I am VERY underwhelmed. Based on ep 1, I thought Akk liked Theo, but now I'm getting the opposite vibe in ep 2,…
As for the Akk-Theo who likes who. It seems like last episode was focused on Akk (thus why we saw a lot more of his scenes by himself), meanwhile this episode was focused on Theo (thus why we saw more of his scenes by himself). So it's showing that they both like each other - but aren't doing anything about it. They could have done it better, dont get me wrong, but I think that's what's happening here.
Enchante feels like it's going to be quite trope heavy. So I wouldn't be surprised if it turns into a confession situation, but it also might just be a way to see Akk taking care of Theo. Who knows. We'll see next episode I suppose.
Honestly, Phupha is giving me antagonist vibes. But there also appears to be some sort of history between Phupha and which ever one they ran into in the store. Perhaps something will happen there? Or perhaps they'll both cause trouble with Theo in order to one-up each other. Idk. Theories theories.
I'm not hooked per se. But I am curious. The Akk-Theo scenes are really cute. And I'm a sucker for friends-to-lovers tropes, and they appear to be endgame.
This series doesn’t offer English subs for international fans! AIS Play has just limited its current audience…
It's not exactly uncommon for them to delay the international release. Lovely Writer had a week delay for all their episodes to be released internationally.
Soooo let me get this right.. it only started airing this week and only 1 episode has been released but yall already…
I mean, that rating includes the episode ratings I believe. When you update your watching status, you have the ability to rate and review episodes - so that might be part of it? I'm not sure.
Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if people are rating the show as a whole so low - it seems people really dislike these first few episodes.
On Youtube here : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_HtEPrXQYKJ9Pihwg0u1Rw Starting February 19
I mean the description on the trailer says it will be released on YouTube. And then GagaOOlala has also stated (even today) that they will release it. So I think it will be on both.
Other shows have done so (In Between comes to mind). It also allows for more countries to have access - since YouTube isn't available everywhere.
As for WeTV/Tencent. No clue. It seems that Tencent/WeTV might be figuring stuff out since several shows that were supposed to be slotted for Tencent dont seem to be going on there. Perhaps they're figuring out their contracts after Line Thailand shut down? All hypotheticals.
But Mandee's comment under the link you just included had said that Tencent/WeTV would be for Thailand, Vietnam , Philippines, and maybe a few others. So it might be the local streaming they are choosing. Tencent/WeTV loves to geoblock their stuff.
I was getting a bit tired of Not Me the past few episodes because I felt like the pacing and exposure of all the side plots was off. But this episode today really revived my enthusiasm for the series. It was a glorious episode. I can't wait for next sunday. 🥰
I think it's good to keep it. The director did tweet a while back that this project wasn't out of the question…
It appears that I might have remembered wrong. I can't seem to find it. But another commenter might be referring to the same thing when they said:
"No, this is not true one of the producers for the history series said before history 4 that they were talking about giving the fans of MODC something maybe a season 2 or some kind of continuation of the story. And they did in close for you. After that, they have never released any more information. But I think most fans misunderstood and thought they meant a full season 2 but that has never been confirmed."
I'll see if I can find it again. If I do, I will update. But it's possible that they were just referring to the Close To You appearance of the side-couple.
Like i don't really get it. I gave up on anything CH. Bcs of these restrictions , And Now... this? Alas, it still…
Nothing's changed except that restrictions did get tighter after the Word of Honor pushback and the whole "feminine men" thing - thus why Immortality is delayed. No official word that I know of about it being cancelled. A few different rumors are circulating (none confirmed that I know of) about rewriting the script and/or changing one of the mains to a woman. It's tricky (and frustrating) because the project has always been pretty secretive.
can we delete this since this just gives false hope? this was never confirmed. i'm so sad
I think it's good to keep it. The director did tweet a while back that this project wasn't out of the question for the future. Plus, I think the admins will be more careful about accepting edits without proof, especially on this one, considering the uproar that prank caused recently. They even put a disclaimer up - which is the first time i've seen one on MDL.
Since it's airing internationally and therefore escaped the nasty censorship, I hope it gets the popularity it…
I think a lot of productions are seeing the benefits of gagaoolala in recent years (where other chinese BLs have premiered, as well as many other countries). Even productions from countries that don't have them restricted (like Thailand) are putting quality shows on there.
I came here after watching and I have to say I completely agree!
There's actually been a few that get through. From my understanding, the censorship applies to content that companies air in China. Some indie productions get around it by never going to air - choosing to premier on international platforms like GagaOOlala instead (where this one is also slotted to premier as well).
I just really wish.. That this drama is broadcasted.. Wholly.. Without getting into commotion from m China side🤞🤞....…
It's tricky. Generally BLs that dont pursue traditional funding and never go to traditional air (like the other ones on GagaOOlala) don't see much trouble. On the other hand, this one seems to be getting quite a bit of attention compared to the others.... So 🤞.
actually just checked out a few of the Director's previous works and hopefully he's improved.. if his past work…
Well that's how they get through the censorship. Because they don't go to air, they don't get as many, if any, sponsors because they wouldn't see the investment pay off as easily. So the productions that do get through premier as indie productions on international platforms like GagaOOlala.
is this going to be a romance or just platonic relationship? because i'm afraid i'm seeing china there and i couldn't…

*Edit: Holy shoot. It does work!
