You definitely jumped right into a heavy dramatic series with The Journey Of Killing You, but indeed it was quite good. Loved the chemistry between the male leads.

My Personal Weatherman (couple has kind of a Dom/sub understanding), My Beautiful Man season 1 and 2, 10 Things I Want To Do Before I Turn 40, The Proper Way To Write Love, Smells like Green Spirit (it’s a bit heavier, beautiful coming of age series), A Man Who Defies The World Of BL (saw the first 2 seasons, but recently season 3 and 4 are also out), Old Fashion Cupcake, Sugar Dog Life, Mr Unlucky Has No Choice But To Kiss, Perfect Propose, Takara’s Treasure, My Love Mix-up (Japanese version), When It Rains It Poors (it’s a bit heavier and cheating happens).

Most series you can find on Viki, iQIYi or Viki. Smells Like is maybe on your Netflix (if you have that) I had to watch it through different means. Japanese series really depend on how they “fall” with people, some like it some don’t. My Personal Weatherman is an all time favorite of mine, Punk Triangle is probably going to be added to that soon. Possibly also Therapy Game. My Beautiful Man is really a coin toss, some find the ML a creep and a stalker but I found it a funny series. I don’t know which JBLs you have so far tried.

Yes I agree, I’ve tried the Wattpad versions of Desire and Revenged Love and they were bad, very AI generated. White Lotus also give explanations as to why they those for certain translations, explains certain Chinese sayings etc. I like their translations. I’m still looking for a good RL translation.

translation isnt completely done, they are about half way done, the translator uploads daily. And they did the translation of Abo Desire perfectly (also on the website). The title of the novel is Four Faced Buddha.

The most realistic and mature reaction so far when it comes to the second couple. I also agree with that opinion. I didn’t find it realistic how GT and SWL in the novel get together in the end, so many misunderstandings, miscommunication, lies or withholding from the truth, it’s hard to even imagine them working that out.

Fully agree with your reaction. I’ve kind of given up on Thai BL, there are very small exceptions, Reset was my last Thai BL series I watched completely, I probably would’ve liked Khemjira but I’m not a fan of horror, ghosts, undead, etc. So far the CBL series have given me so much satisfaction and if I want to watch fluff or just a cute series I watch JBL. Love how CBL is giving us mature adult drama, without holding back on the toxicity.

The reason was not specified. And I agree, even before reading the novel (which isnt completely done yet, so I only know so much), just seeing those two episodes, I felt like Zhen was the one who folded first or the one who was easily swayed by other people. I also don’t know if it really was love for Shulang, he has a hard time letting people in. Their relationship is flawed and even without Fan flaming the fire, the relationship probably wouldn’t have lasted. It is Zhen who starts pulling away though, not Shulang, he stays loyal, even though there is a lot of tension between Fan and him. And Fan has no problem edging the line between them, sometimes even stepping over the line, but Shulang is quite clear in his boundaries.

I haven’t finished the novel yet, because the translation is only half way done, but there have been moments where YS is not innocent either. I do think that FX will push him to be more himself, less with a mask on but truly how YS is. They both have trauma. The opening chapter did mention that YS will beat up FX at some point.

Because he is a homophobe. This novel/series is not for the faint of hearts, if you didn’t like or hated Hua Yong from Desire, you absolutely will not like Fan Xiao, because he’s toxic as hell.

I personally don’t but if read parts of the novel, I do like to see a good throuple or Poly. But I’m not expecting that from Chinese BL, seeing as they are already towing the line with the current BL’s. For now it seems even Thai BL doesnt want to take on a good Throuple or Poly series, so for know this is all we have.

How about you listen to those who actually read parts of the translated novel, instead of a AI software that is known to make mistakes. No FX never liked LZ. He just flirted, acted like he liked LZ to sow discord in the relationship between LZ and YS, which he succeeded in. LZ is very much a materialistic person, being spoiled with gifts, flowers, acts of services etc, made him feel good, loved, spoiled, etc.

The relationship between LZ and YS is flawed, LZ very much feels like he doesn’t know nor understand YS, can’t be himself even after 2 years of them being together. YS is a very closed of person and has trouble with letting people in because of past traumas, including LZ. FX giving attention to LZ only makes those flaws more clear.

The novel made it very clear that FX has no physical reaction to LZ, which at first he doesn’t understand because they are both men. The novel also makes it clear that FX finds LZ an boring annoyance. So again no, FX doesnt like LZ! The only one FX ever liked is and was YS, he sees LZ more as a trouble that he has to remove to get to his goal, which is YS.

In the novel FX is straight, starts out straight. So during the whole fender bender FX finds YS boring, not interesting. He lets YS go with the intention of never seeing YS again, I think the crashing into YS was more a little payback for making him late for the meeting. But then that hospital moment happens and he changes his mind, like FX said, they were closer, more open towards each other.

Slowly FX starts noticing YS more and more, starts realizing his body is responding to YS, notices that his minds starts to be occupied with YS. Starts feeling dominant over YS, wants to have him, make him his and only his, wants to bite him, wants to break him, wants to dominate YS.

FX is homophobic, like he said in episode 2, he’ll make derogative comment. I don’t want to give away to many spoilers but FX tries things but than realizes his body only responds to YS. So yes we can say that he doesn’t accept or understand same sex relationships.

FX isnt a good guy, but YS can handle him.

Reading the novel now. This series is going to make people mad, like mad mad, it’s definitely not for the faint of hearts. If you thoughts Hua Yong was bad, than you are in for a surprise.

Sometimes series are being systematically downvoted, Desire started out at 8,3. In this case also a lot of the second couple fans weren’t happy with the ending for the second couple, so they voted lower. Sadly sometimes series get systematically downgraded, for various reasons. It tends to not be a glitch.

I do too, she has some very rose-colored glasses on her. But her parents gets her hidden, uneducated, naive, I do hope she’ll grow a backbone, but for now she only annoys me.

Somewhere around episode 12 or 13, I think. It’s early on, I’m at ep 17 and she knows. Also the princess so far hasn’t got a backbone.

So the princess fell in love with the enemy on a few seconds? Doesn’t she realize that if the prince of Zhennan had known who she was, he probably wouldn’t have let her go. She would’ve been a good bargaining tool, nice hostage and all, if he had let her live. She’s really naive, but with parents like hers I can’t really blame her for her naivety.
