A lot of people haven't caught on to the difference between pilot trailers and trailers in the Thai BL industry. It's not really something you see anywhere else. This trailer was merely to test and build interest from potential viewers, potential sponsors, and (in this specific case based on the casting call) potential cast members. Sometimes these pilot trailers will be released years before production even starts. And how much is finalized before the release of a pilot trailer is highly variable from project to project. Pilot trailers are more like a pitch, which much of the world leaves for behind closed doors, or for something like Kickstarter. The Thai BL industry lets the public see them, so the public has saying power. Which is pretty great in theory, but bad when people start thinking of them as standard trailers.
Idk who all is showing up for the casting. So it IS possible Benjamin and Folk might audition amongst anyone else there. And if they do go, perhaps they'll get those characters. Or different characters. There's no telling or predicting. It's gonna be dependent on who shows up and what the casting directors decide. I don't think there's any point getting upset until casting has been done.
This needs to be labeled 'Fantasy' as it's set in fictional country.
a fictional country is just a fictional element. Just like any tale with made up stories, characters, etc. Fantasy requires a magical element, not simply a made-up one.

She’s always been fine reusing actors - if theyre for the same characters. So that’s not the reason JSY hit a snag. Rather, i’d guess it mightve hit a snag in securing those same actors for this drama.
As for Love Sea and Boy Next World casting the LITA main cast as different (and main) character - i aint got the foggiest idea what she’s doing. Breaking the illusion of her stories all taking place in the same universe. Especially given Boy Next World crosses paths with TharnType/DSN, and LITA crosses paths with DSN, and one of the lead characters in Boy Next World would have an overlapping social circle with LITA, meaning SOMEONE would make a comment to these characters looking like each other.
Not to mention, Mame has always let her other actors go after their project to find other work. Which has worked well for many of them. She’s holding on tight to these ones, and i’m worried it’s gonna affect their prospects in the future as they start becoming synonymous with a character type, a ship, and mame.
They posted a trailer on their weibo the day before it started airing. It's still near the top. But unfortunately it doesn't have subs. I haven't found one on YouTube yet either.
