Yes I noticed that too! The preview for ep 9 totally seems to match up with the Black-White reunion in the trailer!
Yea but Black didn't watch it happen, he was preoccupied (or am I thinking of the wrong Black appearance?). And he runs away. And doesn't actually come face to face with White until much later.
But yet based on the trailer snippets, and the fact that the preview scenes line up, Black and White will formally reunite here. Which completely changes how things will go down.
That Dan/Yok scene was incredible. Instead of going the obvious route and making it "sexy" it was raw and real.…
Plus in the preview for next episode we have a snippet of Sean asking "you have a brother?" And this could be 1 of 2 things, both indicating that he's figured it out. 1.) Its a flashback of Sean talking to Black. If he's remembering this scene, he's remembering it because he's figured it out. 2.) It's him talking to White. For him to pose such a question also suggests that he is figuring things out, or will provide him with that final puzzle piece to figure it out.

Sean has been suspicious of White (as Black) this entire time, thinking that this is a game to Black. Black broke his trust long before the events of this series (the getting suspended flashback) and Sean doesn't forgive. But he knows something's different here - White doesn't act like Black at all.
So Sean dug around in Black's apartment. And what did he find? Glasses. And contacts. Black has never needed these things. Plus these items are very expensive. Perhaps he may have even found White's ID as well off screen (he's certainly doing a thorough search, and why wouldn't he search his wallet; or even his ID from when he took the government test that would in theory be in the same bag). Combined with all the other behaviors that don't line up (and the ridiculous questions White would ask that Black would know). Sean has to know that White is not Black.
Then there's the conversation with Gumpa that gets cut off for us viewers. What other purpose would that conversation have? Especially since it's right after he leaves White.
Then there's the whole abandoned building bit, where he seems to be testing White and paying extra attention to him. -The "good at spying" line was clue number 1. No where in the series have we gotten any clues that White or Black are good at spying. This was an indirect jab/hint to White that he knows. - The way he pulled the bench up to window and helped White get through was also pretty telling. He has never showed this courtesy to him before, especially because Black would have been able to do it no problem. -White being winded from running up a flight of steps (something that is suggested to be very out of character for Black both in this scene and in the rooftop training scene a few episodes back) -watching how White reacts to being forced so close to Sean -tickling White (another thing that keeps getting suggested as being a new thing, but not so easy to suddenly appear) -the trust fall (Sean was just talking about how ridiculous the exercise was when White did it, besides he wouldn't trust Black to do that, Black has already let him "fall" before with that suspension flashback). -And then the kiss. I do believe there might be some history between Black and Sean. Something that made it where this test confirmed that White isn't Black. Either because Black would never have let him do that, or because they kiss different.

I'm avoiding comparing it to the novel as much as possible. They are so dramatically different from each other, plus P'Nuchy's statement that it would be an almost entirely different story. So I'm basing my plot analysis solely on episodes and the trailer.
I'll probably go back and make comparisons later. Because once we know what plot stuff is the same and different, the book can provide really good character insights (because it does look like the character personalities are pretty much the same - except maybe Sean, at least in the beginning; and of course the end-game couples).
So in this trailer for ep9, We actually see that it's Black that sees them kissing !https://www.instagram.com/tv/CZo83mNBoYB/?utm_medium=copy_link
I wonder why it’s different than the one they have with the episode and posted on youtube.
But regardless, the scene they chopped up in the trailer leading up to the reunion (which you can tell by the background and clothes) line up with even the youtube episode preview. Black’s back and I'm here for it. I didn’t think it’d be so soon.
I'm really loving this. I like the pacing, the colors, style... I'm enjoying all the couples (especially the messy…
I'm thinking that about the product placement as well. Because, especially in this episode, they're really jamming product placement right after each other (in the most natural way they can). So I think it's so that we can get more serious or plot-fitting scenes later without the product placement interruption.
When it first started airing they had it available on IQIYI, and I could watch it with standard. But now it seems…
Yea, the aggravation is why I haven't kept up with it like I planned. I'll probably pause my subscription as well, and just get a SH subscription and binge it when it's getting close to done.
