Oh my gosh. Same!!! Although I haven’t finished it though, almost there. I have no idea why I finally decided…
Oh defo give it a go. It’s the same like Prison Playbook in the sense the 1st episode sucks you right in… like you don’t need to wait for plot build-up or character background etc. like my eyes was glued to the screen… by then you’d know if it’s your thing or not.
Oh my gosh. Same!!! Although I haven’t finished it though, almost there. I have no idea why I finally decided…
Of course! No way I’d drop. I didn’t really hear much but it always shows up on MDL search because of the really high score. I was interested in the cast actually. So Racket Boys is one whereby I’m not really into like the cast coz it’s too youth-based kinda thing. Unfamiliar faces….
I gave Hot Stove League a shot. It’s really very sports based BUT….. it’s worth watching esp if you work in a corporation/company. There are surprisingly loadsa similarities and analogies, I learnt a lot because it’s pretty relatable… Hurm….. I rated that lower because it was kinda a level/half-a-level lower… so the MDL score is reflective, it’s also less of an emotional rollercoaster, I didn’t cry at all (it also wasn’t comedic) but I can understand why it holds a high rating on MDL. Give it a go and drop if the baseball thing really turns you off, you’d know by the 1st episode.
The sports term and some of the dialogues are difficult to understand as I am not a sports person but still, I…
Yea same…. I don’t think one needs to be a fan/expert of baseball to love this series, even the terms/jargons were fine… but defo should understand how baseball works… i.e how to play the game, because everything else could have been deduced based on that. I had 0 idea on baseball, wasn’t the best idea.
😳😳😳 Mainland actually allowed SM scenes….. like wow…. Probably because it was shot in 2018… don’t think it’d pass censorship anymore… the autopsies + crime scenes were a lot more explicit versus C-dramas of similar genre…
Not too bad, I was intrigued because of how it was based on the first female forensic scientist in Mainland, Wang Xue Mei…. The acting is inconsistent, I.e different standards amongst actors casted and group chemistry is mediocre at best… production quality is acceptable… not too low budget but defo not high…. Only thing that kept me going is that this is based on actual cases - “ adapted from the real case”…. Watched it on the premise that all the cases are real-life cases… if so, they are really quite bizarre and very interesting…
After so many years, Idk why i decided to watch this but i am truly happy i did, this drama will forever hold…
Oh my gosh. Same!!! Although I haven’t finished it though, almost there. I have no idea why I finally decided to give it a go. Came across it so many times coz of the high rating on MDL…. Always was like “nahhhhhh”…. But never have I laughed and cried simultaneously so many times before this…..
It makes me wonder if I should give Hot Stove League a go… 🤔🤔🤔
I can’t believe that this is probably the best TV series I’ve ever watched…. I was sooooo skeptical when I started it and glossed over it so many times…. finally decided to give it a go just to pique my curiosity…
Never thought of watching Prison Break ever, no to Orange is the New Black…. So NOT my thing, I’m perplexed for rating this a 10…. 😳 I only have like maybe ten 10s….. 🤔
P.S: I always knew Lee Kyu Hyung was a solid actor but Loony is my absolute most favourite character here…. He is just sooooooo funny…. sucha talented and detailed actor. Nuanced, multi-dimensional… I loved every aspect of the series, from the romance, to comedic moments to bromance, to slice-of-life…. I found everything to be perfect.
Am I the only one liking this more than the first one?
I didn’t enjoy NiF1 at all although it was a very intricate revenge/scheme and yes I admit Hu Ge’s performance was enchanting….
I thought NiF2 was REALLY good. I was surprised at how good it was. I found the themes + characters a lot more multi-dimensional, relatable and meaningful…. There is also a lot of philosophies/important lessons in life woven into the plot.
Anyone can tell me is it worth to watch? I might even watch the Sequel in the past as a kids but i dont remember…
Same here!!! I watched it as a kid and can’t remember most of the plot….
I would say worthy remake… I watched with 0 expectations (and close to no memories)…. Because I looked at the cast list and felt ambivalent about some of the cast… only 50% convinced…. Turned out pretty good, basically in-line with the MDL score…
Wot I would say is…. The whole romantic theme/plot is kinda dated AND the pacing - would say ‘there is room for improvement’, the “slow” dialogue/screenplay doesn’t match up to the intense + emotional moments. So it’s kinda frustrating, BUT after giving it a bit more thought… it’s actually a pretty philosophical original plot but lacking in sophistication/finesse/progression because times are different now on the notion of romance…. Would probably also been better if it was 40 episodes.
O wow… Esther Yu in a super serious role without the whole cute voice + expressions…. The first for me… I like her with the dark vibe, surprisingly it actually kinda suits her….
I don't think Tushan Jing had not broken his promise with Xiao Yao. He knew he was set up and felt confused about…
Oh Yeap. A very important lesson for both young men and women actually.
I’m not so sure Jing is a gullible person…. Because unlike some of the other dramas, his character is actually very smart here. So he’s actually quite a capable person, can read the room etc. so more than gullible…. I realised that wot is more important in life is….. there is a difference being nice vs being kind. It’s very important to be a kind and good person, but a person should never be too nice or always nice…. And Jing is nice to everyone all the time…… that is a disaster waiting to happen. For himself and the people around him. In a way, that is being unkind as time goes by or as things accumulate.
Did you watch Story of Ming Lan? Another poster below commented on how Jing is similar to one of the characters in Love like the Galaxy…

Oh yea man. So so true. And even until now like recently…. He asked me to pass her a piece of expensive jewellery…. As a gift. My aunt’s reaction was priceless. My aunt gave me a lecture on how a woman’s life can be ruined by a man when she makes the wrong choice and how dumb it is…so the gift also got given away. She had enough. Like the man really knows this whole romance thing, wot to say, wot to do etc. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
