It's perfect. It portrays with realism the struggles of poor people, the struggles between parents and children, the struggles of families, the problems of an overly judgemental and gossiping society and it shows how beautiful a pure, teenage love is. If you gonna watch, you won't regret it 😊
I couldn't agree more. Such poisons dont exist and why do the protagonists always swallow willingly...nobody checked…
@Tintentaucher In the novel, the female lead was drugged and r*ped by the male lead, so changing it to a ''i took an aphrodisiac and I'm horny" thrope it's way better.
Mumu is crossing the line. She might be Sheng's childhood friend but she does not have any rights to tell Qingyu…
You're right, there is a fine line between giving advise and straight up insulting someone by saying they're pitiful and getting picked up like an abandoned animal
I don't know if Mumu liked Ming Shen in the novel, but i hope the drama won't take that route. And Honestly, if i was at Mumu's place, i could done the same. Ming Shen is in a good position, where his parents can support his college studies and even help him study abroad so i wouldn't advise my friend to act on impulse just because he doesn't have the best relationship with his father. Also, when she said that Ming Shen always helps the needy i was shocked, it's not like Qingyu is a stray cat or something 😅
you said it so well! she's a complex character for sure. it's obvious that she loves her children, and as a woman…
You are right, the father is physically present but not mentally, which has definitely left an impact on jinyu who tends to back down kn difficult situations and doesn't like to make decisions or take the initiative
The scenes with the parents are so hard to watch for me, i'm seeing my own mother and father in most of them. Especially the mother, she's blinded by the reputation she has to uphold and she doesn't trully care about the truth, as long as the people don't gossip about her familly, which is inevitable. She's also blinded by the common patriarchal values, which is not trully her fault since she was raised that way, which has made her to throw away qingyu's clothers that are considered "flashy" , so she couldn't capture the attention of men, she has forbit qingyu to develop friendships with male individuals and she even resorted to physical violence when her daughter choosed to speak up(i'm not going to mention beiyu). She isn't evil, but a person who is afraid of the judgemental society. This is not an excuse about her actions, but we can't, as the audience, just say "i hate her".
Can you please spoil me for this: why on earth does Hua Ru Yue hate Bai Jiu Si so much in the first place? I'm…
She helped a mortal to kill a divine beast, which is against the laws of nature and she was punished by BJS by taking her powers and letting her live as a mortal for 10 years
Since this is already coming to the end its time to ask, is it worth to watch this show?As i almost never watch…
The rating is not as high as the drama actually needs. It touches some sensitive topics like the importance of perspective, radical thinking, unability to explore different opinions and takes in life, the rage of a mother and so on.
