Just finished ep 6 and it's getting better. I do agree the two main leads overact in the beginning. Maybe the still do, but I'm getting used to it? For now I like Peter Sheng's character more. The male lead seems so impulsive and irrational. I hope the drama is good with such cast. Strange no one is subbing it...

I live in a small country in Europe. So, you guys are saying eps 1-25 are not blocked/deleted in your country? I had no idea youtube differentiates between countries.

I agree. The subtitles disappear really quickly. Luckily I understand mandarin for 80% otherwise I would miss half of the story. I don't know how all the non mandarin speakers do it?

Thanks all! Since I'm very chatty too I fit in here quite well I guess :). I finished ep 5 yesterday and it is getting more interesting.

Deciding to join the hype and watch this drama seeing the amount of comments here. And we're just 1/3 through (around ep 18)? But I just finished ep 3 and the show hasn't drawn me in yet... I don't like the male lead (Yu Wen Yue had her brother killed). Yan Xun is more likeable so far.

I really hoped it got me hooked from the start like Eternal Love did (still not over that drama and reading fanfics). From which episode starts the addiction?

I also started A life time of love but without subs I only understand 80%. All the mythical stuff there is difficult to understand without subs.

PS. I believe even Eternal Love didn't get this amount of comments so early on in the show? That was a unexpected gem that I enjoyed so very much. I hope my expectations aren't too high now for this drama. That only ruins the fun.

Sonicboom, where do you watch this? On youtube I saw only 6 eps (whilst youve already watched ep 12?). Also, youtube eps contain 33 min?? I'm wondering I'm watching a cut version, because sometimes it seems like that (I just finished ep 2 and it is confusing at times).

The eps on youtube only take 34 minutes (croton channel). Have they cut scenes? Usually eps are aound 45 minutes?

Can't be bad production when Huang Xiao Ming is in it. That guy is also one of the top actors. And he is really handsome in historical drama. The female leads are also great. So much eye candy and another xianxia (really needed one after Eternal Love). The title and synopsis scream heart wrenching romance!!

I also loved this drama so much! I shipped BQ/YH but I felt very sorry for Mo Yuan.
Recentlyly I came across two fanfics about shifu.

In the first one BQ is in love with shifu. In the 2nd one it's about MY and Shao Wan. The original author mentioned SW only very briefly, but the authors of the fanfic created a kick ass version of SH including very intersting side stories. Also very nice scenes for BQ/YH. WARNING, some chapters are sizzling hot and NSFW. And sooo funny.

First half of this drama was entertaining but then it dragged and dragged and became really dull. I think it is overrated. a 7/10 in my opinion.

I also like Cdramas more than Kdramas. Cdramas are lenghtier (a downside if drama isn't that great), but there is more room for character development, complex (sub)plots and side character and stories. Kdramas can be draggy too although there are only 16-20 eps, because they are so focused on the main couple. Chinese costumes and scenery are also better looking imo.

That's a pity and disappoints me. Although this is very common for Cdramas, but if it's a good drama and script there shouldn't be things like this. I also hate it when the lead is easily tricked, it makes him weak (not saying it is happening here, but many scripts have these flaws).

@Silver. True. It's a heart wrenching story. I only found two deleted scenes. The jealous kiss scene in the final ep and one scene when Bai Zi Hua was poisoned and needed blood. He kissed her then. Are there more deleted scenes?

Hi kristal, nice to see you here too :). I have been reading your comment in Eternal Love and I know how you enjoyed that drama (me too). I hope you like this one as well. Be prepared for a heart wrenching story. I loved and hated this drama at the same time. Now after a few weeks I mostly cherish how this drama has made me feel such deep emotions. EL is still my no. 1, no doubt about that, but this one is a gem too. Please let us know your views from time to time and how you feel after finishing.

My sentiments exactly. I posted my very long comment 11 days ago (see below). First, I thought I'm not going to watch it ever again or anytime soon, but last night (when I wanted to watch a new drama but couldn't come up with one) I really wanted to see some of my fav scenes and episodes again. I guess, I have forgiven the drama made me cry so much. I will give it a few weeks/months more and then rewatch it. This time, I'm prepared..

Me too. I liked it from the start. I really love Mo Yuan. That made the first eps very interesting. Mark's acting is really superb. Mo Yuan just had a few lines but through his expressions it was clear how much he loved Si Jin/BQ. I totally ship YH but I felt sorry for MY. I wish BQ had a twin sister...
