Episodes 26 & 27 were so good! Omg. It took me forever to finish them because I kept replaying the scenes. Drunk Sheng Yang was so cute! I also loved the heartwarming scenes Sheng Yang had with his mom and dad. And the scenes with his friends. Sheng Yang and Jian Bing were so cute! I loved how they teased each other. So many heartwarming funny moments. Some of the best episodes we’ve gotten. I want more of this! 💕
Y’all notice how Jian Bing kept checking her phone waiting to get texts from Sheng Yang? And how happy she looked when he messaged her? She’s already falling for him although I’m sure right now she’ll deny it. I love the little smiles between them.
I loved episode 13! Sheng Yang & the music teacher having that passive aggressive convo after SY got Jian Bing to go w/him was so funny. He knows exactly what he’s doing with this cute expression. Of course she couldn’t deny him. 🥰
I love how much closer Sheng Yang and Jian Bing are getting. The slow burn is so good. Have y’all noticed that every scene of hers where she smiles and laughs is due to Sheng Yang. He is her Sun. I love how she was there for him. Both for his job and for his parents. I love them. 🥰
Episodes 10 and 11 were so good. Seeing his parents quarrel was so realistic. I cried several times throughout. The writers handled both sides so well. I felt sympathy for both parents and for Sheng Yang, as well.
Sheng Yang’s expressions in this drama crack me up. The chemistry between him and Jian Bing is so good already. I can’t wait to see it develop. I love how they balance serious issues with comedy. The drama is so good. I’m loving it more and more. 🥰
I understand that everyone wants the focus to be on the leads and I’m not trying to police others opinions. But I think it’s important to mention that this type of drama has to establish all the characters. So we can see how their stories intertwine with the leads. Once they’re established the main focus will go back to Sheng Yang and Jian Bing. I really liked episodes 8 & 9. The focus was back on SY and JB.

Sunshine By My Side is fastly becoming one of me favorite shows. It’s sooo good. The leads have great chemistry. The cast is amazing. The cinematography is gorgeous. Feels like I’m watching a movie. I love all the side characters except Sheng Yang’s team leader. And Jiang Bing’s (ex)husband. Although, from the trailer it looks like he’ll become likable later on. Also, Sheng Yang’s parents are hilarious. 😆 I love the pace of the drama. I lost track of time and before I knew it I finished all 5 eps. I highly recommend this drama to anyone who wants to watch something of quality with good writing.