I agree with all of this. Spot on. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who skipped the Moon competition. Overall, I found it a light, short watch that didn't aggravate me. And it got significantly better as it went along.
Very curious about something: those of you who watch the show on iQiyi's site and/or app, which membership do…
When it first started airing they had it available on IQIYI, and I could watch it with standard. But now it seems like episode 2 and up are VIP only (i dont know whether it is Standard VIP or Premium VIP), and fans outside of Southern/South eastern Asia are supposed to use a StarHunter youtube channel subscription (from what I've been reading on World of BL).
Plus, if they were in a real relationship - that age gap is so small that many western countries would include it under "romeo and juliet" statures/exceptions. And actually, many western countries have age of consent set at 16/17 - so this wouldnt even be an issue in places like Britain, Canada, and Australia (and some US states) anyway.
Different country, different culture, different standards. In Thailand, age of consent is 15. In Thailand, adult age is not until 20. Please stop consuming international content and judging ethics based on your country’s views/standards.
Plus these actors aren’t doing anything. It’s rated 18+, but the content warnings are for violence and profanity. Even if there is something intimate later, it’d probably be with the mains. And their age gap is not really that significant, especially in Thailand - and especially considering thatd be a realistic age gap for 2 people in university who might be doing this irl. None of these actors are shooting a porno, nor would they be doing the actions in reality. And despite what some fan service (SantaEarth) will have you believe, they're not forced into these relationships in real life either. They are actors, acting their part. And the directors, producers, etc. use camera work and ambiguity to suggest anything beyond kissing. This isn't TharnType, or Together With Me, or Manner of Death, or the upcoming BDSM dramas. This is a college sport romance drama - with actors that are college age (with the exception of Tae). It'd be a vastly different story if it was an actor just barely over the age of consent, or a young actor paired with someone significantly older. So I don’t see how its “traumatic” or “problematic.”
Even if fans are creating a narrative that goes beyond what is shown on the screen - that is their doing. It wouldn't have any effect on the actors as it is not real, unless the fans are being disrespectful and shoving it in their faces or harassing them. I've never understood why people felt the need to do any of that anyways. Besides, they'd hopefully have enough sense to know the difference between actor and character (since the characters here are all perfectly acceptable even by western values).
I like how Vee and Dome arent playing coy/dense. Like they havent done or said anything at this point in the story, but they still recognize that their feelings are there and reciprocated and are open about it being a problem.
Agree that the slo-mos are kind of weird, but wishing the plot was something else? You're talking as if you've…
Agreed. But what I've been finding in alot of discussions on various platforms is that people are trying to pinpoint story problems because its slow. So I wonder if the OP believes that the "harem" plot execution (or lack thereof) is the problem with their inability to get into the story, because the story is moving kinda slowly. Afterall, that was OP's first complaint.
But definitely, I am seeing alot of people trying to compare Enchante to Bad Buddy and Not Me. Which is a definite disservice as they were never advertised as being remotely similar. Different story, different vibe, different storytelling.
I'm quite scared to start watching this series, as a French speaker am I really ready to go through the cringiness…
I can't speak to the french speaking.
But as for the plot. It's slow right now, but if you like to analyze while you watch - there's alot happening subtextually that could make for an interesting story.
As for the Akk-Theo who likes who. It seems like last episode was focused on Akk (thus why we saw a lot more of…
I think the 4 other guys are going to a plot device that relates to Theo's wealth. Theo not wanting to be seen as wealthy or special has been reoccurring all over these past 2 episodes. It must be important. It might even be/become one of the insecurities that keeps him from getting with Akk.
I get the criticism of the leads not being representative of the average man and being too similar looking to…
I couldn't tell you. Height has never really been a thing for me. Perhaps because I'm ace? Or because I'm just barely 5'5" and would be small compared to most men and good portion of women anyway. Idk.
I know people have a thing for height differences right now - but that's obviously not the case here. Perhaps it has something to do with the imagining being swallowed by a hug/cuddle? I honestly have not a clue. But GMMTV is almost solely tall guys. Even Gun is quite tall, but gets dwarfed by the other actors in the agency.
It might also simply be a Thai beauty standard. Thailand is quite picky with their beauty standards from what I've been reading and seeing in books, shows, and news.
