They haven't been released yet. The Glory is "inspired" by one of her novels but they changed so many things that it's best to view it as a separate work.

I'm not a fan of her mother or the supposed "loving mother/daughter" relationship. As you watch more eps, you'll realise she had zero interest in her daughter. She's obsessed with revenge and has no issues dragging everyone down with her. Terrific acting by the actress though.

It's fine. Everyone has different opinions. CDL is still a relatively new actress so her acting isn't as mature as others but XYL is also too low-key in scenes that are supposed to be dramatic which is why I suspect the director's instructions.

Too little plot actually because the past isn't as mysterious or dramatic as the scriptwriter wants us to believe. But yes, it's unlikely they'll introduce a new character so late.
