Was the molesting storyline necessary??? dude. what?
Seeing as it was a big part of the novel, I can’t even imagine them leaving it out. This series isn’t for the faint of hearts, if you don’t feel comfortable, you don’t have to watch. I’ll say this though, if you didn’t like Hua Yong (Desire) you probably will not like Fan Xiao.
I expected this kind of reaction. But why are people expecting green flags from Chinese BLs. As if Chi Cheng didn’t…
If we go look even further there have been so many red flags, The Untamed had Wei Wuxian, Word of Hony had Wen Kexing, Meet you at the Blossom had Huai En. This ML isn’t the first toxic lead and won’t be the last. Like i said I don’t condone it, but I also can’t hide the fact that I like finally seeing mature, adult series, instead of the constant fluff Thailand is continually making and airing.
dropping the series asap because of the SA scene. i know insane fans will justify the male lead's behaviour &…
Please do, you don’t have to watch every series or every BL! Before this series even started there have been a lot of warnings that this series wasnt for the faint of hearts. I hope you find something that you like more.
I just finished ep 36 and my face is all red and puffy from all the ugly crying. Wen Kexing’s truth confession…
There is an episode 37 or not really a whole episode, but more like a small scene, which maybe helps you with your pain. I think it might be on YouTube. And yes he did say I Love You, but rumors have it, it was removed because of the censorship.
So let’s get one thing clear, I don’t condone what Fan Xiao did. But there has been multiple warnings from people here on MDL (who have for example read the novel), on social media even Gaga made a trigger warning in their social media pages that this episode was going to have non consensual scenes. Even before this series started multiple people (including me) have said, “hey this series is not for the faint of heart, if you didn’t like Hua Yong for what he did, you will not like Fan Xiao”. I think most on this page are not praising Fan Xiao, we just knew what to expect. Especially those who read the novel. I do think this MDL should have the non consensual or SA tag added on. So my question is did you not read those comments? Did you think it would be an exaggeration?
Episode 3At the end of the episode, Shu Yu Lang tells Fan Xiao that he has found out who drugged him, so is he…
So far I’ve read 48 of the 118 chapters, the rest is waiting to be translated. In those 48 episodes You Shulang has not yet found out about Fan Xiao. After You Shulang and Lu Zhen break up, Fan Xiao does kind of double his attention towards Shulang. According to the novel entry in the end it is a happy ending. But a lot of things happen, and Shulang will take revenge at some point. So I have not yet got all the answers to your questions.
Episode 3At the end of the episode, Shu Yu Lang tells Fan Xiao that he has found out who drugged him, so is he…
Yes it was in the novel and no You Shalung didnt found out it was Fan Xiao, but he found the guy who drugged him. Who was a friend of Shi Libua (guy who dropped unconscious You Shulang of at Fan’s house).
After reading parts of the novel, I really can’t stand Lu Zhen anymore. In the beginning I felt kind of bad and sympathetic towards him but not anymore. Even during the break up, he had to verbally kick You Shalung further down, it’s ridiculous really. And I do really hope they keep that entire exchange between You Shulang and Lu Zhen into the series. You Shulang deserved better, not saying that Fan Xiao is necessary better, but so far he at least treasure’s You Shalung a lot more.
Agreed! Even though Shulang is flirting back, he is very clear. He has said a couple times that Fan should keep…
I agree. From the two of them Lu Zhen is the one who really swayed, only good thing is Lu Zhen breaks up the relationship before anything really happened. But I hate the fact that Lu Zhen very easily could cancel plans, long lasting future plans with Shulang for somebody who he barely knows. And like Shulang said in the recent episode, anything he can give Lu Zhen he will.
Bro never cooked for his bf Bro cancelled the wedding plans for meeting some random dude he met the other day…
Agreed! Even though Shulang is flirting back, he is very clear. He has said a couple times that Fan should keep some distance and should stop with the “clingy stuff”, mentioned his partner a couple times. The same you cannot say about Lu Zhen. Even in episode 2 saying family instead of partner to Fan. When I was reading the novel my eyebrows flew up a couple times while reading those chapters, especially the part where Lu Zhen never cooked for Shulang, while here he is cooking for a guy, who never even said he liked him.
GagaOOLala just gave a trigger warning for the next episode of To My Shore, non consensual scenes. So those who don’t like it or are triggered by it, keep that in mind!
That’s an interesting question, but why do people want them to switch so much? Younger tops are actually very…
When Desire was still airing I saw somebody on instagram say that the series would’ve been better if “SSY was Top”, it’s all because of those stereotypes people hold on to. A Top has to be masculine and strong, while the bottom has to be small, feminine, preferably damsel in distress kind of character. It’s ridiculous really, that’s why I enjoy watching Eliot and Kipuka, they prove that the opposite is beautiful too.
i have a question. isn’t gay romance prohibited in china? how did they make this show? I remember all the drama…
This series has been able to be made because of certain loopholes. The series was a cooperation between China and Thailand and will not be airing in China, only international. That way it doesn’t fall under the censorship of China. There have been multiple BL series aired thanks to that loophole, most recent ones are Abo Desire (Omegaverse) and Revenged Love. Both you can find on GagaOOLala or Viki.
