Title In a Class of Her Own Spoiler
I appreciate the witty comedy and all, but i'm having severe SLS. I'm currently on ep31 and before ep30 I was still rooting for ML to end up with FL, but he lost my support and respect completely. Gosh i find men who use another female as a substitute/rebound in order to chicken out of/ avoid their real feelings for the one they love really unmanly and undeserving. This makes me look down on him for leading her on, be it deliberately or unintentionally. What about 2FL's feelings? Has he ever thought about how heart-broken she would be after he finishes using her before casting her aside with a mere apology that feels so insincere as if he wasn't even sorry? Coming and going as he pleases just because 2FL is readily available for him and then leaving her in an emotional wreck. I really feel sorry for her (;一_一). A decent man wouldn't use a woman to solve his problem and abandon her like that. Coupled with the fact that FL has more chemistry with 2ML/3ML, the romance between FL and ML really makes me frustrated.
--
Dropped on ep35 after fast-forwarding a bunch of scenes with increasing vexation. I kept waiting for an apology, which never came. My rating for this drops from 8.5 at the beginning to 6.0 at the end. I'd give it a 6.5 because I enjoyed the comedy.

This is the third out of 3 dramas starring Song Wei Long that gives me this syndrome (the other 2 are Find Yourself and Go Ahead). I'll definitely be more reserved about his romantic dramas in the future.

engaging story and well-crafted characters. Nice chemistry and natural acting. FL lost her empowering charm at the beginning as she uncharacteristically resigned to fate a bit too easily near the end, but it can be tolerated as ML's superb acting makes up for it. ML's relentless quest to win over FL with his sincerity and overflowing affection is so endearing that it's futile for FL (or any woman) to resist his magnetic charm. Overall it's an enjoyable fluffy mini drama full of swoon-worthy moments, which is perfect when you need a quick fix of romance.

I just noticed ML also starred in Your Eyes, My World, where there are a bunch of kisses. No wonder why i found him so familiar. He's sexy and always has sizzling chemistry with his co-star. Hope he gets his full-length soon!

on ep5 and i got SLS. ML at this point really doesn't deserve FL in the least bit. The slo-mo is so random, only making it draggier.
--
dropped at ep9. Too many loopholes. Frustration is all i feel up to this point, as I'm having severe SLS and I still can't take a liking to the revolting ML who's a jerk 99% of the times. He's never sincere nor forthcoming to FL, always lying/concealing the truth from her and uses underhanded tactics to get her to stay. He thinks he's above her and treats her like his maidservant, never apologizing for the wrongs he did to her. He took her for granted and only reacted selfishly when he's gonna lose her by guilt-tripping her or pretending to be sick to fish for her pity. This is not romantic, this is emotional blackmail.

It was good until it wasn't. The plot lacks focus and the character writing is inconsistent, especially the whole ordeal with the bro. What's wrong with the writer? Why bother building a likeable, healthy, and good-natured character only to ruin it all by turning him into a revolting, toxic, psychotic manipulator out of nowhere to act as the cannon fodder for plot device? I'm speechless that such outdated rage-inducing tropes still exists. I wish chinese dramas stopped butchering their characters with those infuriatingly stupid misunderstandings that exhaust and insult viewers' intelligence already.

Up until ep15 I enjoyed drama because of the healthy dynamic among the characters and FL's unique personality. After that it started to drag and go downhill from ep 16, where i got major secondhand embarrassment. Dropped at ep 20 because of FL's uncharacteristically stupid decision caused by the uncharacteristically deceitful bro. I hope Luo Zheng picks scripts with consistent writing and fleshed out characters in a mature and healthy relationship in the future.

you can try Lucky's first love, where 2FL has self-respect and also respects ML's choice. She ends up with someone…
best chemistry: DITK
has the most kisses: NOTC2

FL ended up with ML and SFL with SML. It's a love square at the beginning.

in terms of nice and non-rage-inducing 2FLs, i can recommend some:
- Who Rules The World (competent, supportive, respectful 2FL who becomes FL's best friend later on),
- The Night of the Comet Season 2 (ex-girlfriend 2FL who's reasonable, confident, respectful).
- Legally Romance (kind, non-clingy 2FL who's also a friend of FL)
- Make a Wish
- Dating in the Kitchen (i didn't like 2FL at first but she turns out to be a nice lady)

But no 2FL has ever given me the second lead syndrome though haha.

Another drama involving a love triangle with two men pursuing the FL😔 Can someone please recommend a drama…
you can try Lucky's first love, where 2FL has self-respect and also respects ML's choice. She ends up with someone else in the end tho.

I would rate their chemistry 9 and the story 6 lol. First half was quite compelling, but following his memory recovery, i gradually lost interest and started fastforwarding a lot. Overall it's an enjoyable romance despite some cringey moments and many cliches. The kisses were very well done. ML's organic acting and his chemistry with his counterpart got me sold. Really hope to see him in more romantic dramas cuz he's the embodiment of sexiness.

Title Love Unexpected Spoiler
I decided to watch because i saw a clip of their steamy kiss on Youtube, and honestly that's the only thing that's good about this show (ep 12,16,19,21 for those who cares). This is one of those dramas that have potential but fall spectacularly flat. Episode 2 got me intrigued, but the rest of the drama is a letdown. FL is designed as a physically strong girl, but in actuality she's an unprofessional and entitled damsel with a pair of glass ankles at ML's beck and call for the entire show. ML is a cold-hearted prick who wishes to recover his emotions, yet once he does he cowardly denies his feelings for FL, playing hard to get and making her suffer. I kept waiting for ML's redemption arc, which never came, because the writer brilliantly injected an inconsequential car-accident trope that defeats the entire purpose of ML's noble idiocy aka stupid and hurtful breakup with her, making all of her grovelling and sufferings pointless (along with my suffering from the secondhand embarrassment thereof). Eventually she woke up from her coma and STILL has to be the one who runs to him first lol. ML was never the one who has to make an effort/ take initiative in their lukewarm romance. His tragic past and their fateful first encounter when she did him a favour was underutilised/underdelivered and thereby becoming inconsequential.

6 is the highest i can give for this show (would've been 4 but for the steamy kisses).
On Immortal Samsara: Part 2 Feb 22, 2023
decided to drop. The emotional payoff for all the frustration from the angst and misunderstandings in part 1 is so underwhelming and unsatisfying. This is not it for me.
