what I mean by lack of criticism is how they never mention his part in the current story that is unfolding with the stepmom. They forgave him but tbh he doesn't deserve forgiveness just because he started to stand up to his uncle and new wife. Just because you move forward doesn't mean the scars of the past ever fully heal. I know they don't want to waste time on his character but that is how I feel when I see him (he is not much better than wei ting yu. the onlt diffrance is they wrote the dad's side so we feel bad for him) plus cheating during this time might have not been as big of an issue as now
