitely Yu Zheng has a large say since he is the executive producer which means in a tv drama series he is the creator and writer, not only does that role created the show, they help write the script, and run the day-to-day production operations. My surprise is that as of chapter one of the novel the drama series follows it quite closely. So I dont know what is going on with the creative team.
I am not a big fan of Yu Zheng given his plagiarism controversies, one might say he doesnt have creativity lol.

Could have done a Joy of Life type, where the focus is on Fu Rou, ChuMu becomes Wan'Er. Misunderstands are fine as long as they dont drag too long or have one after the other. In Joy of Life, Wan'Er conforts FanXian about the death of her brother, it was resolved cleanly and things moved on. I am pretty sure most people signed up on this drama for the romance comedy between Fu Rou and ChuMo, yes given that the synopsis gave us fair warning that they wont be together very often, what we didnt count on is the large focus of the Imperial family, this drama pretty much turned into a history lesson with the usual court intrigues and maneuverings.

Maaaaaaaybe.... Have to remember that Prince Liang knows she isnt a virgin when she was married so Prince Liang might have doubts, given that YingYing might have given herself to another man more that a year ago wont be an excuse for the insecure Prince Liang. ＼(>o<)ノ

He cant marry YingYing since she is married to Prince Liang, unless Prince Liang dies, which I was told (take this with a pinch of salt) that he will die.

I agree, bad script writing, surprisingly from Feng Nong, given she is the author of the novel and has written other novels which were made and being made into dramas.

Let's look at consort Han's death, used to serve as a warning to Prince Han due to rumours about his participation on the assassination attempt of the crown prince. The empress is benevolent, smart and wise, yet she orders the death anyway The emperor pardons Lu family for atrocities done to many people, court members and soldiers and corruption yet wont lift a finger in regards to his own family. Yes the empress is responsible for the inner court and harem, but one word from him would have saved consort Han.

Fu Rou is great at explaining things to the emperor, empress and other people yet with ChuMu, let's not even try to explain and let him throw his temper tantrum, sure ChuMu didnt give her a chance to explain yet she manages to do so with other people through perseverance and her devotion but not ChuMu who is supposedly in love with her, changed to be better and worthy of her, yet he wont listen? HUH????

It is due to rumours spread about the assassination attempt on the crown prince, the Empress used this as a warning to Prince Han, thinking that he had something to do with the attempt and to warn him not to contest the crown prince position.
But main reason is bad script writing. Emperor forgives the Lu family for corruption and killing a lot of people yet let's go have consort Han killed, does that make any sense?

Seems the screenwriter/author is throwing everything and every cliche into this ^_^

If only Fu Rou explains to ChuMo and tries to resolves the misunderstand, like she does explaining things to save other people like the empress or emperor....

She becomes pregnant with ZiFang's child....

Keep your eye out for a character named Xiao Lu, portrayed by Zhang YiXi, she is supposed to be Wu Zetian

Even though she is a woman from a brothel, compared to a two-faced (without principles/duplicity/hypocrite) person like you, she is better(stronger) than you by a hundred times.

Fu Rou grows up from this and realises that being nice wont let you survive in the imperial court and only by being strong will that happen. Sadly it is all too late for consort Han. (;ﾟ Дﾟ;)

Yes, she is to a lesser degree responsible for the deaths of those she loves.
