about the grip reaper: after She exposes CTS's wrongdoings to KHW instead of running away she tries to kill him with a gun as revenge for killing her parents and fails, instead CTS shots her and then burns the house she is bleeding out in with her in it to the ground, she dies and that's it for her character until the last panel of the Manhwa that shows KHW and KHA and sang man talking and laughing and in the distance HJH in her grim reaper robes is watching them and turns around and leaves while her robe is fluttering in the wind and those three are shown behind her and then black, end of Manhwa.

When did you finish the webtoon? You’re wrong about several things.

It’s much more understandable in the webtoon, the ending and the whole grim reaper thing is so much better explained or atleast shown.

Dude! Please read the webtoon, I dropped this because it was so different compared to the Manhwa and the ending in the webtoon is so satisfying and sweet (I don’t wanna spoil so I’m not gonna say anymore) . Also every character is portrayed so much better in the Manhwa, it’s a must read.

Then I’m happy I dropped it, the writer changed so many things that were already perfect, for no reason whatsoever. also the ending is one of the best parts of the webtoon, can’t believe they changed that

Yep, it was the same for me and I was looking forward to it's airing too.
For me the worst part on top of the dragginess was how unutilized the FL was, she was such a useless character, both romantically and in correlation to the story.

Yeah, paper and pencil would have been a better choice and the devices would have worked for me of it was something that was in development since the first episode, but with how fast Ah reum made it, it made the devices cheap and made them look like an easy way out by the writer.

The grim reaper and the general’s relationship was the only saving grace of episode 8, and I’m not dropping yet but the drama started with it being about magic with the help of ghosts, so far magic seems to have disappeared from the drama completely.

I will keep watching but I’m gonna skip a lot of scenes which brings the rating of this drama down for me, I had it at a 9 in the first week but now it’s barely a 6 for me.

On episode 8 now and this drama is starting to lose me, the SML is getting way too much screen time, and apparently the two leads are destined lovers and that makes the SML obsolete so I'm not interested in him at all and just skip his scenes.

the ghost stories are becoming cliché and the ghost stuff as a whole has turned from being mysterious to plain silly at this point, the inventions of Ah reum is ruining the mystical aspects of ghosts, at this rate cha cha woong can mass produce Ah reum's stuff and buy and move to his island in less than a week, the whole shaman thing is useless now cause ghosts can now move on by just talking using the equipment(that airpod thing was really stupid on top of all the other stuff).
I'm this close to dropping this and just watch the last episode when it comes out.

yeah, exactly! I don't why the writer insists on adding so many characters and then instead of exploring them, waste time by shwing them visiting Hee woo's family's restaurant over and over and over again, it's exhausting.
to be honest Hee woo's parents are useless to the plot, in the webtoon there are barely in it except for a couple of panels.
Sang man is so much more capable too, his character seems to have totally changed in the drama. and if according to you we dive-in Hee ah's family then even more useless scenes would have been made.

If it was my daughter then she should pay the price for being greedy and wanting to get ahead by using her body(as a father it's my job to teach her right from wrong, whatever decision she makes beyond that, she has to live with the consequences).
and you're only looking at this from one perspective; that actress agreed to be used in order to get ahead and compensate probably for her lack of talent and 100% the abuser is responsible and must be punished but she couldn't have been completely blameless, a famous actor like Lee Kyung Young couldn't have propositioned someone willy-nilly and out of the blue with no context unless that someone wanted something in return for giving away her body.
Again I'm not trying to say Lee Kyung Young is without fault, he is completely responsible and must be punished which he has been, and for me that's the end of it and if you want to do more harm to someone who is now by the law of his country considered innocent, then that's vigilantism and you will eventually be punished by that same law for your actions.
and what do you mean a desk job?? he was 43 a the time, what kind of a desk job can he start from zero at that age?

it is good f you're into revenge dramas where the main character schemes behind the villains back without the villain even knowing about it.

But if you're a manhwa lover like I am then I suggest you read the webtoon first, it has more action, more character development and it's just better in everyway compared to the drama.

If you want pure action then no this is not for you, it has some cool action scenes with an even cooler OST but it's only two or three really short scenes so far.

If he has done his time in jail and was also banned from tv for a long time, then I don't see why he shouldn't make a living again. I believe that a one time mistake born out of temptation as long as it didn't get someone killed shouldn't define someone's entire life.

sure what he has done is horrible but you can't stop people from earning money after they've done their time, if that was the case then all inmates that get released would die of hunger on the side of the streets.
