Think you should add Kris Wu to this list; he got convicted and sentenced.
Totally… and 13 yrs… wow… I was really impressed…. That it was fair albeit heavy-handed… but at least it was a “real” sentence… unlike the ones above… so I just realised Korean law sides with celebrities… 😒😒and chaebols as well I spse…
I watched this ages ago but only realised that there is 2 additional epilogue episodes released… like both were…
Haha. I know right… I liked it though because of the whole poison-medicine thingy. I thought it was kinda cool. But all the court politics arcs made me 🙄…. This is based on a novel, it was a HE in the novel… just I don’t know why the series did an odd double interpretation ending.

Lol. My favourite character is Guan Ge…. 🤣 because the main leads only have one theme…. Never ending misunderstanding and distrust…. Kinda ridiculous actually because it occurs from the start until the end… but ZZH only has a few notable/worthy works… 😔
Rewatching this after some time is such a treat…. I have to reiterate that the comedic script and performances of this drama was top-notch. It’s so natural, realistic and super damn hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣 It really offered up a good balance to the whole pacing of the drama because they did slot in a lot of realllllyyyy slow shots. Why can’t all C-dramas have this quality of humour….. I hate watching comedies coz most of the time I just stare at the screen and go…. “Wot on Earth are they doing………. 😒😒😒”
For once I actually love all the palace politics, it was quite refreshing and unique…. I don’t think every single woman in this world goes crazy with jealousy.
Sighs, how many yrs will I have to wait before I forget the details of this drama enough to rewatch again… ☹️
What? Really?... Better than TMOPB? and Love and Redemption? Hahaha! Wow, now I really must watch this, all 60…
I didn’t like Love and Redemption btw… I like a lot of Chang Chen’s works… I’m almost at the last episode now.
Ummm… I would say the storyline is perhaps the more realistic/believable one outta the 3 including EL and ELoD? But the execution is…. I’m still surprised Douban has like a 8.3 rating… so my only two complaints are that most of the side characters/supporting characters/side stories are weak including the supporting actors… so for this bit I think EL and ELoD was solid…. Another complaint would be the pacing/editing….. so it takes a while to get into the main couple because they intended it to be slow burn which I actually enjoyed… If you do complete the entire thing you’d end up really liking the main couple…. I have no regrets watching but I’m more towards MDL’s score… like it is a 8.4…
The material/plot is actually solid though, just….. they casted a mostly mediocre supporting cast and the editing/pacing could be better (like Ep 30-40 should just be about 3 episodes). It’s really unfortunate actually… and kinda a waste. Coz Chang Chen and NiNi ended up being so damn sweet and intense… I really like the development in NiNi’s character amongst other things.
yes, i was all the time impressed by his acting... Hope to see him more often in movies, dramas
Yea. I saw it, but then…… 🤔 I don’t know… kinda unsure about the cast…. Looks very commercial. I’d wait for a bit.
Think Bloody Romance is an acquired taste. A little strange, unconventional… carried by Wang Duo mostly. And the other two leads was also niche/different… I don’t remember the details of the plot BUT I remembered Wang Duo being superbly enigmatic.
I'm on ep 38 and this mortal world part is taking forever! They don't have much time together! When do they get…
Actually it’s just the whole Ep 30 to 40 which is really dragged out and over elaborated… could have been condensed to 3-4 episodes, it has been building up but gets pretty sweet around episode 40-41 already coz Jiu Chen is super into her by then.
The entire thing should have been 50 episodes, then it would have been perfect.
I have a conclusion… I think Chang Chen is really charming when he acts, and I realised over here they gave him a really weird hairdo. It kinda goes against his facial structure, making his head very oddly angled.
He needs something with a fringe, or at the very least not his hair tied-back and wound so tight. He is really masculine and good looking with modern hairstyle coz he always keeps a pretty long fringe.
PS - gosh, they have such realistic chemistry…. The most realistic romance line outta the Three World universe… awkward initially but by Ep 57 they are soooo cute, Jiu Chen is so sweet.

He was very impressive in Bloody Romance…. Have to say, all his well known works do have some form of typecast kinda character though… Yea, I like it that he’s not the typical Mainland commercial ML look…. He has a very distinctive face yet versatile, this is rare…
Exactly. Someone needs to cast him in lead roles. It seems his agent could not find him more great resources.…
Yea, but if he continues on this track, he will never be famous because there’s only so many times he can play something similar… and main leads usually comprise of protagonists… at some point he will need to leverage on his talents and play all sorts of roles so that he truly becomes a versatile actor. I think he can do it… just not given the chance.

He needs one like Gong Jun, a complex protagonist…. Borderline, ambiguous but ultimately a protagonist….. Gong Jun literally shot to stardom overnight after WoH….
Sighs. But stardom, popularity is down to fate/ luck…. So many artistes have the entire package but are never famous or some never even make it.
He really needs a good agent to start with.. coz I think he’s starting to be typed-cast… I’ve only ever watched him play complex antagonists. This is his 3rd released work that I’ve watched…. And as much as there are variations and he differentiates his performances in each of them…. All of them fit into one category; a complex antagonist.
