Kudos to the actor playing the Emperor, Hai Yi Tian….. really brought the character to life, I’ve only ever found Joy of Life’s Emperor, Chen Dao Ming amazing… He still tops the list but Hai Yi Tian made the role here pretty memorable.
The Emperor like he wants to be a part of the Hua family. 🤣😂 He is quite obsessed with this family it's…
I think the actor, Hai Yi Tian, who plays the Emperor is really amazing…. The way he smiles, and also the subtle changes in his facial expression gives me the creeps. If I had a family member who cares for me in the same way as he does, I think I would have nightmares everyday. 🤣🤣🤣
Like he really made the role come to life, making it very multi-layered…. throughout the entire series I’ve been wondering if he really loves his nephew or if it is just possessiveness/ obsession…. Or it’s neither and he purely wants to use GYX because he’s very capable.
Yeaaapppp. And it’s really necessary for this film because of all the shamanism jargons….. I’m just going to wait although I already “browsed” through it….. totally regret it. 🤦🏻♀️
Whoa! Where did you get this info from? But yeah... I kinda believed that given what I saw.
Kim Go Eun mentioned it on YouTube to Na PD…. She was invited to his YouTube channel with Yoo Hae Jin to promote the film….
She didn’t explicitly state that the shaman was there to “protect” the crew…. But instead she mentioned that there was a real shaman present the entire time as a consultant and before the shoot the shaman actually walked barefoot whilst performing some ritual across the entire mountain they were shooting at….
There's something really magical about this drama...I can't really pinpoint one thing..🥰🥰🥰
Totally agree. I watched the first few episodes the first time round and fell asleep…. And then….. I ended up persisting and became ultra hooked.
Read the novel, regretted reading…. And just… I don’t know. lol, all sorts of weird feelings about this drama. Wish I didn’t read the novel to kill my curiosity.
I legit wish I can press an erase button in my mind… coz I read the novel, mostly because it was so short; super…
She like sort of perishes into the deep ocean but in reality she was kept hostage by Fu Sheng. They need her orb. So then Mo Fang is always trying to keep her out of everything….
Anyways, in short, Mo Fang breaks her out of captivity, leaves her at some place, Xing Zhi finally discovers her after constantly searching for her for 3-4 months.
A bunch of battle stuff happens after involving the Abyss… basically the Abyss is unstable so it finally gives way. Then Xing Zhi dies to keep the universe stable. And then….. uh…. His soul is kinda unknowingly protected by the ancient gods from TianWaiTian. So he gets resurrected after a while and then it ends with a HE.
I've been complaining about the odd sunlight and sudden flashes lol.
Oh hello!! Hahaha. Yea, there was just this weird sunlight glow which took a while to get used to. Like it just shines on their hair + face + entire set from like the top…. Super apparent in the first few episodes, and then I think everyone just gets used to it….

Shitz. Ikr…. I mean I’m glad it’s so faithfully adapting the novel, but like I don’t even know how to describe this feeling….. 🤣🤣🤣 it feels like I’m in pain but at the same time I’m curious+itching+’ughhhh someone strangle me…..’ kinda thing. Like a mixture of annoyance, relief, curiosity, and just angst… 🤣🤣🤣
This is weird, never happened before coz….. I usually don’t read the novel. I mean. It’s usually just wayyyyyyyy too long.

Very good review on the film. I think Jason Yu, the director left it open to the audience.
