Acting is poor.
And there's no semblance of a plot anywhere to be seen.
It feels rather reminiscent of the atmosphere of Friend Forever, but at least in Friend Forever, underneath the awful script, there was a plot and chemistry.
It's an MFlow production (Coffee Melody and Ai Long Nhai), so I had 0 expectations and maybe that's why I'm not more mad at it.
Giving it one more episode to judge.
Both dramas are adapted from novels by the same author.
But they were produced by different studios, thus a different cast and altered storyline.
Which makes him a side, which is rather opposite of a vers.
Fumiya, the caretaker type who bottles up his feelings until they explode.
Ritsu, the romantic artist who started taking Fumiya's care for granted.
And it all came to a head on Ritsu's birthday, when Fumiya's outburst went further than he meant.
I get the feeling that we are going to get an interesting parallel to that scene as Fumiya's start-over plan gets revealed in all its selfish desperate glory.
I really like the touch of realism here. That even the best and sweetest relationships can turn sour after repeated neglect for yourself and your partner. However, I do strongly believe that this one will have a happy ending.
GMM Grammy is at the top
Underneath GMM Grammy is multiple separate companies including:
GMM25: A television channel that shows content from several other GMM Grammy companies (including, but not limited to, GMMTV)
GMMTV: A production company and talent agency
People like to say that the appeal of enemies-to-lovers is the notion that someone can fall/be in love with you while you are at your worst. This isn't enemies-to-lovers, but I dare say that it's the same situation. King is attuned to the fact that Uea is far more sensitive and distressed than he is pretending to be, and is trying desperately to bring back some of Uea's typical fire.
Also, it wasn't stated, but I just know that Uea's wariness of being tested is because of his mother.
I'm loving the characters, dynamic, and tension. And I can see where several plot conflicts/tensions will be coming in. But I still feel like something's missing. Also, the OST isnt doing anything for me; am I the only one?
