I'm sorry but when i saw some people compare this to to my shore ,it made me laugh š
Itās ridiculous to even compare series to each other. I donāt see people do that when it comes to Thai BLs, I donāt see people say in comments on the page of Reset that Khemjira was better. Why compare those series? Because they are both Chinese series?
Also comparing To My Shore to Desire is like comparing apples to oranges, they are both extremely different series. Just enjoy the series, give your compliments, you can leave a positive review without dragging another series down with it.
Finally somebody who has the same opinion of me when it comes to Lu Zhen. Canāt stand how he runs back to Shulang when things get rough. Like dude you wanted this, you accepted all the gifts greedily. He put expectations and assumptions on those and he broke up the relationship for a stranger who gave him gifts, without ever mentioning that said person actually liked him. If it wasnāt Fan Xiao but somebody else who spoiled him, he wouldāve done the exact same thing. Heās not some victim or baby that needs protecting, he made his bed, now he can lie in it. If the relationship was solid Lu Zhen wouldāve never accepted the gifts, wouldnāt have cancelled plans with Shulang, wouldnāt have pulled away from Shulang, wouldnāt have swayed.
How is the writing bad? Itās addictive, with a good plot and strong acting. If you watch episode 8, the acting…
Do you though? Because if you understand why he is traumatized and has become a very complex character, you would understand why he does this. For me he actually makes a lot of sense, but you have to be willing to look beyond whatās on the surface.
people throwing out the term red flag like it's on sale. Saw some comments which stated FX is a black flag and…
I agree. I personally feel like the whole red flag, black flag descriptions of characters are downplaying the complexity that said characters have. FX has his reasons why he behaves and reacts like that. But sadly I see it to often when we have a series with a very complex and intriguing character, people only look at what is on the surface and barely see beyond that. FX was made like that, by having his mother die in front of him, being helpless, having been tormented by his brothers, silenced by his family, father who doesnāt care if heās around, being abandoned. Heās known nothing but torment, heartbreak, sadness, pain and probably anger. Over time that hardened him, to say oh heās just a red or black flag downplays the complexity that is FX. YSL is a decent human being who reacts when you push him to far, which is normal.
dont get me wrong, the series is good. but i dont understand why people are saying this is peak? sure it has decent…
I have to agree. Some are comparing it to Secret Relationship, I honestly donāt see that comparison. SR had me hooked, waiting every week for the two episodes, seeing the decent build up of absolutely unhinged characters, the acting, honestly for an 8 episode series they did an amazing job. But this? This series doesnt come close to it, donāt get me wrong itās good, but for me not good enough to be counting the hours of the day, waiting for a new episode. Maybe itās the nc scenes that pulls you away from the story, they did practically 20/30 chapters of the manhwa over these two last episodes. The passing is too fast and they skip a lot of moments in favor of NC scenes. If they really wanted to do this series justice they wouldāve done a 12 episode series, but thats probably not in the budget.
I don't like how JH is treating Iljo š. the brother had beaten him into a pulp and all JH did was ball his…
In the Manhwa, shortly after JH finds IJ, he absolutely beats him and a friend of that cousin to a pulp for what they did to IJ. I donāt know if they will show it in the next episode, it could be that they leave it out. JH redeems himself a lot more then those other guys you mentioned, but because of how short the series is not everythihg will be shown. So he might still be an AH to many, in the manhwa he was worse, but he did a 180 around half way through the manhwa, around the time the series is now at.
If people want a good coming of age series, watch Smells Like Green Spirit. Itās a Japanese series, 8 episodes, 30 minutes per episode. Donāt watch Heesu in Class, itās a straight washed series, with barely any BL elements! Honestly itās a joke to call this a BL!
Smells like Green Spirit dares (like a lot of other Japanese series) to be as realistic as possible, it hits taboo subjects. The series is set in the 90s. Give it a try, it will give you more satisfaction, then this ridiculous series!
Watched the first season a year or something ago and honestly BeomSeok is still my most hated character of all the series Iāve seen.
I still wish SE beat his ass, and yes I know violence doesnt solve anything but f* that. BS didnt regretted or felt sorry for what he did, if he did he wouldnāt have still blamed Yeong I for what happened.
And those people who say oh but he had such a bad childhood with his father, lots of people have the same shitty upbringings, yet they donāt resort to beating their supposed friends. They donāt turn their backs on the people who show them love and caring. We also all know that if it wasnt got BS rich daddy, he wouldāve been in jail for attempted manslaughter.
us bro us , what he did was bad but I will never hate on him
Excuse me? Did you miss the disgusting part where it was BeomSeok who actually beat SuHo in a coma? Not that he send some people to do it. After the fight where SuHo was already on the ground it was BeomSeok who started kicking him, the 2 other boys only helped because Bs started it. It was also BeomSeok who put out a hit on Suho, it was BeomSeok who also stood by while others beat Si Eun (breaking his arm) and cutting SuHo the breaks of his scooter. Yeah I can definitely understand how you canāt hate BS if you downplay everythihg he did.
Iāve been reading it here, it has smut but still censored at certain parts, certain below the belt part. š Donāt know if thatās the one you meant.
I want to watch this, omg!!! I hope it's good. Should I read the Manhwa first guys?
As someone who read the manhwa after episode 2, donāt read it, just watch and then read it. Iāve started to feel disappointed because they left some really good scenes out of the series, and it is necessary because there are only 8 episodes, 25 minutes each. They just canāt show everything. I would wait with reading the manhwa after the series is done.
They're cute but moving too fast. A toxic relationship turned into full-on fluff in span of one ep/25 mins! Jeonghan…
I do agree, but there are only 8 episodes and 25 each episode. The manhwa is 2 parts with 71 chapters. They do not have enough time to show everything. They are almost finished with the first part, this whole story has a timeline of about 3 years. The series is definitely rushed but they have to if they want to film both parts of the story. In the manhwa Il Jo leaving for example took about 2/3 weeks after Jeonghan told him to he shouldnāt leave, that he expected him home that night. The series made it seem like Il Jo just never came back to Jeonghanās apartment.
Ugh, so making problems out of nothing, sounds about right! Iām waiting for the day that they start realizing that what they are doing is actually hurting JL and their fandom. I find it a miracle NJ still have the patience to deal with that.
Itās supposed to be yes. The novel was made first, then came the manhwa, Iāve read the manhwa. So far I havent found a English translation for the novel.
Late to the party here...just getting started.Episode 1:Can someone help me out here? Please forgive my ignorance.…
Chinese dramas are almost always dubbed, usually itās because of the different accents actors have. Sometimes voices get dubbed or recorded again because of other sounds being picked up while filming scenes. There are different reasons for Dubbing, but yeah most Chinese series use it. Straight Chinese drama series are the same.
SWL learns that GT is an omega in episode 16.

@BeingAlone explains his character very well.
