It was very hard for me to get through the first two episodes, but then it got better. I thought the idea of superstar celebrity instructors was hilarious. The actors were good, but the scenes felt a bit forced. And there is something off about the main characters— I felt almost no chemistry. The storyline was a bit too extreme between crazy managers and abused workers and all the revenge. (I did like the part where he meets the family.) The filming and scenery were good and I liked the music, but I probably won’t re-watch. i feel like it’s a little overrated but I gave it 8.0.
I started watching the first few episodes while not sure what to expect. I soon found myself mesmerized. This feels almost epic. Everything about “The Long River” was excellent. The story, the really talented actors, the costumes, scenery, music—it was all done so well. The main leads were truly outstanding. I just finished 40 episodes but I want to go back and start it again because I know how much I’m going to miss it. I am shocked that there are so few viewers and it deserves a much higher rating. (I gave it a 10 /10.) I highly recommend this drama and hope that many more people will get to see it. Maybe it will get more attention on YouTube than Viki. I love romance and that’s usually what I look for, but I took a chance on this one and it was well worth it. I highly recommend that you watch it now if you’re looking for a new drama that you won’t be able to resist. PS While there is no romance, there is a very strong woman in the story and she does a remarkable job portraying her character!
I love historical dramas and several of them are mentioned in these comments. I also loved Yanxi Palace. But I have started watching this one (Ruyi’s Royal Love in the Palace) at least twice and I have not been able to get very far. 87 episodes does not phase me, but I am not sure I can take the angst of so many concubines backstabbing and fighting with each other and all for a stupid pampered emperor who is not worth it. For me, there has to be something like morally strong characters and an overall uplifting story to make it worth my time. Every now and then I think about trying to watch it again—maybe I’m missing something. Perhaps I’ll make it further if I try again.?
I started watching the first half of the first episode, and then I read the description above and was very disappointed that it gives away so many spoilers before I’ve reached that point in the drama. I don’t understand why the description would do that!m. It’s not like you can mark a spoiler and hide it!
MDL Shows this drama, Legend of Shen Li, as ending on April 5, 2024. Today is April 4 and viki is only on episode 32 (out of 39). So I’m guessing the show isn’t going to end for another week, on April 12? If I had known, I would have waited to start watching it. It is an excellent historical drama. I love the two main actors— they are perfect together! (They were even more perfect in the drama “Princess Agents.”)
OMG! I can’t believe that two of my favorite Chinese main leads (Zhao Li Ying _Zanilia Zhao and Lin Geng Xin_Kenny Lin) are in a drama together again. After “Princess Agents” I gave up hope waiting so long, but now I am so excited! So much so, that I am afraid to have too many expectations. But the ratings are high and I’m just going to cross my fingers while I watch and hope for the best. 😃
“Twinkling Watermelon” is a really good time-travel drama with surprising twists and turns. Never a dull moment—suspenseful and heart warming at the same time. I loved all the actors,. The chemistry was great and the ending was perfect—even when you started to wonder. I will definitely watch again and highly recommend this to everyone.

Because I watched the original amazing drama Scarlet Heart (2011) (Chinese version—Bu Bu Jing Xin), I just cannot get into this one. I like the actors, but it just didn’t work —maybe they tried to make it too dark? I definitely recommend that you should watch the original cdrama— it’s still one of my top favorite historical dramas after all these years. (For some reason the sequel is nowhere near the same quality as part one, but I gave it a try—don’t expect too much.) The first one is still worth watching though—Best music, scenes, actors. Everything was intriguing. if you’re wondering if you should watch it, just go try it right now and you will know for yourself! I rated it 9.5 (you can still watch it on viki.com)
Honestly, I keep seeing this in my list, but I always avoid it because I hate dramas about serial killers. But there’s so many good reviews. I am going to try to make myself watch it and see if I change my mind. I will let you know.
I really liked the actors. The main leads were good together, but they didn’t quite have the deep chemistry I was looking for. I love the sign language and thought they did an excellent job. The storyline was good but just a bit too slow paced for me, although it is possible that I would watch this again. I rated “Tell Me You Love Me” 8.5-9.0 out of 10.
I was thinking about watching this (I love most historical dramas) but nearly every comment and reviews are about how they skipped episodes or dropped the drama completely, gradually got bored, how terrible the ending was and lost potential. I don’t think I’m going to try this one. I can’t imagine how this got an 8.1 rating??
I remember how much fun this show was when I first watched it. And I have watched it several times since then. It will always be one of my favorites. It’s just super cute and entertaining!
Note: As far as actors who have had problems or pass away (rip), I think it does a disservice to their memory of the parts they played and the rest of the cast. I really think those comments should be marked as spoilers so people don’t shy away from watching a good show and good actors. Take care.
”I Hear Your Voice” is one of the best dramas I’ve watched. Definitely in my top 10. It is ntriguing and kept my interest as I eagerly watched every episode. It was serious yet lighthearted at the same time—that is one of the reasons that I love Kdramas so much. The actors were excellent and there was a lot of humanity in this drama all the way to the perfect ending. If you haven’t seen this yet, you won’t regret it.
Good drama. Liked the main leads. Last 10 episodes were a little drawn out, but the last two episodes were a good ending. I liked the main leads and supporting actors. I remember Feng Shao Feng from “Prince of LanLing”— he was also very good in that drama. I just saw Jing Tian as FL in “Wonderland of Love.” I don’t care for the title of the drama, but she was a really good actor. You should watch that one also if you haven’t already.
Really cute high school through college drama. it’s not an adventure type drama. It’s more of a family drama, but kept my interest every episode. the storyline was good and the actors were good. I enjoyed it a lot.
