Not for me. Apart from the fact that I didn't like a single character, even his mum, there's nothing more heinous in sport than coaxing a boxer out of retirement. I'm not interested in the struggle, the journey, the ups and downs or the redemption of shitty people. It churns my stomach, no thanks. Why watch 11 episodes that make you feel like shit? Just so they can show you the opposite side in episode 12? Like sucking on a lemon just to make oranges taste sweeter? That's a con trick, not good drama.

That's a Japanese porn plot right there, it tends to work well when it's about sex. But the more a drama tries to make it believable, unless it's a high quality production with a very good narrative, one ends up thinking... what's she doing with that kid? This one's sounds like a shallow synopsis - like a training drama for a young actor, funded by his own agency.

I notice there's an article about each of the supporting actors being scene stealers and so on. They are all magnificent, but it's absolutely impossible to steal any scene containing one, let alone both of Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun-jin. Impossible.

I like Hyo Joo's outfit, she looks elegant and chic. She's stylish. Lovely. She's standing behind the men on the cover but demands the attention. Tbh, without camera tricks if she stood next to Ryu Seung Ryong in those heels, she'd probably be above him.

This was the only weak point of the script. They briefly hinted it was 'Joo', but didn't follow up, and for good reason.... at the time she found out she was pregnant, when did she have time to heal from her surgery? Muri desho. There are more reasons, it would have undermined the narrative.

I saw your other post about the alley... didn't you think it was unusual though? The drunk man seemed to mistake her for someone he knew - more to find out later, maybe not lazy writing after all?

Hwaiting. There's a gold mine of Korean movies and dramas on the various platforms, more stuff than we'll ever get time to watch. Just pick something you haven't seen while you're waiting. It sure takes your mind off it, sometimes I get obsessed with an old drama and by the time I'm done there are plenty of episodes of new dramas to catch up on.

He might suffer from over exposure if he carries on at this pace! So far he hasn't been in anything I've liked, but this one's a proper Jtbc drama and he's doing well so far.

I loved how she blushes, it was enormously cute and happens to all of us, at least sometimes!! Haven't seen any comments hating on it. If there are, I must have blocked those users (trolls) or their comments have been outnumbered already.

It was a little strange, I thought he really was a grim reaper, rolled my eyes and thought 'here we go again', leaving her on the floor was too much... but she uttered a funny line just to let us know they know what we're all thinking... nice touch.

I have the same unconscious bias, if something's from abroad it's more authentic than something local! So many nice touches to it. Tapping her shoe like Gil Ra-im made me smile.

A promising start, I can't help but like Jo Bo-ah, she's pretty and quirky, she grew more into her character as it went on - although I couldn't feel it right at the beginning. One thing bugged me, and it reminded me of Abyss a little bit - when the protagonist receives a magical gift and doesn't treat it with the respect it deserves - it's just unnatural and undermined the sensitive and diligent character we'd thus far met. She flicked through the pages of that ancient book as if it was a cheap comic - our natural instinct when we see something old is to treat it delicately, with respect. I thought it a little inconsistent, probably in the stage notes.

Deservedness is relative, the score is absolute. Anything exceptional won't be to the taste of everyone. The score is a credit to the drama, a reflection that it's extraordinary, it contains polarising topics after all.
