It is BL. Our main character is an intersex male. And so far its been treated pretty respectfully and sensitively by the writers.

With Viki it all depends on their contract terms. Some get uploaded pretty fast. Others not so much. Some titles come with subs already coded in. Some have to go through Viki's volunteer team for subs. There's alot of variables. This show tends to become available immediately, but then takes a few hours to finish up the subs. But it still gets done comparatively quick bc of the episode length.

GagaOOLala has it up immediately as well and with subs immediately.

Episode 5 is officially on GagaOOlala and Viki - and thats where the majority of us in the comment section right now are probably watching - because it takes time for these shows to get up on the unofficial sites.


But keep an eye on the usuals: Dailymotion; Kissasian; Dramacool; BLParadise, etc etc.

And keep these sites in mind for the future - constant linking and talking about them is bound to result in them getting taken down - just like with KissAnime and several other sites.
Just give them some time after the episode airs.

Some of their conversations in past episodes do point towards them living separately. I think Li Gong just has a routine of going to his place for breakfast. And then occasional movie nights seem to happen at Li Gong's place. They dont live together. Theyre just always spending time together.

There are several in the works. It's not going to happen overnight. ESPECIALLY when you have people petitioning against KinnPorsche, Cutie Pie, SCOY etc FOR their mature themes.

Also, Taiwan tends to stay away from university settings - so you can always shift gears towards them.

Mm. But then you also tend to have a horde or haters that raise a fuss because their favorites didnt get more screentime. Or one of the other couples was a wasted episode. Or why a certain other couple WASNT included. And then you get complaints about the "simple, generic, trope heavy, etc" plot.

So many studios who have tried anthology series tend to navigate away. Close Friend is more or less an anomaly. Perhaps because the couples in it are usually also in several other airing dramas near simultaneously. Rather than between projects.

I didnt realize it was the same director. Now things make a bit of sense - i was feeling a slight undertone of similarity but i couldnt place it.

So i would love to hear people's thoughts so far!

1) Do you think Shinomiya is aware of Kouta's bad luck? Or at the very least that he provides a break to his own great luck? Or is he simply pursuing Kouta because Kouta reacts differently from everyone else (and has that adorable giddiness over the seemingly smallest things).

2) Will their respective lucks serve to balance each other out? Or will it be one of those luck-switching scenarios like nearly every other lucky-unlucky trope?

Most anthology series tend to have a really fast turn-around time since the plot doesnt tend to be too complex, and they don't tend to require many sets/locations.

Of course! There's no need to be going around unnecessarily heartbroken - at least until we have reason to be. I'm really confident that this divorce won't go through.

I also think their storyline might serve as a launching pad for some more momentum in our leads' relationship development.

They are a couple. But they are a couple pursuing a divorce.
HOWEVER. Based on the amount of info we got from the both of them about why they are pursuing a divorce - i think it's a really really simple miscommunication. And we see both of our leads overhearing part of the other's conversation. So seems very likely that our leads are gonna resolve the situation. Like I'd bet money on it - and I'm not a betting person. :)

The story makes a lot of sense and is pretty straightforward (unless you're one of those people who gets confused by flashbacks - because we have a few of those in the first couple episodes going back to one specific night). Characters are consistent. And enjoyable. Plus, I'm a sucker for friends to lovers. But it is mostly a fairly newbie cast, and even the first project for one of the actors in the second couple (its pretty obvious who) - so it can be a bit stiff at times ngl.

I wouldnt say they were enemies either. More Rivals/Friends to Lovers.

Looks like our cameo guests will be in episode 6 as well! Im still trying to figure out if theyre their Be Loved in House characters or new ones.

Oh hey! Our second couple is getting better at showing chemistry! :)

I feel like the bartender is still straight out of a stiff vampire movie more times than not though. Kinda like the Cullen family. I hope he gets more into the swing of things. I'm withholding any harsh judgement though - since it is his first project.

I still love the fact that our laundromat owner has a coffee brewing habit. When Bii's character in Bromance did it, it was always very charming. I also think their (bartender and laundromat owner's) two interests are pretty complimentary.

Omg. The opening scene for episode 5 is hilariously cheesy. I haven't seen a fight scene that cheesy in years. Or at the very least, not in new releases. XD
