That's not what I meant. If that's all you see... well, ok. When I read criticism (proper criticism, not just insults) I try to see where the view comes from instead of dismissing it with "new to K-drama" and "it's so obvious" clichés.

His role in Bok soon is small (not unusual in movies) he plays a younger version of a character - but he projects that character perfectly, the demeanour, disposition, everything - right to the soul, he nailed it.

It might appeal to young male virgins. It looks like the gap is going to be the main topic of the drama, so those issues you listed will be its bread and butter. If they overcome all those hurdles and live happily ever after... that's the least likely outcome and a bit 🤮, such romances occur often and don't last long.

No, it isn't a classic character development, whatever that means. I can't stand people who say "character arc" either, just meaningless buzzwords to try and sound cool. Any protagonist needs some redeeming features from the start, this dude's got none and he's an idiot... there won't be anyone with common sense (or a heartbeat) left to see if he turns into a nice guy.

There was one less than 6 months ago about speed skaters. It was better than this.

It's stupid all the way through episode 1. Characters in the sports business saying "this guy's the best" multiple times, then "the guy" turns out to be a naive idiot doing stupid things for bad reasons - as if it's his first day being a sports agent - and he's not likeable in any way. Talk about how not to write a protagonist.

It just makes him trash and also an idiot. Not the type of character to keep you hooked for the journey.

Not for me. Apart from the fact that I didn't like a single character, even his mum, there's nothing more heinous in sport than coaxing a boxer out of retirement. I'm not interested in the struggle, the journey, the ups and downs or the redemption of shitty people. It churns my stomach, no thanks. Why watch 11 episodes that make you feel like shit? Just so they can show you the opposite side in episode 12? Like sucking on a lemon just to make oranges taste sweeter? That's a con trick, not good drama.

Random. I wish Viki would stop subtitling the song lyrics. Anyone agree? I feel like they're assaulting me with words when I could just enjoy some beautiful pictures in peace.
