I mean, there's only so much you can do when you have one that's 5'5" and the other thats just shy of 6'. Its…
Are you saying that couples in a height difference couple should not see themselves on screen because there's a chance viewers are going to associate height with age? The average height for a Thai man is 5'6", he's not even that short. Max is just tall.
Besides, thai production companies don't KNOW which couples are going to land with audiences and which arent. They normally just pair them up with people who they have decent rapport with and then get them out on the screen. Some actors take several pairings to land on a successful one. Max and Nat are obviously a couple that audiences liked, because they stuck together.
I personally dont see where you think shorter people look like children - but you are completely entitled to it in your dating life. But know that when it comes to TV, not everyone is going to see the same thing. In fact, i've seen a good number of people excited about height difference couples being on TV lately. So its not a casting mistake.
Wait, so Lian's resolve to start a relationship with Kuea once he came clean about Kirin only lasted 14 days?…
By that same exact logic - its not creepy, because they were both minors when it started. You cant exactly go 17 years of attraction, oops im not a minor better turn that sh*t off for a few years, and then turn it back on. Geez.
The function of a teddy bear has always been to give children the comfort and company they need until they can face the world on their own. Tofu did his job honorably.
Okay. I really expected the worst after reading all these negative comments here. Nonetheless I just watched the…
Yea, i knew from the get-go that this wasnt likely to have the happy end everyone seems to have wanted. Tofu would have to go back to being what he was. He served his purpose to help ML heal, grow, and come to terms with himself and now its time for ML to pursue his happiness without him. Just like the function of any teddy bear. Theyre there to provide kids with comfort and company, until theyre ready to face the night and the world on their own.
Is it sad, yes. Is it out of left field, i would say no.
This is a great Bl so far but there's something about it that I haven't quite grasped... something is missing…
Character depth. The plot is fairly good. Chemistry as well. But the characters arent well-developed or well-rounded. It makes some of the scenes feel disconnected and artificial.
Of course, most watchers appear to be more plot-driven fans, so this doesnt seem to even register for them, and thats totally okay. But this might be what you feel is missing.
i watched the ep in 2x the sex scene doesnt bother me, was well shot but when he lifts him dial did really look…
I mean, there's only so much you can do when you have one that's 5'5" and the other thats just shy of 6'. Its a pretty common thing worldwide with height difference couples for people to say one of them looks like a child.
Now why can’t he be this honest with lian?! Clearly he’s capable of setting boundaries…
Fr. He's really observant with Syn, and immediately adjusts his behavior to address it. He asks questions. And he remembers the answers. And you can bet that he's crystal clear on the fact that Syn likes him (or is at least attracted to him).
I swear its the reason why side couples are usually the best - very little of this unnecessarily long miscommunication drama.
It was the only worthwhile moment the whole episode.
I can definitely see that perspective. I think its the most memorable in my mind.
But i do really like when Diao was comforting Kuea and reminded him that he does have this house and his music to fall back on (even if the show kinda forgot about it for a few episodes there).
And when Nuer immediately cleared the air with Syn when he was looking bothered about Nuer talking with Kuea.
I never thought I'd have to make a post about this in here but it should have been expected. If people have a…
I think it all comes down to the degree at which people fixate on it. There's nothing wrong with noticing or theorizing fictional characters' positions or intimate acts.
The problem comes when some, usually non-queer, fans reduce the characters down to just their sex position. Or lean into stereotypes. Or fuss about a character lining up with a stereotype without any sort of confirmation of sex position made by the canon. Or the entire story comes down to "proving" who is top or bottom. Or invalidating the real and common existence of vers couples. Or getting in full on fights about it (as I saw back with Bad Buddy). And that's not even to bring up the people all over social who will ask who's top and bottom before even asking what the show is about.
And then, there's of course an increasing amount of delulus who carry the question into real life.
So there's a lot of reasons why this question has been putting a bad taste in people's mouths - queer and nonqueer.
Gender isnt usually determined by someone else's dialogue in Thai - but rather by the speaker/person being gendered themselves. So in all likelihood, the translators probably just chose a pronoun - or assumed feminine pronouns were the most correct since feminine terms are often used to sound cutesier in Thai.
Im still learning, so i could be wrong. If someone who knows more could elaborate or correct that'd be much appreciated.
I get peoples issues with this show but I'm actually really enjoying it and will be sad to see it end. Its a lovely…
Oh for sure, the cinematography is gorgeous. Even the actors were blown away when they watched the trailer and said it looked like a kdrama cinematography-wise.
Now why can’t he be this honest with lian?! Clearly he’s capable of setting boundaries…
I mean, it is tougher to set boundaries with someone that you are so terrified of loosing.
But on the other hand, I thought that we'd moved past this to be honest. Instead, it's like we're right back at the beginning - except with "I love you"s thrown in. There's been hardly any character or relationship growth beyond skinship in our two main couples and it's honestly quite upsetting (especially in regards to Kuea). I swear, the only 2 people who seem to know how to talk and observe is Nuer and Syn.
Alright…who’s gonna tell them that dog isn’t a “she”? 😂 I hope it’s just a translator error and…

Character development and pacing issues aside, Kuea letting his friend know how uncomfortable his jokes make him was truly landmark. Like I cant recall another series thats done this.
I just watched the first 2 eps today. It's not bad. I looked on here for some info, but I guess MDL doesn't list…
Yea, MDL doesn't list vietnamese titles. Which honestly i find quite weird since it is in South East Asia, and in between Thailand and the Philippines which are both listed on here. I keep meaning to ask someone about it.
Yea I think they're neighbors. But for sure, it's easy to miss that information in their past conversations.
Theres the one from one of the flashbacks from their 18th birthday. When the ran away from the school security guard. After they exchanged birthday gifts.
I think we see it a couple of times, but the first time we see it is at around 1:40 of Episode 1.
