Somebody who read the novel, said the make-up artist was a former classmate of Nine and Third. So maybe Nine did something to him too. But DMD said that they would chance some things that were in the novel, so who knows.

Yes Renji has the video, yet instead of showing it to his boss, because he’s still under the same company as Wan, he shows it to his brother for laughs and taunts. That tells me that Renji’s priorities aren’t on Wan or protecting the company he’s under. His priorities are something entirely different, that makes him unreliable in my eyes. Why send it for example to Third but not to Wan, who clearly needs to evidence to prove his innocence and if in case the other company goes to court.

I agree, don’t get why he didn’t send it to Wan, the one who is in the same company as him, the one who could be sued (indirectly) if the other company goes to court. It doesn’t make sense how he first “shows” Wan how Nine feels about him when they were still in the hallway or closet, after the interview where Noth said they wanted to make Wan big. Maybe he did send it to Wan, but Wan just hasnt said anything yet.

If I’m being honest I feel a bit disappointed in Third, he wasnt thinking at all. Probably guilt from what his mother did, but I personally wouldn’t have given a damn. He could’ve at least talked to Wan about having a video. I don’t know if it’s DMD trying to create drama to make the series last longer, or if it was actually in the novel, because this move seems such a 180 when it comes to Third’s character.

Can’t believe Third actually fell for Nine saying he’ll leave Wan alone, like seriously? Nine feels that he’s career is being threatened, he won’t stop until Wan quits (or is forced to quit) acting. He’ll just be more careful and sneaky about how he treats Wan, he got a shock because it was filmed and than tried to do damage control, but he didn’t learn his lesson. The same way he wasnt punished after what he did to Third when they were still at high school. He’s thinks he’s invincible, above the law. That behavior won’t just change after a fright, it’s his personality, he knows if he just acts remorseful, sad, small, traumatized, he can get his way, or can get away with thihgs.

Even though I understand Third, I wish he had shared it on social media, you know Nine wouldnt have hesitated if it was dirt on Wan or Third. Personally if it was me, I would’ve said no I won’t delete it, I won’t share it on social media, but if you ever do anything to wan or me again, I’m sharing it, consequences be damned. That way you still have some leverage, now you have nothing!

And Sunny is honestly just as ridiculous, “she warned him”, little late don’t you think. She already knew Nine tried to drown Wan, she should’ve stepped in then and there. Instead of doing some self reflection, she lectured Third.

I haven’t seen any of the more recent DMD shows, so I can’t judge entirely fair. Mr Fanboy is the first in a very long time that I want to watch the entire series and actually finish watching it. Last Thai BL I completely watched was Reset. I tend to watch JBL, KBL and CBL.

I’m holding out hope that DMD isnt like Gmmtv, who apparently can’t have series with a bad ending or without any redemption arc’s for the baddest characters. I barely watch Thai BL anymore because of that reason.

Are we supposed to feel sorry for Nine? Because I sure ass hell don’t! Don’t treat your partner like that, don’t become physical violent when you can’t handle your partner spitting facts! Don’t act all scared and sad when you just want to manipulate your partner into doing your dirty work!

If Nine is going to get some kind of redemption arc, I’m going to riot!!

That is true, I personally would’ve screamed the entire time until somebody came, because they were all close by enough to come running when Nine jumped in. But I’m much older then Wan. Like I said it was needed, for Wan to snap out of whatever parasocial mindset he was.

I know Wan being on that platform above the pool and everything that happened afterwards was needed to make him see through Nine indefinitely. But dear god the amount of alarm bells that would’ve been going of for me would be enough to not make me go up there alone. Like nobody is there to see what was happening (except for lucky Time), above a pool, while Wan couldnt swim that good yet, with a guy whose already proven to have it out for him. It’s just a disaster waiting to happen, I wish he was more intuned in that, but I know he’s very innocent, young and naive.

Also I was hoping for a wall ripping scene but with how calm Wan was I didn’t really think we would get it. I felt so much satisfaction knowing it happened, but seeing Wan break down because of it was heartbreaking to see.

Love that we got that small happy scene with Tird and multiple kisses, we needed that after that stressful situation!

