Title Burning Flames Spoiler
Can someone tell me what's the matter with bai cai evil spirit? Is she really hei long lover? Or his daughter…
I think it was just the consciousness of her glory crystal becoming corrupted by the evil high priestess

I have watched most of Ren Jialun's work.I started watching this without any expectations as I know nothing about the story it is inspired from. But I did not expect to be so disappointed and bored.
The drama could be cut in half if they had shortened the villain's speeches and the heroes' speeches and focused on the actual fights, and if dying people didn't take half an hour to deliver one final speech. I felt like I was watching 90's anime or a mmorpg dungeon/raid, and I fastforwarded through many such scenes.
The ML seemed flat and one-dimensional.I felt more emotion from Ren Jialun's character in A Thousand Years For You-and he was accused of having the emotional range of a stone there.I did not care one bit about Wu Geng, from the beginning you can guess that even if he dies, he will always be brought back through some plot device.
I agree with those that complained about hearing "A Gou" waaaay too many times that it made the poor Bai Cai very annoying. But I think Xing Fei has matured from her Miss Crow and Mister Lizard days, and I quite liked her evil episodes.
The main villain's story was not given proper time and attention, so again,I felt nothing for his struggle and motivation.
The costumes were very nice, and the soundtrack is ok.
Unfortunately I can only give it a 6.5,as I think it has no rewatch value.

I rarely start modern dramas, but I saw a short that intrigued me, started it for the sci-fi description, got hooked by the story and acting of the main leads. At some point, I realised it wasn't what I initially thought at all, and I absolutely loved that about it. Finally a story that is unpredictable enough to keep you interested till the end. The romance was just perfect, it evolved at such at a natural pace. Looking forward to seeing more like this. Congrats to the whole team behind this drama.

Finally finished this after fast skipping through the last ten episodes. My God, what a huge let-down. It started so strong with great funny scenes, great friendships, good character growth, only to turn into the sloppiest soap opera I've ever seen with the stupidest "unexpected" plot twists, infinite character deaths and resurrections and a moronic ending to top it all off. The only redeeming point is the soundtrack, which is actually really good. I am really sorry for the actors, they deserved a better script.

It was really good I just must have missed something at the end. What did she do/what happened to make all the…
I know nothing about the manga or anime, but to me it looked like she didn't just enter the dream/spiritual world, but that she dragged the entire place and everyone there into it, making the insects inside the spirits of the people infected visible, and distinct from them, so that's why they were able to cut them leaving the physical bodies intact.

Started watching this and came here to say that Cheng Yi is truly a gift to chinese dramas. I just love watching…
I am not a fan of him, nor of any of his other dramas(I did like Love and redemption, though), but I just have to say he was absolutely brilliant in this, and the chemistry with all his co-stars was just off the charts amazing.

As a member of the audience mentioned earlier, I must say I do not want any love kissing scenes. I want a good story and great complex characters. I think all Ren Jia Lun's dramas are different just as his chemistry with his female partners, and he brings so much nuance to each and every character he plays, and after seeing his latest, Twilight, although at first I was a bit afraid because of his performance, I ended up loving Qi Lianshan . As for Demon Hunter's Romance I was so looking forward to it, that trailer let us glimpse such a subtle but rich performance from all actors, and the lady director's way of guiding the actors and the people behind the camera looked so different, and the colours and manner of filming stood out. I really hope they manage to release it.

I really wish people stopped coming to this page and dropping useless comments about them not watching Ren Jialun's dramas because of him not kissing. We get it.Nobody is forcing you to.I have not seen any such comments on other actors' pages for the same thing(like Neo Hou for Back from the Brink).I have not gone to Li Hong Yi' page to write how much I dislike his acting or lack of talent(I found him so wooden and lacking expressions in Blood of Youth,it was like watching a robot or heavily botoxed man whose only redeeming quality was his handsomeness). So go watch your favourite types of dramas with your favourite actors who are not Ren Jialun, stop coming here to throw dirt and let's all live in peace .Thank you.

I don't hate RJL but if I'm in a mood for romance drama, maybe wont pick one that he's in. LOLI've watched 2.5…
I really liked his dual natured character in Love A Lifetime(my second favourite RJL drama)-but please have patience with the first ten episodes,as I understood from some interviews, they were forced to drastically cut the drama episodes to half,as a result the first ten or so episodes felt like a madman's cut and pasted together fragments. But it does get better, the story will start to make sense,I really liked the chemistry of the characters and the soundtrack is very good. Also,Never Say Goodbye features him in another role with two personas.Give them a try.

they should change his photo to that of his character in Rebirth for You, he looks quite unusual and striking there.

Can he just stop doing Romance. He clearly has a problem with kissing scenes in Romance shows. I don't watch romance…
I can understand your and many other people's point of view on this, but after watching decades of hollywood films turning more and more pornographic,I can honestly say I absolutely love Chinese dramas for this aspect.Plus, after falling in love with Ren Jia Lun in Blue Whisper, and then binging most of his other dramas,I just have to praise him-for me,any of his almost-kisses is sexier than anything else they could show.
