I ,for one ,want one fantasy drama to end well after being burned by all the last hyped fantasy dramas/big budget dramas.

Really it does esp.when you hear it playing in the Director Ji Kang Woo backstory

Am upto ep 14 now and am not seeing all the issues you have mentioned so far.Maybe it does go downhill later.
Till now,am seeing a well written and directed fantasy themed drama after a long time.L has been a surprise package for me in this and exceeded expectations and his OTP with shin Hye Sun (Brilliant as usual) is really good.Lee Dong Gun is also pretty impressive.The Villians are one low point of this show (Healer was superb in that part)
It really helps that the show has a collection of AWESOME OST Tracks. "Stay" by O When ; "Pray" by Klang and "In your Light" by Fromm are super faves right now

Really?He was one of the major reasons I kept watching that show..But different tastes,I guess !

I absolutely loved 30 but 17 and am holding getting on this since it is in the fantasy genre-no one knows how it will end !

"Stay" by O.When is my new fave OST. The instrumentation is fabulous in this !

My typical grouse with many recent kdramas has been they dont show enough scenes of the leads-this one seems to be doing well on that count !

Thanks for the reply and while I agree the times were bad in old times for poor people but still I have seen saeguks where peasants were the oppressed class but none of them were so "in your face" at the start of the show like The crowned clown.Two examples are Iljimae and The Rebel which too had terrible things happening but they gave you space to breathe..
One thing that maybe worked in their favor was the higher number of eps they had and that they were vigilante dramas.
What happened here was that I just gave up on the show -cannot keep playing with your stress levels however well acted the show is..

I'm ROFL with this comment.On a serious note, the lead characters do have some likeability in them.They are in a fantastic situation and their characters grow a lot

Am at Ep 5 and there is literally too much murdering going on!
The levels of blood in this show are rivalling Gaksital /Bridal mask which I was forced to leave due to its bloody torture scenes
Aside from that ,quite an intriguing show

Any drama of Jung Kyung Ho is worth checking out..This one esp has a strong redemption arc in place.
Hope it has a happy ending (inspite of the "Melodrama" tag) and also a dash of romance (which is absent from the tags)

Just started watching this and am hooked after the first episode.This is a show made with a lot of assurance and the story is fascinating with the right dose of thrills ,comedy and potential romance.
Am seeing from the comments the show is being hated on by a lot of folks and had kept off due to this reason-seems you can never replace personal viewing by any number of views /comments. The show works very well for me
Looking forward to completing this now

I have high Hopes for this as S Korea makes great politics based dramas-eg.Daemul,Assembly.
Plus it is on Netlfix !
