This comment section is honestly so sickening. So many people complain about how men aren't free in our society to show affection toward one another, but now that a bromance drama is airing, they're complaining that it isn't a BL romance.

At the same time, it's absolutely fine to ship two characters if you think they have good chemistry. Both perspectives can coexist. Let's all be civilized, respect each other's opinions and simply have fun watching the drama!

I really like the main couple 🩷

Because he likes her. Not as a romantic interest yet, but he likes her as an employee because of her obvious talent. She is highly sought after, and plenty of people would line up to hire her the moment she said, "I'm leaving." Considering their past misunderstanding, the male lead has fallen in her eyes, and one of the worst things that can happen to a boss is having his own employees feel dissatisfied with or disapproving of him. After all, he even said that her opinion of him was written all over her face. That's why he is trying to be more sincere and change the way she sees him. He wants to improve her opinion of him and, most importantly, keep such a talented employee from leaving. However, I have to say that his ways aren't very convincing yet.

I saw this drama at midnight. 6 hours later, the rating dropped from 8 to 7.7. This much difference makes me believe that some people downvoted it on purpose 😩. I think that Miles Wei's drama get downvoted very easily.

If they truly wanted her to suffer, then wanting to bring her to justice would at least make sense. But what you're presenting is, once again, a very misogynistic view—the idea that a woman must always put her husband or son first simply because, at 17, she believed that this was the right way to live. Thank you for making me laugh, though. Your comment was certainly something. Those people are truly fascinating sometimes. 😭

I believe that anyone who condemns and hates Fan Ya Ke for not taking her son with her is being misogynistic. For centuries, women have been forced into having children, especially male children, in order to continue the family lineage. In many cases, having children was one of the only ways a woman could gain respect and security within her own household. Fan Ya Ke didn't happily choose motherhood—they forced it upon her. And even after giving birth to a son, what did she receive in return? Her husband remained infatuated with another married woman, damaging Fan Ya Ke's reputation and taking even more concubines.

So why should she necessarily have taken her son with her? By staying at his father's house, he could receive the love and support of his father and grandparents, as well as all the privileges that came with being born into an aristocratic family. What exactly would he have lost? In my opinion, Fan Ya Ke acknowledging that her son could potentially suffer by her side and choosing to give him a more stable life was a much greater act of love than taking him with her simply because society expects every mother to keep her child at all costs. Not every woman is made for motherhood, and that's okay.
