š³š³š³ Mainland actually allowed SM scenesā¦.. like wowā¦. Probably because it was shot in 2018⦠donāt think itād pass censorship anymore⦠the autopsies + crime scenes were a lot more explicit versus C-dramas of similar genreā¦
Not too bad, I was intrigued because of how it was based on the first female forensic scientist in Mainland, Wang Xue Meiā¦. The acting is inconsistent, I.e different standards amongst actors casted and group chemistry is mediocre at best⦠production quality is acceptable⦠not too low budget but defo not highā¦. Only thing that kept me going is that this is based on actual cases - ā adapted from the real caseāā¦. Watched it on the premise that all the cases are real-life cases⦠if so, they are really quite bizarre and very interestingā¦
After so many years, Idk why i decided to watch this but i am truly happy i did, this drama will forever hold…
Oh my gosh. Same!!! Although I havenāt finished it though, almost there. I have no idea why I finally decided to give it a go. Came across it so many times coz of the high rating on MDLā¦. Always was like ānahhhhhhāā¦. But never have I laughed and cried simultaneously so many times before thisā¦..
It makes me wonder if I should give Hot Stove League a goā¦ š¤š¤š¤
I canāt believe that this is probably the best TV series Iāve ever watchedā¦. I was sooooo skeptical when I started it and glossed over it so many timesā¦. finally decided to give it a go just to pique my curiosityā¦
Never thought of watching Prison Break ever, no to Orange is the New Blackā¦. So NOT my thing, Iām perplexed for rating this a 10ā¦. š³ I only have like maybe ten 10sā¦.. š¤
P.S: I always knew Lee Kyu Hyung was a solid actor but Loony is my absolute most favourite character hereā¦. He is just sooooooo funnyā¦. sucha talented and detailed actor. Nuanced, multi-dimensional⦠I loved every aspect of the series, from the romance, to comedic moments to bromance, to slice-of-lifeā¦. I found everything to be perfect.
Am I the only one liking this more than the first one?
I didnāt enjoy NiF1 at all although it was a very intricate revenge/scheme and yes I admit Hu Geās performance was enchantingā¦.
I thought NiF2 was REALLY good. I was surprised at how good it was. I found the themes + characters a lot more multi-dimensional, relatable and meaningfulā¦. There is also a lot of philosophies/important lessons in life woven into the plot.
Anyone can tell me is it worth to watch? I might even watch the Sequel in the past as a kids but i dont remember…
Same here!!! I watched it as a kid and canāt remember most of the plotā¦.
I would say worthy remake⦠I watched with 0 expectations (and close to no memories)ā¦. Because I looked at the cast list and felt ambivalent about some of the cast⦠only 50% convincedā¦. Turned out pretty good, basically in-line with the MDL scoreā¦
Wot I would say isā¦. The whole romantic theme/plot is kinda dated AND the pacing - would say āthere is room for improvementā, the āslowā dialogue/screenplay doesnāt match up to the intense + emotional moments. So itās kinda frustrating, BUT after giving it a bit more thought⦠itās actually a pretty philosophical original plot but lacking in sophistication/finesse/progression because times are different now on the notion of romanceā¦. Would probably also been better if it was 40 episodes.
O wow⦠Esther Yu in a super serious role without the whole cute voice + expressionsā¦. The first for me⦠I like her with the dark vibe, surprisingly it actually kinda suits herā¦.
I don't think Tushan Jing had not broken his promise with Xiao Yao. He knew he was set up and felt confused about…
Oh Yeap. A very important lesson for both young men and women actually.
Iām not so sure Jing is a gullible personā¦. Because unlike some of the other dramas, his character is actually very smart here. So heās actually quite a capable person, can read the room etc. so more than gullibleā¦. I realised that wot is more important in life isā¦.. there is a difference being nice vs being kind. Itās very important to be a kind and good person, but a person should never be too nice or always niceā¦. And Jing is nice to everyone all the timeā¦ā¦ that is a disaster waiting to happen. For himself and the people around him. In a way, that is being unkind as time goes by or as things accumulate.
Did you watch Story of Ming Lan? Another poster below commented on how Jing is similar to one of the characters in Love like the Galaxyā¦

Oh yea man. So so true. And even until now like recentlyā¦. He asked me to pass her a piece of expensive jewelleryā¦. As a gift. My auntās reaction was priceless. My aunt gave me a lecture on how a womanās life can be ruined by a man when she makes the wrong choice and how dumb it isā¦so the gift also got given away. She had enough. Like the man really knows this whole romance thing, wot to say, wot to do etc. š¤¦š»āāļøš¤¦š»āāļø
I personally think he fits to be Ah Nian's husband
But donāt you think AāNian is actually sooooooo funnyā¦..? Sheās young, so her character and physical appearance will continue to change⦠but in due course, they would be befitting! I thought it was actually super funny when she got beaten up⦠and she NEVER had any malicious intent.
I don't think Tushan Jing had not broken his promise with Xiao Yao. He knew he was set up and felt confused about…
Exactly. I have an aunt who never got married because of this⦠hers was slightly different in the sense that the guy also promised her that he will get a divorce because there is absolutely no love/ emotion etcā¦. My aunt comes from a really good family so does the dude.. they are in their early 60s now⦠and surprise, surpriseā¦ā¦ he never got a divorce⦠and this dragged on for like ļ½25 yrs.
Itās honestly just wrong, and yes, also wrong for any female to take up on the promise.
I personally think he fits to be Ah Nian's husband
But donāt you think they are so funny tog?? Imagine if they got married, their life would be full of delight, fun and banterā¦. More importantly isā¦. They are āequalsāā¦. Like itās a balanced relationship⦠(I mean, status aside I spse⦠but AāNianās fam doesnāt care about status)
