What’s up with Peng Guan Ying and all these jinxed ML characters he takes on….. I came here just to check…
Yeap. ☺️ Viewers would mostly remember his characters…. coz he was that good/intense in portraying them. 🤣 like for example I didn’t even watch the entirety of The Controllers…. I just watch clips here and there coz I liked the main actress as well (and I was curious), and boy….. was he intense….. 😳haha.
I’m going to skip this one altogether and wait for his next series (I had enough with Unexpected Falling, the 1st half was so damn good and when it ended I was left “?!?!?”)…. He is pretty talented…. So hopefully he will get a “normal” series soon, coz I certainly don’t want to watch some really crazy plot for the sake of an actor/actress.
Hello, I can’t access Viki in my region… sorry to ask but does this drama contain subtitles under Viki? 🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️This…
Ah! Thanks much for your effort. ❤️ hope they do it soon, the production is mid-high budget and is tastefully done….
It has some oddities on the romance side which might not suit younger viewers or the general crowd (one example: it kinda takes very real life modern day issues between 2 people to the more extreme/exaggerated end). However the slice-of-life bits and business themes are pretty solid esp. coz it goes into the P.R industry in relative depth. It’s actually very eye-opening/interesting.
Viki has added a channel and is seeking regional licensing.https://www.viki.com/tv/39738c-in-spite-of-the-strong-wind?qId=2f9d7ab8aebed4d769c0eb0b2499c942#aboutViki's…

This series is actually really good… at least 20 episodes in it still is, but my Mandarin proficiency is only at ~70-80%… ☺️

Ah, ok… then perhaps Peng Guan Ying is a little….. “luckier”… I don’t know if that’s considered lucky actually. Haha. Because his roles are usually more “complex”; manipulating people amongst other things….? Or like more “antagonist” type. However because of this, the range of emotions he has to express needs to be quite wide thus most viewers (and I suppose directors) can see that he is a talented actor.
Sadly, he doesn’t land any major series although he gets main lead roles… and he has already starred in a lot of series… ah, and those who are familiar with him as an actor realised that the series he stars in somehow starts off strong but then towards the end it becomes 50 shades of crazy. 🤣 with some weird-ass ending. Hence why I said he’s jinxed, coz if I count this it’s like the 3rd series in 3 yrs.

Yeap, the preceding ones were even worse…. It all started with the drama The Confidence…. Lol. And then Unexpected Falling… and then this…. 🤣 poor dude, totally jinxed… and obviously he played the role in The Confidence wayyy to well and I think he kinda got type-casted…
I found it on Myasiantv. I think the subs are okay, but as a non-Mandarin speaker I can't be positive.
Ok, same then coz I can understand spoken Mandarin relatively well so I actually didn’t stare hard at the subtitles… but it did honestly look more than acceptable when I was reading them. But I only watched 1 episode. Ooo, let me check wot The Long Season is again, sounds familiar.

Ah… ok… lol. Yea, it’s quite… fine… like really minor bits here and there but it’s almost goes unnoticed… I was thinking…. “MDL members have very high standards for the psychiatric medical terms…….? 🤔 but I haven’t even seen much medical terms yet….”
I don't remember much of S2 what's this Oddball project?????????
Lol. It’s apparently said that this folder is the basis for Season 3… and at the end of Season 2… it was the key for the MS (multiple sclerosis) diagnosis of Kim Sa Bu…. MS currently has no cure.

“ She also confessed her feelings for Woo-jin to him and the two have begun dating, but the most interesting part about the last episode is the 'Oddball Project'. The project currently consists of all the cases, diagnoses that Doldam Hospital has come across in the past year, which was unique in some form or other. It is an entry of all possible diagnoses for cases that might otherwise seem tough to crack, and armed with this, Kim Sabu forges a new path for Doldam Hospital.”
Is there gonna be a season 2, also the ending is like a open ending.
No idea if you are a big fan of the cast but if you are talking about the plot it’s based on Dao Mu Bi Ji novels/universe…. So they have a weird thing about recasting for every single “season”…. It’s basically a Mainland thing anyways….
They haven’t made plans to do TV adaptations for “Season 2” yet, likely because it’s actually meant to be the “finale” for the main novels. But am pretty sure the author will likely do so eventually coz he started his own production company.
Yeap, The Resident is not bad, but I am defo surprised it got extended for so many seasons. Yea, sad that C-dramas won’t. Dr.Tang started off so strongly though, gave me some hope 😇. And I checked, wow, the Douban ratings are high, but with low viewership.
Lol, fair point. I do think it sounds nicer than “Mary Sue”, lol why can’t it just be playgirls instead…. 🤣🤣🤣
I actually think the whole promiscuity is only gender biased in some countries in Asia (which I believe will remain so for another 1-2 decades, and in some countries probably forever….. 😔), in most Caucasian countries or in the West it kinda is quite equal already.
People, I have a question…. (although many months later…)
Is there a reason why all C-dramas NEVER everrrr show like “real” surgery/outpatient scenes? Is it because of censorship? Like is it a hard censorship regulation or are producers just avoiding it altogether because it could be potentially be disturbing/nauseating for some viewers…..?
Think part of the reason why the series kinda lost steam as it progressed was because it didn’t have enough technical material to work on although it started off pretty technical… and of course romance was never the primary focus so 36 episodes is just way too long in that sense.

Ok, thanks.
if… you remember any of that at all….. lol… 🤣🤣🤣
You don’t remember that folder thing in S2?
But according to the novel….. this is your “Season 3”:
