Even if he is revealed to be the ultimate villain in the end, it's going to be meaningless if he can't keep his job or ensure his family line continues. I suspect it's the scriptwriter not covering all bases here.

It's unrealistic that a simple maid would talk like this in front of a whole gathering of officials. Hard to suspend disbelief here even if it makes for a good dramatic scene

ML's habit of answering a question with a question is beginning to wear thin. If you want people to trust you, you have to give them a little trust too. Or else you paint yourself as a villain in their eyes.
