Waste of time, hyper violent cliché K-gangster flick with no merits. None of the performances were believable (no believer here), maybe with the exception of Oh Seung Hoon. They looked like kids playing at being gangsters, their dispositions didn't match the nastiness.
Oh God. Is this horror? Why they targeting Nuns in horror movies? Lol
I guess the nuns are going to win in this one, rather than being demon-fodder. Kick-ass nuns... I saw a film a bit like this once, it was called Nuns With Guns I think. Actually it was nothing like this, but would certainly improve my opinion of these two actresses if it was.
Because they're mostly volunteer subbed/segmented and give credit to the people and work that goes into that.…
Don't digress, my point is about professionalism.
Every other service does better English subs than Viki and I can already watch this drama on one of them, thank goodness.
I shouldn't need to explain why these two common mistakes on Viki should stop:
❌Translation of bgm lyrics (with rare exceptions)
❌Using subtitles as a platform to broadcast messages.
Your second paragraph about costs contradicts your first, where you suggest it's not for me. The cost is what it is, it's a general business principle. Essentially, the service Viki provides depends on subtitles. It doesn't want to pay for proper subtitles though.
I wonder what you mean by "we" in your latter sentences. Who are "we"? Are you Rakuten? If you are, please just sell Viki to a proper international company like Prime or Netflix, you're hogging broadcast rights and fucking them up.
Read the rest only if bored.
You use fast food as an example. Would you pay the same if your fast food was made by amateurs, to keep the costs down? In order to keep the costs down you let the amateurs *run amok* once the food leaves the kitchen? Add their own toppings? Translate to their own type of ketchup? Who'd want to pay for that? Meanwhile the franchise owner goes into disrepute.
If 'you' want $10 less every month by telling me to watch elsewhere, maybe I should - you clearly understand the concept of the business 'you' are in. 'You' who cares about costs yet disregards revenue.
"You" should do a music service where you hum out of tune over all the tracks, that wouldn't be annoying either. You could suggest to all the people that complain to make their own music if they don't like it. And say how great and noble the amateur hummers actually are.

I don't want that. I do not want to pay to watch a charity service. I want to watch stuff I pay for... without feeling guilty that someone's contributed work for free, why should I have to feel grateful? Especially when it's not to a professional standard and breaks the rules of subtitling. I expect professionalism in any service I pay for. To refer to it as "blood, sweat and tears" is a little extravagant. I just want good subs that don't distract me from what I'm watching, that's all. It's simply vulgar to credit oneself for subtitling during the runtime. All the credit can be paid behind the curtain... just like for the actual cast and crew that really did pour their blood, sweat and tears into making it! The dramatic closing scenes of last week's My Dearest episodes were damaged by the emojis.
So are you saying the Viki subs are bad because they have explanations for idioms? Why is it bad thing?
No. Not idioms - I used a bad example, but assumed we all knew what 'live up to your name' means. I'm talking about the unnecessary translation hints that have probably been cleaned up now by the English editor.
Right. Every now and then I have to say something about Viki. Apart from the stupid additional subtitle to announce themselves on every show... the English subs for this drama are total shit. They've added additional translations in parentheses to the subtitle such as: "Living up to your name (uphold expectations)" F*king hell!!
Moon is absolutely great, with two great lead actors. I rate ENA's dramas highly, their viewership doesn't seem to match, so maybe you have to pay extra to get ENA or something, no idea how subscription services are organised in SK.
Too bad this is on Amazon Prime which I don't subscribe to and hence won't be able to watch. Sigh.
Yeah, it happens. Amazon's recently done a deal (or bought) iQiyi, so some of iQiyi exclusives are coming through too (badly rendered, but it's Amazon). One that I watched recently that I'd missed was Lost, it was good.
But on your side you have self-justification... you can simply infer that it's not a title you would have been interested in. I do it all the time and, strangely, I hate every drama exclusive to Disney.
Why do you insist on writing comment after comment after comment after comment when you've ONLY WATCHED THE FIRST…
I hear you. I watched all of Doona, that was a mistake I'm not repeating just because I like the star. It's below my threshold. Let's see... the 'mad' lady got cured by receiving a piece of cake... it was the last straw and by that point my patience had worn very thin. It was obnoxious, no way I'm forcing myself through another series - I saw through it.
Edit: validation? No. Is that why you write comments? I'm compensating for the false positives from the Netflix cheerleaders. I believe they're lies, planted by fakes. Like companies that pay for 1000 positive reviews on Amazon for crappy products (almost everything on Amazon these days)... it works, I don't like it.
Another edit: I don't normally rate anything I drop after 1 episode, but seeing how this drama has an unrealistic 8.7 at the moment, I rated it 5. Mental patients are human beings too, yay! Spare me. The observations are elementary, the work of a kid.
I don't mind the drama, that word is 🤮 - what does it mean? (still no sarcasm emoji available, I don't need to know)

(Please don't say "in his skin")
Oh never mind, I see it's a cameo.
