This shortlength drama (that's what some circles call shows made of very short episode lengths) is made specifically for the new streaming service "TopReels" which is made specifically for shortform content (presumably from seeing the success of serialized POVs on Tiktok, Douyin, and other social media apps).
As far as I can tell from the trailer, the episodes will be telling a continuous story (so not a different skit for each episode). And often, after these short length dramas are completed, people will make a compilation of all the episodes into a shortfilm. This isnt the first shortlength drama, or even the first BL one. It's just the one of the first ones being made for this streaming service that plans to specialize in it.
Why are you making this about the NetJames ship? There are a TON of reasons why someone might turn away from a project. - Wanting to focus on something else (As James said in his statement) -Also, most Thai actors act as a side-gig, because acting, especially in Thailand, does not make a lot of money. - Wanting to focus on themselves/ their health/ their family/ etc. - Deciding that being an actor, and the criticism and attention that comes with it, isn't what he wants after all. Did you know that several Thai BL actors were actually randomly picked up off the street? - Tired of waiting for a project to start production, because it puts other opportunities on hold. - Another opportunity opened up and he needs to clear his plate. - Didn't like the contract terms (who knows, maybe this didnt begin production because of negotiations taking a long time 🤷♀️) - Didn't like the finalized script (remember, Pilot trailers are usually released before the script is finished) - A conflict with the crew or a conflict with the talent or production company (this might very well be the most common reason for actors leaving projects)
Among all the reasons to leave a project, conflict with a co-star is not the most common. Come on, just listen to the PLETHORA of actors and actresses worldwide who hated their costars. Even for years while working on a multi-season show.
It seems like it's yet another side-effect of BL shipping culture that makes people think that EVERY cast change is because of a conflict within the ship. Newsflash, several of your ships are probably not that close irl. Some might not even like each other anymore.
Also, i think it's disrespectful that y'all can only respect the ship as a set, but not as individual actors. James has left the project. Done. Respect his choice. Aint nothing you can do about it, especially now that it's been done. And then consider, would you rather Net to continue acting with a new partner, or would you rather he leave the acting field as well?
really hope gagaoolala picks this one up. Or at least that the studio puts this up with subtitles on vimeo. I would really love to support officially T_T

Season 3 should be unrelated as these are different characters.
The number of episodes has not yet been confirmed, but it could look something like this:
- 12 episodes of 10~15min
- 6 episodes of 20min
