Manipulator is the right word……. BUT……. Did you realise a lot of things just worked in his favour……? He was mostly a bystander…. Coz I thought about it…….. his mother only told him AFTER the bombing (what is the point of telling the grandfather then), although his father claimed he knew all along, but he seemed genuinely surprised when his son mentioned it during the news interview……. And he actually didn’t intend to verify his father’s espionage…….. he was taken aback with the AI recording ….. he is just…….. lol…………… selfish…… and lucky? 🤣🤣🤣 a very well written antagonist to contrast his father……

Damns, the twists and details on the antagonists….. the dude is so complex….. so is ‘he’ a grey character? Thinking hard and I still can’t say he is a straight up ‘bad guy’……..

But once she does that whole brain transplant thing from female to male it then deviates from the entire tone + theme of the series, it loses the realistic edge and becomes closer to a makjang……… which I wouldn’t be surprised for K-dramas BUT this screenwriter is known for realistic and logical plots, layered with fine details……. Also, there was always a romantic undertone between both of them, even till the end they captured a shot + flashback whereby WCW looks at the door wanting to go back to YJY before collapsing…… putting her into a male body is just weird……. 🤣

But did you notice On San is ultra calm, collected, tying up lose ends…? He will never allow anything to happen to YJY….. otherwise he wouldn’t be so calm………. 🤔

SEASON 2 PLZ! And PLZ don’t turn this into a makjang…. I will be ultra disappointed with this screenwriter. Loved Life and Stranger.

Loved Season 1 although the cuts in Episode 10 was apparent…. Also don’t like this whole trend whereby they have an open ending without a commission for Season 2. Think it’s a double edge sword in trying to push/bait production companies to greenlight another season to earn more money at the expense of the audiences’ sentiment. 🤣

But she has explicitly mentioned in one of the prior episodes that they have successfully cultured all organs except the human brain……..

I thought of No.3 too. I think that is highly likely…. And it‘s actually feasible + logical.

But I feel this is at the level in between Stranger and Life (didn’t watch Grid)… I would classify Life as subtle, or more of a hint. Stranger is honestly almost non-existent, I never quite noticed whilst watching it, I personally thought they were more like best friends/commaderies. SO….. it will depend how the final 2 eps go. It could end like Life. They didn’t get together in the end, it was just more of a hint that they will likely get together after that final scene…

I loved it for Stranger, I thought it was just on point, same for Life…. Same screenwriter. She usually has like very little to almost no romance for her works….. BUT for this one I would love for them to actually get tog…. 🤣🤣🤣

I think they got inspiration from Japan’s wagashi…. Which has a long history and is still a tradition preserved although no longer as exclusive as before.

Am I the only one having wishful thinking of a bodyguard romance trope……? lol, I love a cliche for once….. JJH and HHJ plz give me romance…. Not just subtle undertones. Pleaaaaseee…. 😍😍😍 but given the screenwriter penned Stranger, I doubt my wish will come true…. 😢

Damns man…. HHJ’s role is so attractive here. All the men at the police station had to bow down and accommodate a lady, a woman….. how refreshing to see people fear a woman in power….

In reality she didn’t do any of those, so those were just rumours because she is very pretty, and she dresses up flawlessly in everyday which is very out of the norm in a small village.

BUT… I would say she is very smart and manipulative all along. Hence her relationship with the ML is very complex….

Ummm… it was sorta like a betrayal….? Emotions wise it was complicated and intense because the other party is always kept in the dark, a lot of things were not openly communicated. Hence the mystery/thriller tag…..