Found this quite boring, I don’t really care that there wasnt a lot of romance. But the series just felt off, the time traveling vicious sister has too many scenes, which makes it feel like she’s ths FL instead of the 2FL. At times the series is slow yet the ending was extremely rushed. The vicious mother never gets punished or regrets how she treated her daughter, she makes all this noise and fuss next to her vicious daughter yet silently slips away during one of the fights, never to be seen again.

Renji also doesn’t belong to the company that Time, Nine and Third are under. Nine can easily put pressure on his/their manager while the manager of Renji/Wan has already shown he’ll go the extra mile for them.

He works hard to get to where he is. If working hard is sleeping with the director to get main roles, then sure he worked hard. How else could he become so popular in only 2 years?!

Or nine pushed him of the platform, knowing that Wan isnt a great swimmer and Third saves him (again) from drowning. I definitely see Nine use the excuse that Wan slipped, seeing as he used the excuse that Wan fell while he pushed him. Like why else would Nine invite Wan for a talk on those jumping platforms. Either to create an accident (make it seem Wan pushed him) or to fake an accident (Nine pushing Wan)

I felt so bad for Time during this episode. The fact that his managers aren’t pushing him into the crowd/fanmeet. Or pushed him into also being present for the interview too, instead they completely forget about him, is quite sad to see. His managers should be doing a better job with him, instead their focus is only on Nine (Third is more of a must it seems)

I find it especially frustrating knowing that Wan was actually very responsible about his parents debt. He raised around 200.000 in a couple months, when he came to the company to sign the contract the debt was still 500.000 where it started with 700.000. It’s such a 180, him not taking it seriously at all.

No I understand, I felt the same frustrations surrounding him. My friend had to hear me rant about it, but i thought about it for a while and now I kind of have mixed feelings. I think the company could do a lot more to help Wan, they seem to forget that Wan is a rookie, that they plucked of the streets, he didn’t have any passion for acting and only wanted to do it for the money. They should’ve hired him a personal acting coach or got him some acting lessons. Instead Cher took him to that masked ritual guy for whatever reason. Same with Wan doing the photoshoot for the series, they couldnt have done a mock-up photoshoot and told him the do’s and dont’s. Personally I think Cher deserves to be chewed out more because it was her responsibility to take care of him and she didn’t. She was indirectly at fault for Wan turning up late at the acting coach, she couldve just send him the location or brought him there first and then handled whatever needed to happen. It was Wan being late that gave others such a bad impression of him.

I think the acting coach had it in for Wan the moment he showed up late. I think if Wan was on time, the acting coach might have reacted differently to him, maybe the same way as to how he reacted to Renji.

Having said, Wan couldve done a lot more then what he did. His sister had the novel where the series is based on already at home, even before the auditions. Even in the beginning of episode 3, you see him have a night of and instead of reading and memorizing his lines, he’s busy admiring the new merch he got. Wan couldve tried looking up ways how to do certain things, he could’ve put in more of an effort to learn. He could’ve talked to Renji, to Cher, asked for tips or tricks. Him laughing it off and being all jokey about not reading the script was mind blowing, especially knowing that he’s taking up time that other people could use.

He has moments of clarity and moments where he just doesn’t seem to think about the consequences. His sister seems more mature then Wan, even though Wan is the older one, she pointed out that if he breaches his contract he needs to pay 2 million back. Thats a huge amount.

Half way through episode 3, youll see him get more serious about all of it. Usually Third is with him when that happens.

By episode 3 and 4 Wan is being more responsible, Third does help him a lot, but Wan does take things more serious (especially in episode 4). I felt the same way about Wan, but also rationalized it with he’s still young, a rookie and has a manager (Cher) that isnt really doing her job that well. He’s still quite naive though.

Thank you for the recommendations but I’m not that fond of anything horror, tried Khemjira and practically screamed my neighbors awake. And I hate anything too religious. But I’ll put Love Upon a Time on my to watch list. Thank you ♥️

As somebody who hasn’t watched any Thai BL for about a year now (last complete watch was Reset), this one is quite good.
