In which countries this series is available in Iqiyi app?
I know that at the very least, it is in the US. The only other streaming app i'm aware that has it is GagaOOlala, so I think a pretty sizable number of countries should have it on IQIYI.
Look... I'm still here simply because I'm curious where on earth they're taking this story. I know maybe 3 or 4 things for sure. Those things being who the 2 end-game gay couples are, the fact that Tin's senior is going to lead to Park getting jealous, and that Pao's homophobic parents are going to be a problem. I'm completely clueless about everything else in this story. Legitimately. I cant predict nada.
For those wondering, episode 5 has proven that there is a difference between the cut and uncut version. Gonna have to change my perspective of this being a show meant for kids.
"Don't do that again unless you like me." Talk about actions speak louder than words. Another scene that came out of nowhere, but thats the trend, yes?
These leads apparently spend too much time with children. They rarely act their ages.
Tin. Honey. Why are you so persistent about Park? I don't see the appeal!!
Tin and Park exemplify a common concern about acquittances/friends-to-lovers age-gap romances (and I dont even know if they have an age-gap 🤷🏼♀️): Park can't seem to tell and stay consistent with how he's viewing Tin. A kid in his care? A childhood friend? Someone he's got feelings for? Who knows?! He doesn't. I don't.
I was looking forward to this list, because what I watched the most of GL shows, are movies. My top ones are Love…
Those are great choices. I need to rewatch We Are Gamily. I watched it on YouTube back near when it was newly released. I dont remember much about it anymore.
It was a life movie with a touch of mysterious ambiguity. Mostly boring, except for the bone I have to pick with FL2, until about halfway through.
Like, yes, both of the roommates were out of line. But just because you pay the rent doesn't mean you're a good roommate. In fact, she better be glad that she does pay the rent, because I wouldn't put up with a roommate like her. And since her behaviors are the ones that are literally receiving complaints from the neighbors, I think if they were both paying rent, FL1 would be the one with the most staying power. My biggest issue though: YALL ARE BOTH ADULTS. Yall both have important things coming in the mail. You can't just take the mail and put it inside your bedroom without looking through it. Especially since YOUR ROOMMATE'S MAIL IS IN THERE!!! And you can't just be unreachable for possibly weeks on end without warning.
The director writes "I hope that, through the film, I was able to show the changes in our daily lives that can happen through the acts of accepting, eluding, struggling to understand and respecting each other." With that in mind, I feel like the film should've shown them actually discussing better living habits. Instead, the only resolution they have between each other is about the fact that FL2 is paying rent and FL1 is trying to make her big break and is sorry that FL2 is paying the rent by herself, and then they go off and have fun in the mountains. That doesn't actually solve any of their problems.
The second part of the film (there's 4), also had me wondering if FL2 is supposed to be neurodivergent or just dense and insensitive.
The movie is a co-production between the US, Canada, and Hong Kong. And possibly between Japan and New Zealand as well. So, being co-produced with MDL countries, yes, it goes on MDL.
There is nothing Rated R in this show as rated on Viki. A PG-rated show has more action than that dead fish kiss.
An R rating means a lot more than just sexual content 🤨 "This rating means the film contains adult material such as adult activity, harsh language, intense graphic violence, drug abuse and nudity." In all likelihood, it's rated R due to the heavy prevalence of alcohol.
Excellent, well-thought out review, yours is the best here and really should be the only one to look at. People…
Thanks for the comment! That's sweet. 🥰 It's all about making sure you have the right expectations. I for one am glad we're getting some diversity of stories, styles, and tones. It wasn't perfect, but it was a nice change of pace - especially since I do like life dramas.
This short webdrama started filming in August 2022 and finished filming in September 2022. It was planned to broadcast in Q1 2023, but as anyone who's familiar with c-dramaland can attest, nothing ever goes to schedule.
I’m so glad I finally got to rewatch this via an official source and in high quality. I’m still sobbing like…
The note about the ID card. Another 2 edged sword of symbolism, as you pointed out. I think what really struck home with me about it was the "you must have paid a huge fine for getting it this late." Straight to heart. That hurt.

I wholeheartedly agree with everything here. This film was so rich in symbolism and spot on in performance.
Peter Pan has been affiliated before with kids who never got to grow up into adulthood (for any reason). And Peter Pan actually has another association with suicide as well: That of Peter Llewelyn Davies. The namesake of Peter Pan. Who committed suicide after a lifetime of being linked to the character.
And since Beom never looked confused by his absence, but rather straight up distraught, I believe that he did in fact commit suicide. And the trip was a way to fulfill Beom's wish of experiencing adulthood with him, something that he just didn't have the will to do anymore.
There's also the symbolism of Wendy being Beom in that picture. Wanting to act like he knew what was best, but simultaneously craving the freedom, the life that Peter Pan/Minha showed him. And Peter Pan, holding his hand on the way there.

Nah, but seriously. Talk about actions speak louder than words right there, lol.

I watched Love My Life back in October during my A-Z Movie Watch Challenge. My thoughts here if you want: https://kisskh.at/profile/AthenaTheStorierX/reviews/236625
I watch a lot of GL short films, so I was most excited to see all the new (to me) titles added in the drama edition voting poll.
