The last three episodes are so funny. At the first episodes Xu Yan was constantly worried and calculating, never wanting others to find the truth. But now, she is more healthy, her character is more authentic, she lets herself be more free. She has improved her relationship with her sister and made some friends. It was so sad when she had no friends to attend her wedding, not even one to be real with, even with her lies.

Haha true, the wait each week was already hard enough. I totally get why 12 episodes makes sense and it really did keep things tight and faithful. At the same time, I just personally like when a drama lasts longer, so part of me still wishes it had been 16 shorter episodes. But yeah, I’m also grateful we got such long and interesting episodes!

Yeah, I see what you mean. If they stretched it to 16 without new material, the pacing could suffer. Personally, I just like when dramas have more episodes so the experience lasts longer, but it makes sense that they kept it at 12 to follow the webtoon closely.
This isn’t really relevant with the story of the drama tself, but it kind of bugs me and I just want to vent somewhere. The episodes are 1 hour and 20 minutes long. Instead of 12 episodes, couldn’t they make 16 episodes of about an hour each? The episodes feel too long, and it’s nicer when a drama runs for more weeks.
I'm currently in episode 11 and omg I love their current dynamic. Friends that tease and joke with each other, their humour "chemistry" is great and I like the fact that even tho they have started to like each other, things are still pretty casual 😌
