Just started this as the plot involves a hidden rich guy and a swimming /sports set up ,which is quite refreshing Ep 1 started very well with the back story and some of Hai Fei' antics to pass himself off as a "poor but promising " young man were downright hillarious. The leads esp the female lead are easy on the eyes as well. Will try to see where it goes.
Finished this one in a binge ! Never thought would like a Taiwan Romcom drama this much. The theme is quite old.-school friends enemies who encounter each other in their new lives and their situation has changed a lot.He has changed from a lazy youth to a responsible company Vp and she has changed from the school topper to someone who helps her mom run a clothes shop in a small market. He bails her out in a tough situation and she thinks it is for some sadistic payback but the truth is quite something else! I have never seen Bruce Hung in anything earlier and here he plays the Male lead superbly-really good in the school portions. Amber Ann has a unique charm and their chemistry together -when it sparks really lights fireworks! The show also has excellent second/third leads with well fleshed characters .There are sensitive topics dealt with quite well. The final episode and its revelations are highly emotional and many things start making sense . This show also has one of the most satisfying endings ! A special word of praise for the OST -Eric chou has the best songs and his "Nobody But me"will be in my playlists for days to come. Was facing a Kdrama slump and this wonderful show was a great pick me up !
Just started this based on the synopsis and this is turning out to be awesome.Really like the backstory and the overall feel of the show.Good production values. Great leads esp.the Male lead.Liking the OST too..
Had just started this and now am finding the FL ends up with Lee Sang Woo's character ! What is the point of then setting up the romance in the beginning with Joo Sang Wook???? It was the best pair IMO Bailing out on this now, though it has a superb set up and a great looking story.
Bad Guys,Vampire Prosecutor,38 Task Force and now My Fellow Citizens-this writer has sure written some of my fave Kdramas.. Superb cinema type and smart TV show writing!
When Jung Gook chased the middleman, and got hit in the privates? What an obstruction to a smooth move.
True.It looked like he was executing one smooth action move. The aftermath "Chase" that followed is one of most hillarious things I have seen in a long time.
Started this as really like Jung So Min in her recent dramas and she is really good here.Cant say the same about the drama though-looks like it belongs to an entirely different era with its SLOW pace and a Male lead which made me wish for the first time that the FL doesnt end up with him due to his rotten behavior Looks like I'll avoid Japanese manga adaptations for a while
Ep 13/18 was one of the most hillarious Kdrama eps I had seen in a while..Just couldn't stop laughing seeing that "Chase" and at the end when Park Hoo Ja realised what Jung Gook has ended up doing !
Am not sure why is Kim Young Kwang doing these sort of standard romcoms !He should have moved on to more intense roles post last year's Lookout (which he was fantastic in!)
Am trying to watch this as slowly as possible as Mon and Tuesday doesnt come fast enough ! Just finished Ep 12 and found it really satisfactory.Am glad to see a writer not delaying plot with filler stuff and actually expanding the story properly. Am really happy that my faith in Han Sang Jin basically being a good guy paid off -was getting awkward/troublesome seeing him being pushed into darker side in the recent episodes. He retains the grace and goodness he started off with. Now that Jung Kook is finally the assemblyman ,I expect a lot of exploits in political world from him.Would be really glad if this show gets a LONG extension(or maybe a season 2) There never may be another drama like this for a long time and we deserve a lot more of the other characters as well. Choi Si Won may never get another perfect lead role like this one and he and the role are made for each other .
I think whats wrong with secretary kim was the best when it came to not having a love triangle, yes I know that…
Agree.WWSK dealt quite well with the triangle part and didn't burden the show with it.This show, however, has the only weakness as the triangle -guess they need to fill the eps with some conflict. Still,it was a different story and the next few eps may justify what has happened so far.
Glad I didn't drop this after 2 eps. This just kept getting better and better.Have completed ep 9/16 and this show is a genuine case of how appearances can be deceptive. Kim Jae Wook progressively impresses with each ep.With WWSK it was a case of Park Min Young's secretary Kim being a more dominant (even acting wise) but here it is a traditional rom com and KJW is superb as the leading Man.The nuanced expressions are superb throughout.PMY plays the female lead effortlessly. What I didn't like that much was how the male second lead acted to thwart Ryan-Deuk Mi couple -it almost harks back to old kdrama territory. Another aspect of this show-the fangirling -was quite fresh-it has been used as a trope sparingly in other kdramas but here we have a female lead whose BIG secret is that she fangirls! The songs,BGM are awesome and keep growing on me. Really looking forward to the final leg of this show.!
A solid hit out of the park! Seo In Guk is plain awesome in both his roles.Great doses of comedy, drama and romance. One of the best twin impersonation shows out there Awesome music as well-"As life goes on " by Jung In really grew on me.
