Wow, I didn’t realize War has been in the BL/LGBTQ+ genre for so long. But also, I hope they didnt expect us…
For one, why are you sharing a story in promotion of your app where a junior high student (with his school uniform as the pfp no less) is on your gay networking and dating app looking for a hook up?
Also, how you gonna tell me that the mom is shocked at finding out her son is gay after talking to him on a gay app?
Wow, I didn’t realize War has been in the BL/LGBTQ+ genre for so long. But also, I hope they didnt expect us to believe that this 21-22yo man at the time was a believable junior high school student. But i think they probably casted him, an adult, because of the topics and scenes contained here. I wonder if this was one of the stories sent in by users of the blued app. If so, i wonder if i should give it some leeway…
It’s a 2016 Thai BL film. Anyone who’s been in the game long enough, or has checked out some of the backlog, can probably predict what that means. Consent? We dont know her. Honestly, the scene where our leads get together the first time, no idea how far they went, reminds of Book and Frame’s first time. Like almost exactly. Which makes sense, since both of these directors were on that project around the same time as this.
Also, the big reveal was simultaneously predictable and made no sense.
The film is from Blued, a gay social networking and dating app, and partially serves to promote the app. But parts of this story make me believe this wasn’t a tale sent in by users. Or they adapted a story to put Blued at the forefront more. Either way though, there are so many problems with how the story comes together that the supposed to be touching message is hard to keep in focus.
But, it did have some highly quotable takeaways. Like: “There’s a fine line between intimacy and privacy.”
Couple 2: Phayu (Prai's best friend and Pleng's code senior) and Hin (Pleng's roommate + childhood bestfriend) Their story is also covered in Art Adore En (upcoming)
Bonus Couple that will be making occasional appearances: Ken (Prai's friend) and Din (Hin's brother) Their story is also covered in Chains of Heart
Reportedly: Puth (Prai's half brother and Pleng's best friend in his faculty) is in a poly relationship in the source material, but they weren't casted (at least as this twitter post), so we may or may not see this relationship
Does anyone know if this is in the same universe as Chains of Heart?
Yes. This is the parent story of Chains of Heart, focused on Hin and Payu in college.
Another upcoming drama occurring in the same storyworld is Love Puzzle.
But since all are from different studios, and adapted from novels that can stand on their own, you shouldn't need to watch any other title to understand any of these titles.
Several Youku titles eventually go on their YouTube channels on a delay (either by a few weeks or after airing is complete) - some of which have english subtitles.
But as of right now, I'm not aware of anywhere thats offering or promising subs.
The English title... reminds me of About Is Love. LOL
Yea, I definitely prefer the auto-generated translation order: "The Cultivation of a Playwright Princess" or "A plan for developing a playwright princess"
