If it's ENA I'll definitely be watching, I love their style. I also love that their stuff's reaching the majority of k-drama fans via Viki and Netflix too, hope this one follows suit.
Very impressed with the writing in this drama, there were many times I thought "he/she's*obviously* going to... x/y/z" and was pleasantly surprised every time. Characters were all spot on too, the way insidious undertones crept in was delicate. Really great acting too, it was well made.
the design is very "Trolley" in the end she had to choose and sacrifice love it!! 9.0 for me the soundtrack is…
I don't think so, tbh I thought her choice was a consequence of another. The tram issue has to be a choice that affects all the other outcomes? One person made the critical choice - for me, but it depends on whose outcome you're interested in I suppose.
Can I suggest an alternative view? Is it possible that some clever publicists are beating the Seung-gi drum? I like him, but he's a classic attention seeker... I was a little cynical at the marriage announcement and the style of it - but stopped myself commenting... now the 'fans' (publicists?) disapprovals, next we'll get yet another heart-felt letter to request the fans respect his private life... oh, with the standard request not to speculate and make stuff up... I mean, the response to this article is a little surprising to me, but going perfectly to plan? Isn't he in need of some attention right now? His trajectory plateaued some time ago, it's now going the other way. Call me cynical. Sorry!
You're leaving now? What if we get a full on Parasite ending too?
I was joking. A few details are similar to the movie Parasite, and there was even an in-joke in the script about it... mum introduced as housemaid to same rich family whose kids are tutored by the daughter. I made a joke that if the end of the story was like Parasite it would be a spectacle - naturally I don't think it will as it was just a joke.
Nothing bothers me about these characters, I'm looking forward to the final 4 episodes, it's a super entertaining drama, whatever happens is ok with me.
I dropped this drama after the first few eps and came back to see the last 2 eps bcs of tiktok videos. JEG still…
You sound just like... one of the rich folks, she's just a peasant after all, right? For the benefit of anyone who doesn't get my point, I'm on team Eun-kang.
He's a bit wimpy, gets on his knees too quick, takes his mum's side in front of his wife, disrespects Ms Cho... I fear these weaknesses may portend his destiny
Why is the mistress still on the husband house. It she trying to replace the wife and trying to be a mom to the…
She likes the husband and maybe feels responsible for mum's disappearance. And... Secrets. The rich dad doesn't know about the connections among the poor family... you know, Parasite. I love they made the joke themselves in the script!
Thanks, I see what you mean. Btw how are you measuring Viki views, number of ratings? Seems fair enough - I think TB used to be fully free to view, it seems disproportionately high! Secretary Kim too... they're both shows that always appear on the Viki home page...
I think your use of 'huge' in your final 2 paragraphs is hyperbolic. The ratings are standard. The buzz was normal - media attention was above average, not sure why it worked out like that, friends in high places maybe.
Your views are a bit typical of SNS followers. A few people get together on social media and think they're ready to take on the world... when it comes to see who turns out for the revolution it's usually a disappointment in both quality and quantity - the sad reality.
Regarding Moon Ga-young, she's transcendent in The Interest of Love. It's her best performance to date. Sounds like you haven't watched it yet.
I see, so it's trending because it's new. That small detail is missing from the article and your reply - it's not due to The Interest of Love then, my bad for suggesting that. It's not due to fan bases either, by your own admission: "of course it will trend now, not three months back".
